"Ella Simpson had never grown up in a town like Knight’s Way—if there was such a place. Oh, no. She’d grown up on the wrong side of the tracks in Raleigh, with her aunt taking care of her. Well, when she wasn’t strung out or too drunk to remember she had a niece.
However, none of that matter now.
Besides, if she could survive growing up in hell, she could survive ten days in paradise."

Finally! ♥ I seriously couldn't wait to read this book!I loved Blake and Ella in Seducing the Billionaire's Wife and I was so happy when I found out that they're getting a book.First of all,I have to say how much I love Marquita Valentine's writing. This is a short story but, man,it was long enough to give me all the feels in this world.I'm not going to say anything more except that the characters are amazing and the story is captivating, just as I expected. If you loved Seducing the Billionaire's Wife, than you'll most definitely love this book!

Seducing The Billionaire's Secretary is quick, sweet and cute read about being in love with someone then finally seizing the opportunity to claim the person. Blake York has been in love with his business partner's secretary, Ella York for four years but the only problem was that Ella has been secretly in love with Blake's business partner, Andrew Montgomery. Ella knows that Andrew is engaged and is in love with his fiancee, Hannah and so she keeps her feelings hidden but that all changes when Blake comes across Ella's unsent personal emails where she profess her love for Andrew. As a result, Ella tries to avoid Blake since it was humiliating enough that he knows her feelings for Andrew. So when Ella is made a bridesmaid for Andrew's wedding, she didn't expect Blake to blackmail her with the emails. Seizing his only chance to get Ella, Blake blackmails her into having eight dates with him. What Ella didn't expect was that she was falling head over heels for Blake. So will Ella realize that Blake is the one who truly knew and loved her?

#SeducingTheBillionaireSecretary

If you are looking for sweet, cute, and charming story of a man who never stopped loving a woman from afar and finally got his shot at love then this book is for you. Blake York was your sweet British hero who finally got the chance to make the girl of his dreams see that her HEA was standing in front of her all along and all she needed was just a little "push" or in this case a blackmail of dates to get the ball rolling.

First I thought it would be a great short romantic read but the more I read of how the h was pinning for another guy all the time and her constant thoughts of him, I was done. I felt really sorry for H to had to fall for someone that clearly doesn't deserve him!

This was a short and sweet story rife with unrequited love, misunderstandings, and a happily ever after that was well deserved. I wish the story was a bit longer so that a bit more subtance about Ella and Blake's background could have been provided, because their family histories were only glossed over. Knowing more about their dysfunctional backgrounds would have provided a deeper connection between them and for me as a reader. That said, that's just my opinion, AND the story was otherwise enjoyable.

Ella is a secretary/personal assistant for Andrew. Ella has had a crush on him forever and has never had the courage to act on that crush. Ella runs into some computer issues that she has to get help with. When Blake comes to help Ella with her computer, Ella dreads him being around. Ella knows that Blake is always trying to get her to go out with him. Ella is not interested though because she only has eyes for her boss, Montgomery. Blake uncovers some incriminating evidence Ella has kept on her computer. Blake uses that to his advantage.

Skip to three years later, Andrew jumps up and all the sudden gets married to a young lady and shatters all of Ella's dreams. Blake knows that this is his opportunity to make a move on Ella. When Blake and Ella go to the resort for the wedding, Blake tricks Ella into having 8 dates with him. Blake wants to prove to Ella that they are right for each other. When they sleep together, Ella at first thinks that she is doing the right thing. Then Ella begins to have doubts and pushes Blake away again. Blake develops a new hate for Andrew thinking that she can't get over him and be with her. Little does she know that Ella is having some personal conflicts and trying to work through them all. Blake finally pretty much gives up and leaves right after Andrew's wedding. At almost the same time, Ella has a revelation that Blake is the one for her, she sees that now, thanks to Hannah, Andrew's new wife. Needless to say, Ella and Blake get their HEA and this was such a great story for them!!

Marquita did a very good job with this one in making it a great story line as well as mixing lots of romance and personal struggles in with it. I really enjoyed this short read!!

If you like sweet romances with a feisty heroin and a determined Billionaire, then this is the book for you.

Ella Simpson is a small town girl whose childhood had not been the greatest. It made her feisty and sassy, but she survived and pressed to make a life on her own. Her job at Montgomery Industry, which she loves, provides her with the much needed security in her professional life needs. More security than she can hope for. Her personal life is a different story.

Ella's one problem (okay, make that two problems) is that she is in love with her boss, Andrew Montgomery. This would not be an "off-limits" situation, except that Andrew has no clue about Ella's feelings, and he's getting married, and not to Ella.

Then there's the British Billionaire, Blake York, Andrew's business partner/best man, who would do anything to get Ella to notice him for just one second. And now the icing on the wedding cake (pun so intended) is that Ella has been recruited to be a bridesmaid in Andrew's destination nuptials. Ella's determined to make the best of it all, no matter what, but is she feisty enough to get through it?

This was my introduction into the book world of Marquita Valentine. And I have to say that I enjoyed reading Seducing the Billionaire's Secretary. This was the perfect book to read, curled up on a stormy afternoon. I look forward to reading more from Marquita Valentine.

All right, if you guys had read Seducing The Billionaire's Wife you would remember Ella how in love she was with Drew, and heart-broken when she found out he was married. It was a little rough for her. Anyway, we come to find out that Blake has been secretly in love with Ella, but she was too blind to see what was in front of her. So, Blake uses the second wedding as an opportunity to get Ella to see him than a bane in existence and someone she could count on. Poor guy he had to weasel in eight dates.

I have to say that Blake was adorable trying to show Ella he's a decent guy. After all, Blake has kept Ella's secret for about three years. Truthfully, I wasn't sure I was going to like Ella, I mean she had a crush on Drew and I was a little worry she was going to cause a problem for Hannah. Granted I knew that Hannah and Drew had a happy ending. Still, it's a worry. Anyway, I actually like Blake and Ella they are just fun. Boy do they have some fun.

So, if you are looking for a quick read with few hot scenes and hopeful Brit, Seducing The Billionaire's Secretary is right up your alley.

Ella Sampson started out as a receptionist for Montgomery Industry, working herself up the ladder to Executive Assistant to Andrew (Drew) Montgomery the CEO. All this time falling hopelessly in love. It is hopeless, as Drew sees her as his saving grace in all things business, but that's all. So she buries her feelings in unsent emails so he'll never know.

Blake York is a computer wiz hired as a partner. He's from the U.K, a billionaire himself, and fascinated by Ella. He has made several attempts to get to know her, but she remains indifferent. When Ella's computer crashes, Blake is there to help. In the process he comes across her secret emails to Drew. She is mortified and furious. He assures her he will never divulge them, but what little relationship they had is ruined. They hardly speak for three years. Ella suddenly finds herself, going to Drew's destination wedding, which is bad enough, but she's a Brides Maid! Heartbroken and frustrated, she is on this gorgeous tropical island, trying to sort out her feelings. But, since Blake is part of the wedding party he is going to do his best to convince Ella to let go, and be his. Even if it takes blackmail!

This is a quick sweet romance with some sizzle. I found myself rooting for Blake from the beginning. Another enjoyable Billionaire story.

I received this ARC from the publisher for an honest review.

I'm in love with Blake

I liked Blake York in Seducing The Billionaire's Wife, but I fell in love with him in Seducing The Billionaire's Secretary.

Blake fell in love with Ella, Andrew Montgomery's secretary, the moment he met her. The problem is that Ella is secretly in love with Drew, her boss who follows a strict no dating at work policy. When Blake finds out her secret, Ella is embarrassed and scared that Blake will out her to Drew. She doesn't have a clue of his feelings for her.

For three years, Blake has watched Ella pine after Drew, who is now marrying his childhood sweetheart, Hannah. Blake and Ella are both serving in Drew and Hannah's destination wedding, and Blake sees this as his chance to finally convince Ella to give him a shot. He winds up blackmailing her into a few dates just to get her to spend time with him, which gives Ella the wrong impression about his intentions. As they spend time together, Ella begins to see that Blake is not at all the guy she thought him to be.

I would also like to add that although there were problems with downloading the correct book, Ms. Valentine and Amazon were superstars with getting the problem resolved quickly. It was worth waiting for the corrected copy. I truly enjoyed it.

This is the second book in Marquita Valentine's Seducing the Billionaire series.
Ella has loved Drew for years, but Drew is her boss and he has a strict rule not to date people that he works with. She has had to keep her feelings hidden for so long that she almost misses out on a chance at happiness with a man that has loved her from almost the moment he met her.
Blake has watched Ella moon over his friend and coworker for years all along keeping his feelings of love from her. When Drew finally marries Hannah and there is absolutely no way that he will ever return Ella's feelings Blake moves in and sweeps her off of her feet, but he thinks he has moved too fast and that Ella doesn't see just how much he has come to care for her.
Ella realizes that she will lose Blake if she doesn't go after him so she throws caution to the wind and goes to get her man.
I'm definitely looking forward to reading more books in this series.

I was given and ARC for an honest review. All conclusions are mine and mine alone.

Seducing the Billionaire's Secretary by Marquita Valentine is a great addition to this new series. It can be read as a stand alone as it is an entire story on its own.

Ella Simpson has worked her way up to being Andrew Montgomery's
personal assistant. She not only loves her job, but has fallen in love with her boss. It has been completely one sided on her part and she has never let her feelings for him be known, but it takes her by surprise when he marries his childhood friend.

Ever since Blake York has started working for Montgomery Industry, he has only had eyes on one woman. His interest is held by none other than Ella Simpson, his business partner's secretary. He is determined to make her his, but will the timing ever be right?

This story is filled with great connections and chemistry. I enjoyed the quick wit and banter between Ella and Blake. I look forward to reading more from this series!

This is the third book I have read by this author and while I think this book is good, it was not as good as the others I have read. This was about Ella and Blake. If you have read Seducing the Billionaire's Wife, you will recognize Ella as Drew's assistant that was in love with him and was devastated when she found out he was married and not just married but very in love with his new bride. Blake was in the first book as well as another secondary character and honestly I fell in love with him and was really looking forward to reading his book. Again, there isn't anything wrong with this one, it just fell a little short for me compared to the others I have read. It is a very sweet romance and a very quick read. A copy was gifted in exchange for an honest review. I give this one 3.5 stars.

The only down side to this book was that it had to end as I truly enjoyed the world Blake and Ella are in. If you read the first installment in this series you had the chance to meet Blake and Ella but even if you didn't you get s little background on them in the first chapter. The air between them sizzles from the the beginning. Try as she may to fight it Ella realizes she has placed her feeling on the wrong man when the right one was always there.
I really enjoyed this read and Blake is a little different that the everyday hero in books that I am used to.
I would highly recommend this book as a must read.

AMY E'S REVIEW
4 STARS

I've been dying for Ella and Blake's story since meeting them in the first book. They are both such intriguing characters, coming from completely different backgrounds and yet still living out similar childhoods.

Blake was a stand up guy in a world of spoiled corporate millionaires. Ella is a sweet girl that just wants a family and to be loved. Their sometimes volatile, highly passionate, and occasionally friendly relationship takes a sexy turn on a beach vacation.

The story is short and sweet. Packing years of history in a few chapters. It was an engaging story that kept my attention from start to finish.

I really enjoyed reading Hannah and Drew’s story in Seducing the Billionaire’s Wife, so I knew I would enjoy reading Ella and Blake’s. This story was a quick read, but didn’t leave anything out! I love that Ms. Valentine can engage me from page one to the very end!

Blake was such a sweet heart, not the guy I thought he was in the first book and that surprise was great. It took a little more time to like Ella since I liked Hannah and Drew’s relationship and didn’t like that Ella had feels for him. I am very glad all worked out in the end. I also enjoyed seeing both Drew and Hannah in this story.

I can not wait for the next book in this series (I really hope there is one).

Once I reached the end I did want more and craved more but for as short of a story this has been the amount of details really is shocking that it wasn't more written, I'm speechless with how it turned out. Trust me when I say it's worth the read and of course your going to want more from this author rather it be this series or another; she's so worth the read over and over again. Passion, love and sex in this story was breath taking and magic rolled into one great story.

The love/hate relationship between Blake and Ella is electrifying! Ella has had a deep infatuation with Drew, from Seducing a Billionaire's Wife and her boss, while Blake has held a secret crush on her. The banter back and forth is charged and thrilling as Ella tries to get Blake to go away all the while Blake is trying to romance her. While on an extended trip, preparing for the fancy nuptials of Hannah and Drew, a simple competition between Blake and Ella turned out better than they thought. This series is a quick read, romantic and sexy.

Blake likes to make sure his woman get what she asks for, "he froze, holding himself suspended above her. “Ella,” he said, dipping his head. “Last night , I think you wanted something more from me. This morning, I’m fully prepared to give it to you.” Blake his willing to accommodate his woman, “if I had another condom, I’d eff you right now,” he said, lifting his head briefly. “But since I don’t...” His teeth scraped against her skin and his slowly slide three fingers inside of her." I really loved this book, I'm falling in love with this series more and more with each book.

There is something that so romantic and sweet about a love that can develop and survive despite all the odds. Blake and Ella's relationship came across that way. The heart is a tricky organ, not always following the course one wants. Both Ella and Blake experienced that first hand. Unrequited love led them on a journey of ups, downs, sacrifices and surprises. I received an ARC of Seducing the Billionaire's Secretary in exchange for an honest review. Revisiting old friends and making new ones along the way proved to be a rewarding experience.

This book was a quick enjoyable read. I loved the chemistry and witty banter between Blake and Ella. It's a sweet story and perfect for a quick afternoon reading fix. I was rooting for Blake from the start he is such a total sweetie and so hot! I was desperately wanting for Ella to see what has been right under her nose all along while she was wasting her time on an unrequited love. Find out what happens and give this book a read. Second book in this series and just as sweet, sexy and unashamedly romantic!

Blake’s been in love with Ella for years. Ella’s been in love with her boss for years.

When Blake discovers Ella’s secret folder of unsent emails to her boss, it changes Ella’s behaviour towards Blake, who puts up with her hostility and coldness for three years, before deciding to do something about it.

There is no doubt that they have chemistry and once Blake breaches her barriers, Ella starts to question her true feelings and who her heart really belongs to.

Great, feel good novel!

I really wanted to like this book, but the story definitely fell flat. I don't feel like we were shown the characters falling in love but were more so told that they did. Even though the book was 10 chapters it felt really rushed through the entire story and I feel like the author could've done so much more with this than what she did. Unfortunately I was disappointed with this book especially since the first one was so much better.

Good book

Alost missed this one. It was in my library and reading about it sounded familiar, but I started reading it anyway to refresh my memory. Glad I did, because while it might resemble other romances, I had not read Blake and Ella's story before. I would have been very unhappy to miss it. Now I need to check the series and make sure I haven't missed any others. Something those of us with large libraries ought to do more often, I guess.

Ella is Adam's secretary and she's in love with him, unfortunately he is marrying someone else. Blake has a crush on Ella, but she won't look his way. At Adam's wedding party they get together. Too short for anything to really play out or to fully develop characters. Blake was nice and not a jerk, he waited for Ella to get over her crush. They get together, have sex, get married and story over.

A great little novella. This is a story of unrequited love & what happens when a man finally decides he is tired of waiting for the woman of his dreams to notice him. And what that woman does we she realizes that maybe she doesn't really want the man she thought she wanted, maybe the man of her dreams has been right in front of her all along.

Short but oh so sweet & just enough heat!!!

Poor writing, little to no character development, unlikable heroine, no depth of story...these are all reasons why I can only give this novel 2 stars. The only thing I liked was that the hero was so in love with the heroine he waited for her for 4 years. That was sweet. However the ending was an OTT cheese fest. This one just didn't work for me.

I expected a longer read. I expected more detail. I expected more you can say. I'm sad this was so short. I'm sad this wasn't like book one where he really fought for her and show his love. I felt like this book was so fast forward and missing a lot of parts and detail. Great characters don't get me more but it wasn't written to a point to bring them out.
