This is the 7th book in the Wayfinders Series. There are 8 books, each written by a different author, following a road trip romance each.

This is a fade to black sports romance where we follow Aspen and Fisher. Fisher is the star wide receiver for The Kings in the NFL and Aspen is the team's new physical therapist. Aspen's first task is to help Fisher recover from his hamstring tear. Little did they both know that a one-night stand would turn into them working together.
Aspen is determined to show everyone she got the job because she is good at it and not making the same mistakes as in the past. All Fisher wants is to get back on the field and not be forced to retire early.

This is a cute workplace romance with chemistry and secrets to be uncovered. Fisher falls first. He is a golden retriever MMC and will do anything for the people he loves. Aspen is such an amazing person and addition to the team but her fear of being publicly rejected and judged is keeping her back. She just needs someone to love her the way she is and Fisher is that guy.

This is a quick and easy read. The writing is easy to follow and the atmosphere is amazing. I love the sports aspect of the story, them working together, the flights, bus trips and sharing hotel rooms. The trip home added the motivation they both needed but I wished the mystery with Fisher’s brother was not so open ended. There is no third act break up but lots of loss ends. I am hoping it will be cleared up in a future book. It would also be amazing to get a book following Rae and Bodie.

I am looking forward to reading more of the book in this series.

What starts as a surprise one-night stand quickly turns complicated when Aspen walks into her new job as the team physical therapist, only to discover her one-night encounter is the team’s star wide receiver currently stuck on the injured list. Her sole professional mission is to get him back on the field. I loved the undeniable chemistry they have alongside how deeply they respect each other's professional boundaries.

Instead of a standard sports plot, this takes a brilliant detour with a road trip to find Fisher's brother, while a mysterious gossip columnist stirs up ongoing drama about Aspen and Fisher throughout the story. It has such a fantastic balance of lighthearted humor, awkward situations, and real emotional depth. I really appreciated how it touches on heavier themes like players aging out or facing career-threatening injuries. The team and staff fully embrace Aspen, and the players act like protective big brothers. Great banter, mature relationship building, and a wonderfully satisfying page-turner!

Recommended for:
Readers who love workplace sports romances with mature relationship dynamics, found-family team support, and a good balance of humor, drama, and fade-to-black heat.

Now, Fisher is determined to get Aspen’s attention once again.

Thoughts:
• I loved the travel aspect of this book. The flights and road trips were such a fun twist and added something different to the story.
• The chemistry between Aspen and Fisher is intense, and I loved how these two reconnect after their one-night stand. This is always such a fun trope!
• The NFL team members were so much fun! They added so much to the overall story and brought some great moments to the book.
• The road trip to find Fisher’s brother was fun, but it also added a lot of extra drama. Banks was a very frustrating character. Just when I thought things were going to go smoothly for Fisher, Banks had to go and toss in even more drama for the family.
• I love how Aspen really works hard for what she wants and doesn’t let anything stop her, especially given some of the situations she’s experienced. She just keeps going. I also loved her support system!
• Overall, this was a sweet, fade-to-black sports romance. If you like these components in a romance, this book is for you!

I really enjoyed Ridin’ the Line! This was such a cute sports romance and Aspen and Fisher were incredibly easy to root for.

Aspen was adorable. I really liked how hard she worked to prove herself and build her own reputation rather than simply being seen as someone’s niece. She cared about her career and wanted to earn her place with the team, which made her really likeable.

And Fisher was just ADORABLE. I loved him, but I also loved his friends and the team dynamic around him. They added so much personality and gave the book that found-family feeling I always enjoy in a sports romance.

Their meet-cute was very Grey’s Anatomy coded and obviously I ate that up 😂 The one-night stand turning into surprise, I’m now your physical therapist was such a fun setup, and I loved watching their relationship develop once they realised they were going to be stuck around each other.

I also enjoyed the road trip element. It wasn’t really the main storyline like I expected it might be, but I actually liked that. It gave Aspen the opportunity to meet Fisher’s family and added another layer to their relationship without taking over the sports-romance plot.

Overall, this was a really sweet, easy-to-read sports romance with a lovable MMC, a hardworking FMC, great team dynamics and just enough drama to keep things moving.

Fisher is out again for the same injury. Thankfully the team has hired a new physical therapist. Unthankfully, or maybe thankfully it is his one night stand, who left him before he woke up. Aspen, didn't know who Fisher was, and now that she does, she does not want to get involved, even if he does. Thrown together over and over again, due to his injury, it was so hard for her to keep the wall up between them. Also her uncle works for the team (luckily he's on their side). But her fear of the past repeating is something she has to work through. Can she get past it?

Fisher had a lot of golden retriever energy and defiantly falls first. Aspen is more hesitant due to her dating history (she's been in a position like this before and it did not work out well). I loved that they kept getting thrown together, almost like the team was rooting for them as well, since she had to sit beside him on the plane, they had connecting rooms. His teammates were awesome as well, very supportive, even when talking smack. The only thing I was a little unsatisfied with was the side storyline with Fisher's brother, Banks. It was a good addition to the story, but it was not wrapped up in this book so hopefully his sister with get her own story (brother's best friend trope I hope) where it will be wrapped up.

This book was the perfect book to read at the beginning of football season! The story focuses on WR Fisher, who has a torn hamstring at the start of the book. The team he plays for, The Kings, f1res the PT for 1nc0mpetance and soon hires Aspen, the niece of the GM.

However, before Aspen starts her job, she and her friend go out to celebrate, and she indulges in an encounter with Fisher...no names exchanged. Imagine their surprise to see each other at work!!! Aspen wants to forget about the encounter as she doesn't want to be the subject of locker room (and magazine) g0ss1p, but Fisher wants to shout to the rafters about them. He respects her enough not to do that, of course.

The two work closely together on Fisher's reh@b and it isn't long before neither of them can deny their attraction. Aspen's trust issues play a key role in their relationship, and we soon learn why!

Fisher's brother causes more drama than Fisher's 1njury or his relationship with Aspen. He is the reason that Fisher and Aspen go on a road trip back to Fisher's home town. Will the road trip end the relationship?

Such a cute story and I could not put this down!

Thoroughly enjoyed this one! 🥰 A sweet(ish) sports romance with just the right mix of romance, a bit of mystery, and a little drama.

Fisher and Aspen start with a one-night stand and then have to figure out how to navigate a healthy working relationship when she becomes his physical therapist.
I really liked their dynamic and the way they respected each other professionally while dealing with the obvious chemistry between them.

Then you throw in a road trip to find Fisher’s brother, a mysterious gossip writer causing problems, and a few twists along the way, and it made for a really enjoyable read.

I especially liked that the author didn't rely on unnecessary relationship drama. Fisher and Aspen felt like two adults trying to figure things out while dealing with some pretty complicated circumstances. Lighthearted at times while still dealing with an awkward and occasionally difficult situation.

A fun, slightly sweet sports romance with a little suspense, great chemistry, and a great HEA.

MC's (Fisher and Aspen) had amazing chemistry from the very the start, and I reallyliked their one-night stand turning into something neither of them expected.

Fisher’s struggle with his injury and the possibility of having to give up the career he loves added an emotional layer that made me really invested in his journey. I also loved Aspen as a strong, no-nonsense female physical therapist who wasn’t afraid to push Fisher and definitely didn’t let him get away with anything. Their dynamic was full of banter, tension, and plenty of sparks.

I especially enjoyed the forced proximity and workplace romance elements, along with the way both characters had to confront their pasts and learn to trust each other. There was a good balance of romance, sports, drama, and emotion that kept me turning the pages.

Overall, a great addition to the Wayfinder series with a couple that was easy to root for. Fisher and Aspen definitely made this one a winner for me!

It's nice to go back to the Cypress Creek universe again.

I wasn't quite sure about Fisher in the beginning because he appeared to me more like a cocky player but he's a nice guy and he grew on me. I liked Aspen from the start. She seemed wild at first glance but we quickly discover that she struggles with trust and exposing herself.

It really started great. I enjoyed the story and all the characters until it was pretty much about a dramatic family situation. This part was too long for me. The Wayfinders series is about road trip but the one in this book occupies a minimal place compared to other books. I was fine with it because I enjoyed the sports romance and the aspect of a woman lead wanting to make her place in a man's world but it kind of shifted with the drama around the two-third mark. It eventually goes back to the relationship between Aspen and Fisher and the game.

Overall, I appreciated the read. I would have liked a little less focus on the drama but still happy with the story.

This is the seventh book in the Wayfinder Series. I was provided an advanced reader copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
This book follows NFL star Fisher and the team’s new physical therapist, Aspen.
They meet shortly before Aspen begins her new job with Fisher’s team, before they know they will be working together. They are quickly placed together as Fisher is hurt and Aspen’s job is to return the star wide receiver back to play. Both are dealing with past hurts, although Fisher falls first and is patient. The road trip trope is these two making a trip to Fisher’s hometown to search for his brother, who is using and involved in heavy gambling. It may sound out of place in my summary, but it worked.

What worked:
-Supportive side characters
-Interesting story
-Patience in healing/moving forward
-Some justice with the two’s exes

What didn’t work:
I don’t love the one-night-stand, meet soon after trope - but that’s me.

Content for those who need to know: 1/5 for spice. There is some teasing innuendo, but the book is fade-to-black.

A story full of chemistry, slow burn and difficult pasts.
Fisher and Aspen started as a one night stand, never to be repeated, until fate throws them together. Aspen is the new PT assigned to help Fisher heal from injury and they find their connection undeniable.

Their slow burn is not without it's challenges, he has a difficult brother to care for and she is fighting for her place on the team whilst working through the pain of a past ex. Communication is not always their strong point, which makes their journey more difficult.

I loved the team dynamic, their hilarious banter and the way they look out for each other. I loved the road trip, it was so much fun experiencing the stops and experiences along the way. I also enjoyed how their love wasn't simple, they had a lot of hurdles along the way. He is a total golden retriever and would do anything for her. I also loved that she didn't need rescuing, but is intelligent, capable and a force in her own right.

However I did struggle with the brother storyline, that didn't go anywhere in the end.

Another fun road trip for the Wayfinder Series! Aspen and Fisher had a fun connection that made me like them from the very start. This is a steamy fade-to-black, but there is plenty of heart, too.

From a one night stand to physical therapist/patient, these two were never going to be able to hide their connection. Aspen sets her mind on focusing on Fisher's healing to get him back on the field, but her heart didn't quite get the message. She's confident in her career and I ate up every time she'd make that clear.

Fisher is struggling with the position his injury has put him in, but I did love how clear it was that he loves his teammates and his own career, too. He wasn't ready to give it up yet.

This situation gave ample room for plenty of banter that made me laugh out loud several times and I felt their connection continue to go stronger, despite the professional boundaries and drama they had to face.

Fisher Clarke an NFL player for the Cypress Creek Kings who currently has a hamstring tear and needs help getting back on the field.

Aspen Whitlock is the new physical therapist for the Cypress Creek Kings and her uncle is the general manager for the team. Between a past relationship with another football player and her connection to the general manager, she is worried about the team’s opinion of her.

One night stand leads to an interesting first day for Aspen. I enjoyed how Aspen began to trust again in love as she got to know Fisher and even trusting herself more. Both of their pasts have to be dealt with head on for them to let each other in.

Forced proximity always makes for an interesting storyline. This is a sweet, fade-to-black sports romance. Although this didn’t feel like the traditional sports romance with the road trip to find his brother and the interactions with his mom and sister.

What a fun story! I loved the sports aspect, combined with the physical therapist aspect.

Aspen made a name for herself and didn't take any crap which I liked about her character.

Fisher loved playing football, and his teammates. I enjoyed the banter he and Aspen had as well as Fisher taking into consideration what Aspen thought and didn't push her to make him be ready right away to get back to the game.

The drama with Fisher's brother was an extra add on, that didn't take away from the story, added a road trip sidequest in, but also didn't give many answers.

Overall a good story. If you like road trips, banter, one night stands, and sports, check it out

Fisher is a pro football player who is out on injury. He goes out to the bar with some friends and ends up hooking up with a beautiful woman….. only to find out she’s his new physical therapist!

I loved this! Fisher and Aspen had great chemistry. The banter/flirting was funny. I loved that the conflict wasn’t the normal people against them being together. I also loved that he didn’t push and he waited to match her pace. Fisher was so understanding. He was down bad for Aspen and I loved every minute of it!

This was a really sweet story. I liked that we got to go back to the Cypress Creek Kings football team. Fischer definitely seemed like a playboy at first but he grew on me quickly and ended up being a really great MMC. Aspen has some baggage and tends to not open up to people, but Fischer helps her find herself again and open up to him.
The road trip was great, I loved the aspect of them listening to romance books together and getting their favorite snacks.
Overall, this was a great addition to the Wayfinder Series.

I love the chemistry between Fisher and Aspen! She has great reason to fight her feelings, but he's as determined to win her heart as he is to win his football games.

I also love the betting going on in the locker room (emphasis on the locker room - iykyk, and if you don't, read the book).

Ridin the line is a fade into black romance. Poor Fisher can’t a break with his hamstring injury and luckily for him Aspen comes along to help him. His poem made me giggle, her meeting the other places also made me have a laugh. Their chemistry is off the charts and they are cute. I wanted them and I would happily read this story again.
