Billionaire Bait

Rate this book
17-year-old Savannah Rowan never thought she’d find herself in the arms of the handsome young billionaire Harrison Belmont…the two of them alone…trapped in an elevator during an earthquake, completely lost in the moment as adrenaline-fueled lust overcomes fear and they plunge into the biggest mistake of their lives.

While concealing her real age, Savannah jumps into an illicit sexual affair with the billionaire businessman. With her birthday right around the corner, Harrison would never know the truth. She promises herself that it’s just a harmless summer fling, a way to piss off her father, and have some fun before she heads off to college at Stanford next fall.

But Harrison is like no man she’s ever met before—brilliant, confident, self-made, and passionate. He’s also a possessive, complicated, pragmatic medical technology mogul with ruthless business sense and a hateful streak for his enemies. Luckily, he’s more interested in keeping her on his good side…in his bed…on his couch…in his Bentley.

Harrison’s past has left him jaded and cynical, he’s a playboy and a womanizer at his core, but he can’t deny his feelings for the strong, intelligent, feisty, and witty young woman that’s stolen his affections. One thing is clear, he always gets what he wants, and what he wants more than anything in the world is her.

The problem is that Savannah’s concealing another secret…she is the enemy—her father is James Rowan, the president and CEO of Rowan Integrated Technologies, Harrison’s number one competitor. If Savannah’s father is the medical technology king of Silicon Valley, Harrison Belmont is the prince about to dethrone him.

As the terrible secrets begin to unfold, Savannah and Harrison realize that their relationship is founded on a mountain of deceit, lies, and treachery that will end up costing them…

Everything.

This book was just ok, hence the rating here on GR. The story was intriguing, I liked Savannah, but I had an issue with Harrison.

At the start of the book, Savannah was only 17 years old, just weeks away from her 18th birthday. I didn't have a problem with this. What I had issue with was that Harrison was 27 and acted like he was 17. I didn't care that he was 27, it was how immature he was. He took Savannah's interest for granted, ignoring her on their first date, causing her to leave him. I was cheering for her at this point. For a guy that basically chased her down, and convinced her to go on the date, he should have unplugged at least a little, when they got to dinner.

It was how he reacted when Savannah walked out on him that annoyed me. Calling once or twice and texting once or twice...fine. But calling incessantly and leaving messages saying "Are you pissed at me?" screamed immature 17 year old and that just made me roll my eyes and not want to read more.

I was actually expecting more taboo and steam after reading the blurb. Themes that I usually like: heroine lying about her age (which leads to a lot of drama), enemies to lovers, older hot guy, and some steamy-stuck-in-the-elevator action (I know.. but I like this scenario!). Harrison just came off as a egotistical jerk since the photo shoot in his apartment and he just kept getting worse as he tried to 'make up' for his AH-ness. And he is a snob, on the number of times they went out, I just wanted to smack him upside the head. I didn't really like him until maybe the end where he protects Savannah and we find out more about him and his father. Savannah I liked. She was working hard on achieving her dream and just happens to be attracted to an older man, who also happens to be her father's arch enemy. All the delicious possibilities with this plot. Despite her wild attraction to Harrison, she made sure she was legal before anything happened. The s*x scenes were okay.

Something confused me,the part where they go to the grotto, it was mentioned she wore his boxers under her jeans but when they were stripping in the grotto and he was down to his boxers, she said it was unfair he was wearing more (she was down to her jeans) and he mentioned she went commando. Do boxers not count as undies on a woman? Then after that when she went home it was mentioned again that she was wearing his boxers under her jeans. *confused*

The hero was a total jerk, most of the time. The heroine fiesty...I enjoyed the read because of that. It is a very short read.

I liked the characters. I liked how they meet in the elevator and had a love at first sight feeling for each other. It was crazy how the story unfolds from being underage to enemy and competition of her father company. Defiantly a Romo and Juliet vibe. It has its twist and turns and lots of drama. But the story and the romance is Hot.

k, i'd been in a non stop hunt of romantic/contemporary books for a year and a half. I've been reading blogs recommendation books, random books, people list's books. Finish one and i star the next one. So i've read a lot of books some good ones some not so much some terrible some i couldn't even finish.

The plot was ok it could had being better the idea of the taboo relationship was cool. But not enough.
He wasn't really nice though. Self absorbed ass.
The heroine was cool. She kind of salvage the book.
Thebookingeneral was easy reading, the plot had a bit of intrigue. Not too bad. It was fun.
Would not read ir again.

I didn't like anything about this book. The hero was just overall an annoying man. He got mad at the heroine for not having sex with him and called her a tease. Their insta-love was unbelievable. I didn't find any chemistry between these two.

This book started out with promise but then it fell into this lull of boredom.

description

But surprisingly that isn't one of the big reasons I gave one star. No the reason I gave this only one star was the H of this story. He was just so immature! Now I don't mind that he's 27 and she's 17 (only in books) but I felt like they could both be 17 and the story wouldn't change at all, that's how much he acted like a teenager. It was a real turn off for me and I just couldn't take him, the story, or the relationship seriously.

Recived an ARC in exchange for a review.. Really enjoyed this read. Savannah is 17 about to turn 18 very soon after she meets young hot millionaire Harrison Belmont after they are trapped in an elevator together, things heat up. But Savannah is always wary of her age and tries to conceal it as much as possible but what will happen when he finds out. She wanted a fling but got so much more, she never expected to feel the way she does about Harrison. Harrison is brilliant, hot and possesive and a very competitive business man .
Harrison cannot deny his feelings for Savannah and he always gets what he wants. this is there story and its a great one. You will have to read to find out what happens when secrets are revealed....

I have never read any book by this author so it was a debut book which I need to stay that I liked. A lot!
We have a 27 years old tech shark Harrison and 17 (almost 18) years old girl Savannah.
They met in a elevator. Well that scene was a little bit too soon. They just see each other and the next minute they almost had s*x. No, no, too much.
I really like that Savannah was a girl with morals. She didn't want to sleep with him until she will not be 18 so I respect her for that. Harrison....that little sh*t...I really wanted to slap him. With a chair. You will know why when you will read this book.
I also wanted to know what happened with her father in a court and how her studies are going. I think epilogue #2 who would tell us about events after three or five years would be nice :)

Nice romance

I received an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review. Savannah is a mature seventeen year old girl and Harrison is a twenty something tech billionaire. An instant attraction is heightened by a brief time they are trapped in an elevator after an earthquake. She soon realizes Harrison's company is a competitor of her father's company, while he is unaware of her age or pedigree. Their hot romance becomes a front page scandal that could bring down everyone and destroy their budding relationship with uncertainty and suspicion. This is a quick read that is not bogged down with a lot of angst, an enjoyable way to spend a few hours.

A new adult romance packed with erotic hotness. Normally new adult books, I either like them or don't. This one exceeded my expectations. I was intrigued from the start. Savannah may have been 17 at the beginning but she didn't act like the typical teenager. A whiny spoiled brat. Instead she was mature for her age. Meeting and falling for Harrison, her father's competitor turns out to be the hardest but best decision of her life. They face a few road blocks along with revealing secrets like her age. Story shows age is not a factor for attraction, chemistry and who you fall in love with. Overall ready enjoyed reading. Received an ARC copy from author for a honest review.

*****3.5 STARS*****

I really liked the idea of this story. I don't think I've read an underage romance before, which made this very new a fresh for me. It has that modern day Romeo and Juliet vibe going for it too. Had a few minor problems that kept it from being a really good read. I did not like the hero in the beginning, and our heroine makes a few really bad decisions but overall an enjoyable read.

This is the first book I have read from this author . I was pleasantly surprised and really loved the story and the love affair between 17 year old Savannah Rowan and computer tech billionaire 27 year old Harrison Belmont. The sex scenes were naughty but sexy and romantic at the same time. I can't wait to start on another book of hers ❤️

Easy read

Wasn't sure when I downloaded this book because Savannah was young. Week or two shy of 18 and Harrison was 27 , afraid it was gonna read like rape or something like that. Savannah was very level headed young lady and kept everything appropriate until her birthday. If you are looking for a light easy read then this will be for you.

So glad I took a chance

I started this about 1 am just to see if I was going to be able to get into it. It's 6 am now, so I guess I got into it. One pass read. Poor kindle definitely worked overtime. It was all worth it. Loved the characters. The storyline was full-time engaging. It's a must read folks.

Cute, just jot for me.

It was a little too cheesy for me. Savannah had her moments f maturity, but I wasn't a huge fan. I mean, she was 17...I am not. Not even close. So it was hard for me to connect. I think if you are a reader under the age of 30, you'd probably really like this book.

Sweet romance

I thought this book was a sweet romance about a young woman who is enamoured with an older man. I don't really like the love you after a few weeks,I don't like any books with that theme. There is also the age difference subject.

I liked the premise of this story. Really kept my interest, but at the end it felt rushed and incomplete. I think if the last two or three chapters were rewritten and expanded asking with an epilogue this book would get 4-4.5 stars
