A Basic Look

It’s tough to cover such a large and important tradition in a short book - let alone an anthology. The book has a few pieces on the actual initiation and some history that are exceptional, while some others - like the Eleusinian card game feels out of place. It’s readable, but leaves you wanting and feels disjointed as you read.

REBIRTH OF TRUTH AND INNER VISION

The knowledge in this book provides a sliver of light in our darkened world. If mankind learns anything about Eleusis and its mysteries, we profit. Many ideas from mixed sources are presented along with photos of Eleusis today and artwork. Anyone interested in Hellenismos should definitely read this book.

Of special interest in this issue is "The Message of the Eleusinian Mysteries for Today's World" by the famous Albert Hofmann, Ph.D. who first synthesized LSD. A fantastic article!
