Rachel Lynn and I need to have a conversation about the men she creates because Nico, Callum, Killian, Tristan, Kit, Lachlan, Grayson and now ROYAN WOLFE?! Ma’am. At some point this becomes personally irresponsible. LOL. My expectations are already questionable and you just keep handing me fictional evidence that I should raise them higher.

But Royan? Royan hit somewhere different.

Between Heart and Stone has the paranormal romance, found family, banter, hurt/comfort, soul-bond goodness and one very crochety Irish ghost who has been dead since the 1800s which takes the term “age gap” to a whole different place, lol. But underneath all of that is Avery.

And Avery got me.

She’s lost. She’s struggling with her mental health and trying to figure out who the hell she is when the version of herself she knew doesn’t quite fit anymore. So she goes to Ireland looking for a reset, and somewhere between the Guinness, book club, whale watching, gorgeous scenery, unexpected friendships and one stubborn ghost, she starts finding pieces of herself again.

And THAT is where Rachel got me.

Because Royan doesn’t swoop in and magically make Avery whole. This isn’t meet hot ghost, depression cured, happily ever after. Avery has to find her own light. Royan just sees her while she’s searching for it.

And maybe Rachel’s men give me wildly unrealistic expectations about love. Maybe books in general do.

But part of me also believes this kind of love exists.

The kind where someone sees your darkness without being afraid of it. Where they don’t need you to be perfectly healed or have your sh!t together before you’re worthy of being loved. The kind where someone feels strangely, inexplicably like home.

Some people really do find that.

Maybe someday I will too.

And then Rachel had the audacity to give me:

“His soul and my soul were very old friends and I knew in my bones that this was right… he was right.”

Ma’am. I WAS ALREADY EMOTIONALLY COMPROMISED.

I’m saying absolutely nothing else about Avery and Royan because I refuse to spoil this journey. Just know I laughed, I hurt, I hoped, and somewhere along the way this stopped being simply a paranormal romance I was beta reading and became something that hit me in a very real place.

Rachel, thank you for trusting me with Avery and Royan before the rest of the world gets to meet them. There is something incredibly special about being allowed into a story while it’s still becoming, and I don’t take that trust lightly. I am so grateful I got to watch this one grow.

This is a book about love, yes.

But it’s also about finding yourself. Finding light in unexpected places. And the people who love us back toward life when we’ve forgotten what that light looks like.

Five stars. All the love. All the gratitude. And Royan Wolfe can take his rightful place beside Nico, Callum, Killian, Tristan, Kit, Lachlan and Grayson on the increasingly concerning list of Rachel Lynn men responsible for my unrealistic expectations.

And apparently I’ll keep letting her do this to me.

I received an early beta copy from the author. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Why BHS hit me so hard

1. The love between Wolfe and Avery was PURE unfiltered raw love
2. I think we all want someone who can see us in such an incredible way
3. But beyond the beautiful love story. Wolf showed Avery how to accept herself and love herself and see herself as valuable I feel like with social media and how the world is. It’s just so easy to get swept up in life that we forget to actually live and not just survive. And sometimes that means booking the trip going out to a restaurant by yourself going to a new club just something that reminds you. We’re actually here to live life and enjoy it and not just exist pay taxes and die. As a freshly 30 year-old, I feel like it’s a good reminder that I’m supposed to be living my life for me that maybe being a crabby is not always the answer and to allow yourself to be more open to different experiences. I really feel like it just reminded me personally to live life and not let life kick my ass. I always say I’m here for a good time not a long time. But this book made me want to start living my life actually like that.

Rachel Lynn will make you feel every single living emotion while reading Between Heart and Stone! This was such a beautiful love story filled with grief, loss, hope, friendship, and love.
At some point in our lives, we’ve all felt alone, lost, or like we were trying to find our way back to ourselves. This story takes those feelings and beautifully transforms them into connections, lifelong friendships, and a love that proves it can conquer even death. ❤️
There were moments that broke my heart, moments that made me smile, and moments that had me sitting there just feeling everything. It’s emotional, beautiful, and unforgettable.
And the EASTER EGGS!!! 👀🤌🏻
Absolutely CHEF’S KISS! I loved catching them throughout the story, and they made the whole reading experience even more special.
If you’re looking for a story that will make you feel deeply, love fiercely, and maybe shed a few tears along the way, Between Heart and Stone needs to be on your TBR! ❤️‍🔥📖 10/31/2026!!!! HALLOWEEN!!

Thank you Rachel for another infinite star read! You hit it out of the park EVERY. SINGLE. TIME.

Be ready to feel all the emotions with this one! Rachel will have you falling in love. Then shatter your heart. Only to piece it back together and leave you wanting, needing more!

*have your tissues nearby*

The FMC, Avery Eden, who is a writer, takes a much needed trip to Ireland to get away from the hustle of NYC. People always go to NYC to find themselves, but that is where Avery lost herself.

She finds herself at Kilmorran Castle. Alone for 2 months... or is she?

The MMC, Royan Wolfe, a former Lord of Kilmorran Castle, has been stuck between the castle and passing on for 200 years.

Together the navigate how to bring Avery back to life. All while helping Wolfe move onto the next. Only for their souls to become bound to one another.

Between Heart and Stone is an absolutely beautiful story! One that I am so thankful to have read and will reread again and again!

Wow.
I wasn't sure how I would like this one going in because I heard paranormal romance and honestly didn't know what to expect...
But in true Rachel Lynn fashion, what a beautiful and heart wrenching story.
Not only was this a beautiful story of love, but it was also such a hopeful story of overcoming loneliness, anxiety, depression, feeling inadequate... Avery overcame so much in this story and it made me an emotional shit storm... But in a good way.
When an author can write something that makes you feel... that is such a great talent. I laughed, cried, screamed, stared at the wall to compose myself, all because of words on paper.
Rachel Lynn will make you feel a little bit of everything with her writing and I will absolutely recommend this to anyone. Even if you're not sure about paranormal romance, just trust me when I say, you will want to pick this one up.
Five stars for this amazing journey with Avery and Wolfe.
My heart is so full.

Rachel Lynn really took the saying “Tis better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all “ and turned it into a DEVASTATING paranormal romance where the love interest is a sexy Irish centuries old ghost. This book is moody, set in a coastal town in Ireland. It’s emotional and tender, the love and devotion they have for each other is so special. She explores themes of grief and self love, in a way that makes me want to live my own life to the fullest and not take even a moment for granted with my loved ones. Time is fleeting, after all. BRB having an existential crisis now.

PS: despite all that was said by me in this review, there is an HEA in this book I swear.

PPS: Thanks Rachel, you’ll be hearing from my therapist.

It has been 2 days since I finished BHS and I have yet to stop thinking about it. This book altered my brain chemistry. While the romance is top tier, the spice is perfection, the setting is next level, what stuck with me the most is the message of not forgetting to LIVE. Do the damn thing. Wolfe and Avery reminded me the only thing you will regret is not living life how you want it to be. Fair warning, I CRIED, full ugly cried. But I loved every second of this book. There is YEARNING. I don't think I have ever read a man more desperate for his woman than Wolfe and Avery is just as down bad. Ireland? Ghosts? Yearning? Spice? This book has it all!! #obsessed

I am an ARC reader for Between Heart and Stone. It is an excellent romantic ghost story. This story is about what it takes to really live life. The main characters are almost ghosts even while they live. The FMC is a successful author but feels as though she has nothing more to write because she is scared to write with her own feelings. The MMC is the ghost of an Irish Lord who died two hundred years ago. He dedicated himself to his people while he lived but never really engaged in his own life. They fall in love but can't be together because he is a ghost. They teach each other how to live but a real relationship seems impossible.

I received this book as an ARC from the author.

This is a story of love, thick with atmosphere of foggy Ireland, stony castles and ancient ghosts.

I deeply enjoyed the feeling the author created of this setting. The could feel the cold stone walls of the castle, the salty spray of the waves from the cliffs. She has a way with words that really set you IN the story with the characters.

I would recommend this as an excellent fall read, enough spooky vibes to feel very seasonal and enough heart to make you feel a range of emotions!

(ARC Review -- thank you to the author!)

This is my third book of Rachel Lynn's and let me tell you... the way this woman writes yearning!!! This is a little outside my usual genre, but she's quickly becoming an auto-buy author for me so I signed up for an ARC anyway. I'm torn about how the book ended. If you're at all a fan of paranormal romance, please do pick this one up.

Another banger by Rachel Lynn! This one is RAW. Rachel took inner emotional turmoil and turned the notch up to 100 lol both these main characters are going through it, but the relationship that grows between them is just so wholesome and natural. I spent the whole book rooting for them, even though Wolfe is literally dead.... Even the side characters had me in a chokehold with how caring and intuitive everyone was. I need a Tommy and Moira in my life!

6 stars. Truly.

Rachel has done it again. Most times, I finish a book. Other times, the book finishes me. That is EXACTLY what happened here. If you love castles, Ireland, impeccable yearning, paranormal romances, and that moment when Casper says "can I keep you?", you will love this book. It is raw, emotional, full of humor and witty while it tears your heart to pieces and puts it back together. My face hurts and I have a headache from crying but it was so worth it.

Trying to write a review that does any justice to how Rachel makes me feel reading her books is so difficult because I'm not the one who does so well with words lol. This book brought out so many emotions in me. I felt everything I laughed I cried . This book is all about hope and oh how I wish the ideas in this book could come to life... what I wouldn't give. This is a beautiful love story 1000/10 recommend!

This book was breathtakingly beautiful. The yearning! I think I sobbed the last 1/4 of the book. The characters were beautiful and relatable. The mental heath representation was wonderful. I honestly wish I could read it again for the first time. I normally read dark romance, but this was a wonderful change of pace for me with a plot that still had me hooked at the beginning. Take a chance on this one, even if this isn't your normal genre. You won't regret it!

To absolutely no one’s surprise, Rachel makes me cry again 🫣. I need a few days to sit on this and really feel all of the feelings it brought up before I write a true review, but I needed to at least leave this. Love you, Rachel, even when you make me cry 🤪
