Nicki's moving her family back from Europe. She doesn't know the mob's brought in a mysterious Italian mercenary to track her down. Sindy's convinced Sin to go on a road trip. She doesn't realize where Sin goes, bullets follow.

The third book in the Sin and Nicki series is a neo-Western shootout that'll keep you on the edge of your seat. It's also a haunting tale about two broken people who create a twister of violence, love and regret everywhere they go.

I write all sorts of thrillers - police procedurals, occult horror and absurdist noir. Where to start?

If you're into tricky mysteries without too much violence, give the Owl and Raccoon detective series a try. If you'd prefer to dive into something darker, try Sever and Camille. These two books together tell a nostalgic story full of witchcraft and serial killers. Mary Monster is my most challenging book, a stylized, literary take on gothic noir.

I am such a big fan of crime thriller. I am so interested with mobsters and their life and all. It was interesting for me. I have read a lot and the books from this genre probably is half of it. I am so deeply in love with this kind of book. Seeing the title and the book cover just made me knew how good the book is going to be. It was amazing. Lets talk about the plot. The beginning of the book. I already like it. It was nothing interesting or really amazing but for me, it is a constant and a strong beginning. However, I like it when Sin is cleaning his guns. The author described the cleaning guns scene very casually and full with details. It was good. The uprising of the book is unnoticeable. I mean like I dont even know where is the uprising part is but that is just fine. I am so blinded by the strong story line. The climax of the book is so good. I have been expecting for the climax for so long but I am totally not bored with the story because the strong story line. I think the sentences and how the author wrote the book made me love it even now when I think about it, the book is actually just average compared to other book that I have read. But I just like it. The ending of the book, well everything ended nicely. It wrapped up beautifully. The book started with Sin and Nicki when they are still together so we know from that, Sin and Nicki is the main characters of this book. Sin, my first impression of him is he is going to be another Sin that I knew from other crime thriller book. He is supposed to be hard and a good shooter and amazing Don (a mobster leader). That is my expectation right after the prologue because he is cleaning his guns. And he is actually, cold. He had a girlfriend, Sindy and she loves him just fine but he is seriously so cold. He loves her too but he doesnt really show it. What I like the most about him is, he carries his gun to anywhere. Gosh, isnt that hot?! Nicki, she is his big sister. Married with two kids. I love her for being supportive of her little brother. Both of them are so compatible with each other and I like it because that is how siblings should be. Mathieu, I kind of expect him to outshine Sin but Sin is the main cast in this story. Cant kill the hero, right? I am impressed with Mathieus skills and how he described Sin to himself; this man was born to kill. And thats it. The story line is strong and consistent and kind of simple but packed with action. So 5 stars it is.

I think I just read this after reading a bunch of books of a different type. It was ok but for some reason I couldn't get into. Probably my issue.
