I have to start by admitting: I had doubts about the third book and its detour into the past and other characters. I thought it interrupted the momentum. Now that the series is over, I can say I was wrong. It did interrupt the momentum, but with a purpose. That book was necessary. It gave us so much context and so much emotional groundwork that this finale lands so much harder because of it. The weight of everything needed that foundation.
Kye and Maren are obviously the heart of this series and they are both absolutely ride or die for one another. They have a ton of responsibility, but one another comes first. Not sure that's the absolute BEST characteristic for rulers, but I loved it regardless. The characters are incredible and the journey they've been on together carries real emotional weight by the time this finale arrives.
That said, the pacing isn't always perfect despite the length. Some moments that feel incredibly significant get resolved way faster than they deserved, which was occasionally frustrating. I do think Kye and Maren benefited from some considerable plot armor across the series, which softened the tension at times. Pheolix's ending is bittersweet in a way that adds a little more nuance to what could have been an uncomplicated happy ending, and I appreciated that.
But the author gave us a beautiful and fairly perfect conclusion to a fantastic journey. Highly recommend this series!
Thank you to the author for the complimentary pre-released review copy. This review is voluntary and all opinions are my own.

A Sea of Fate and Starfire
Whit Stanfield
The Naiads of Juile, Book 4 — Series Finale
What a way to end this sensational story.
Sirens, revenge, feminine rage, love, sacrifice, and a journey across sea, stars, and fire, author Whit Stanfield brought everything together for a finale that felt epic, emotional, and completely worthy of this series.
Maren’s journey has been one of my favorite parts of these books, and in this final installment, we see just how much she has changed. She is carrying grief, anger, responsibility, and the weight of her people’s future, but she never loses that fire that makes her Maren. I loved seeing both sides of her, the powerful woman ready to fight for what is hers and the vulnerable woman learning that strength doesn’t always mean carrying everything alone.
Kye! Their relationship has been through so much, and seeing them reach this point made every difficult moment along the way worth it. The “my wife” and “my husband” moments, Yes!!! Give me all of them.
The worldbuilding was absolutely beautiful. The sea, the stars, Perpetuum, the danger, and the mythology made this final adventure feel huge, while the emotional moments kept it personal. Wow, Pheolix!! My heart!!! That is all I am going to say.
Book four closes the door on an incredible journey, but I’m still standing outside that door hoping Whit Stanfield decides to open it again with a spin-off.
Thank you to Whit Stanfield for providing me with an eARC and for giving us a story filled with sea, stars, and fire. It has been such an adventure experiencing Maren’s world from beginning to end.
If you’re starting this series, start with Book 1. This is one emotional journey that deserves to be experienced in order.

✨A Sea of Fate and Starfire✨
A phenomenal finale from Whit, this series is one you DO NOT want to sleep on! Sirens, humans, looming war, meddling gods, unique magics, and an epic romance… you MUST grab book one, A Sea of Song and Sirens, and begin your journey with Maren and Kye RIGHT NOW.
Book 4 takes place right where we left off after book 2. Book 3 provides us with extra important info that brings alight revelations galore and makes this finale even more heart wrenching. I was screaming, hollering, giggling, swooning, celebrating, and crying as Whit takes us on a journey that is far from linear and instead full of tension, action, and a romance that feels stable, gentle, intense, and unbreakable.
I love this series. I love the growth, the found family, the dynamics, the banter, and the love. Kye will forever be one of my most favorite MMCs and I am SO EXCITED for what Whit gives us next after those crumbs she snuck us. Grab books 1-3 today and preorder this one right after.
Tropes you may find in ASOFAS are unique bonds, she bargains her soul for him, they save each other, meddling gods, found family, banter, medium spice, dual POV, unique magics, sirens and mythical animal companion, plot twists, a HEA for most, and so much more!
Whit, thank you for allowing me to be an arc reader for this entire series. I cannot wait to continue with you along your journey!

It feels like I've been waiting forever for this book release. I was brave and decided to jump straight into this book, heart be damned. I was just too excited to escape back into the Naiads of Juile series that all caution was thrown to the wind. Now all those who have read all other books in this series can truly understand these turbulent emotions. For those of you that haven't yet had the pleasure of reading Whits absolute masterpiece of a series, then I urge you to change that immediately, but be warned, she holds our hearts in her hands whilst letting out an evil cackle.
A Sea of Fate and Starfire is book 4 in the Naiads of Juile series and a very much anticipated release after the utterly devastating turn of events that took place in book 2 A Sea of Wrath and Scoria. This is it. The finale. The conclusion. So get ready to experience a myriad of emotions.
Now, I've had time to question everything, curse, forgive and applaud Whit for the emotional damage and attemp to heal from the utterly devastating ending to book 2, or so I thought. Just opening the book and reading the very first words of chapter 1 it all came flooding back. All the anguish and heartache just overwhelmed me and I just knew a phenomenal story was calling to me, just like the song of a siren.
Whit jumps straight into the story with action teamed with straight up anxiety. The clock is ticking for Maren, with having only 3 days and wow do you feel the apprehension. The ending of chapter 3 had me releasing a breathe I didn't know I was holding.
But oh no, it didn't stop there. Our heroine was on the most consequential journey yet, with a count down that would end in utter devastation should she fail. Those next chapters had my heart clenched in a vice, but oh boy was it worth every second. Whit you absolutely delivered and then some. It was beautiful.
Summing up part 1 of A Sea of Fate and Starfire.... it. Was. Incredible. So many emotions swirling around and just when you think its safe to relax, don't. Its lulling you into a false sense of security. It's absolutely amazing through and through. A lot of jaw drop moments, heart racing moments, giggly moments and also heartache moments too.
Again prepare yourself for part 2, hell prepare yourself for the rest of the book, because my goodness. It. Doesn't. Stop. Do not take this as warning, this is a full open arms invitation. Feel the emotions, the joy, the heartache. Enjoy the turbulent journey because it is worth every single second.
The ending had me staring at the wall in, well I have no idea what I was feeling, but I was feeling everything. Everything was finished off beautifully with no loose ends and no questions left unanswered. Finished to utter perfection. Even down to a suprise gut wrenching twist, which I was completely blind sided by... actually, truth be told, I was blind sided by everything that transpired throughout the entirety of this series.
I am currently left experiencing that blissfull feeling after reading such a mind blowing, sensational series, but also surrounded by sadness that Kye and Maren's story has come to an end. What a journey its been though.
Whit you have outdone yourself. Each book you've written is outstanding. I'm in awe and completely blown away after each book I have read, thinking there's no way this book can be beaten and each time you truly surpass every expectation. I can imagine you rubbing your hands together after previous book releases with a smirk saying "You've seen nothing yet!"
Thank you so much for having me with you on this journey. I have been there from the beginning, since before the release of A Sea of Song and Sirens and I just want to congratulate you and let you know how proud I am with how far you've come and everything you've achieved. Thank you for all the hard work you've put into creating this beautiful masterpiece and for sharing it with the world. I cannot wait to see what you have planned next.

Wellllll we have officially reached the end of the mermaid journey and I HAVE THOUGHTS 😂🌊
First of all, this book was a fucking ride. There is SO much happening and somehow Whit is still adding new lore, new magic, new secrets, new creatures and apparently SECRET ANCESTRY with 150 pages left because why the hell not 😂
The final battle with Thaan was everything I wanted it to be. It was big, it was dramatic, people actually died and I was stressedddd 😭😭😭 If you read my review of book 3, you know the twins already got me, so obviously I cried. But Selena being the one to ultimately kill Thaan?! I LOVED that. Especially the way it came back to the deal she had made with herself before everything happened. CHEF’S KISS.
Now let’s talk about the thing I’m still mad about.
AEGIR.
WHY 😭 I LOVED HIM. And listen, I understand why we did it. I understand what it did for the plot. Maren needed the strength of both colonies, Aegir wouldn’t give it to her, and ultimately everything worked out exactly how it needed to.
I understand but I am still pissed 😂
Especially because at the same time we’re taking Kazimir, WHO KIDNAPPED MAREN, from enemy to basically one of the good guys… So we made a villain an ally and an ally a villain and I’m just sitting here like…was all of this necessary 😅
Maren also tested my patience in this one. One of the things I loved about her from the beginning was that she was angry without being one of those FMCs who is SO angry and stubborn that you want to fight her yourself. Welllllll she got close this time 😂 Homegirl was making some CHOICES. Especially when it came to Kye. And I love a woman who will burn the entire world down for her man, trust me, but MA’AM YOU ARE ALSO A QUEEN. Maybe let’s think about the other people who live here before we start chopping hands off and murdering kings 👀
My biggest WTF though is that we actually end this series with A LOT of unanswered questions.
There were things I was absolutely convinced we were building toward that just never happened. Characters I thought were going somewhere. Relationships I thought would pay off. An entire mystery surrounding Rivea and its king that I was WAITING for an explanation on. NOTHING.
So I refuse to believe we’re completely done with this world because Whitney, I need answers. 😂
BUTTTT despite me bitching for half this review, I really did love this series.
The worldbuilding. The magic. The lore. THE FOUND FAMILY. 😭 The characters I somehow became ridiculously attached to. I went into book one thinking we were going to play mermaids and somehow ended up four books deep crying over these people, screaming about betrayals and trying to solve magical family trees.
Whit Stanfield really does know how to tell a fucking story.
Did she have me glued to this book, pissed off, crying, making theories and needing to know what happened until the very end?
Unfortunately, yes. 😂
And Whitney…I’m gonna need you to explain Rivea because I KNOW SOMETHING IS GOING ON OVER THERE 👀🌊

𝗦𝗜𝗫 𝗦𝗧𝗔𝗥𝗦. 𝗜 𝗔𝗠 𝗡𝗢𝗧 𝗢𝗞𝗔𝗬. 😭💔
It’s officially over, and I genuinely don’t know how I’m supposed to move on after spending this entire journey with Maren, Kye, and this incredible world. 🥹
A Sea of Fate & Starfire was everything I wanted from a finale and somehow still managed to surprise me. I laughed, screamed, got angry, swooned, cried, and had my heart absolutely shattered before Whit somehow put it back together again. 😂😭❤️
And the plot twists?! 𝗪𝗛𝗜𝗧. 𝗪𝗛𝗔𝗧 𝗪𝗔𝗦 𝗧𝗛𝗔𝗧?! 😂 There were so many moments where I thought I had everything figured out, only to realize I absolutely did 𝗡𝗢𝗧. My jaw was on the floor!
And 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗞𝘆𝗲… 𝗜 𝗟𝗢𝗩𝗘 𝗧𝗛𝗘𝗦𝗘 𝗧𝗪𝗢 𝗦𝗢 𝗠𝗨𝗖𝗛. 🥹❤️ Maren is such a badass, and watching her grow throughout this series has been incredible. And Kye—my sweet teddy bear of a man. 🥹 Watching him overcome his insecurities and become who he was always meant to be melted my heart. Their relationship is everything. The banter, trust, loyalty, and the way they constantly choose each other… their bond is truly 𝘂𝗻𝗯𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗸𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲. ❤️
And the 𝗪𝗢𝗥𝗟𝗗. 🌊✨ Whit created a world above the water AND beneath it that I never wanted to leave. The magic, sirens, gods, mythical creatures, and different dimensions made it feel like stepping somewhere else every time I opened a book.
What I appreciated most about the ending was that it didn’t magically make everything perfect. These characters have been through SO much. There was loss, heartbreak, and consequences—and that made the conclusion feel even more meaningful and earned. It was beautifully bittersweet. 💔
I have been on this journey with Whit, Maren, and Kye from the very beginning, and saying goodbye genuinely hurts. I’ve watched this story unfold book by book and fallen more in love with this world and these characters every time. What a magical ride—or should I say 𝗦𝗪𝗜𝗠? 🥹🌊
Whit, you created something truly special with The Naiads of Juile. The found family, friendships, romance, magic, heartbreak, and unforgettable characters will stay with me for a long time.
I’m 𝗗𝗘𝗩𝗔𝗦𝗧𝗔𝗧𝗘𝗗 that it’s over, but I truly cannot imagine a better ending. ❤️

"A Sea of Fate and Starfire" is book 4 in The Naiads of Juile series by Whit Stanfield, and EXCUSE ME MA'AM what have you done to me?!
Maren is entangled in a human war that has nothing to do with her, but has suddenly taken *everything* from her. She's faced with the impossible task of slaying an ancient monster, traversing the sea of stars to reach Perpetuum and scaling a mountain to hear a truth before she can drag herself, and the soul she went after, back to the land of the living.
If she succeeds, she'll be back in the middle of war, the freedom of her people on her shoulders, and the man she seeks responsible for countless deaths, forced blood oaths and imprisoned minds in hiding, but still pulling strings to push his agenda forward.
"But queens keep promises like stars keep fire, and Maren has a burning debt to settle."
What to expect:
✨Series finale
🔥Deal with the devil (Darkness)
✨Feminine rage
🔥Revenge
✨Sirens
🔥"My wife," "my husband,"
I was not ready for this book to end, let alone the entire series (I'm still going to hold out hope for some spin offs in the same world with different characters, because that ending? Ah huh, I'm looking at you Ms. Author!)
Maren is the perfect combination of humanity, feminine rage, vulnerability, growth and *Daddy* vibes throughout. Kye is also Daddy. Don't argue. I absolutely loved her growth and her ability to let go of some of her rage and allow love to take up space. I love me an angry heroine, but I love raw, and real and the insecurities and weakness, and strength and power Whit weaves into her characters (and Maren especially) is just *chef kiss*
I loved the worldbuilding, the way everything pulled together at the end (always impressed with various timelines how authors map all that out!) and my heart is absolutely shattered by and for Pheolix. Of all the gasp-worthy and tear inducing moments in the book, he made me produce the most.
You will absolutely want to pick up this series, but please start at the beginning - the emotional trauma is best served in order.
Thank you to Whit Stanfield for the eARC of this book! All thoughts and opinions are my own.

When I started my journey into this series last summer, I didn’t realize how deep these characters and this world would creep into my soul. I am OBSESSED with the magic and characters. Did I sob while reading this? SURE DID. (thanks for the hurt, Whit.).
I usually fly through my reads, but knowing that this was the final chapter, I found my self SAVORING every single page. The emotional depth and mental health rep of this series is absolutely EVERYTHING. I’m going to be completely honest… I was UNWELL after the end of book 2. That ending has stuck with me for a year and I found myself thinking about it often. That my friends, is how you know that a series is elite. This conclusion was a rollercoaster for Maren and Kye (ugh I love Kye so much). The emotion BLEEDS through the pages. The pacing is full throttle from the start. The stakes are high. The anxiety is elevated. The plot twists are jaw-dropping. And the love is everythingggg.
Per usual with Whit’s books: I laughed, I cried, I screamed, and then I stared at the wall for 10 minutes when I finished… I am so sad to say goodbye to this world but the ending was straight perfection. I am so excited for what Whit writes next.

Thank you Whit Stanfield for the ARC!
This is a beautiful, mystical, epic, and satisfying end to the series. All the parts involving the various gods is appropriately mythical and lyrical, with Maren defying them every step of the way, but some of the gods (namely Love and Truth) will still have their due. I will say that during the first 20% of the book, I was a little disappointed that the cliffhanger of book 2 was solved so easily and Maren and Ky united so fast, but this book does not let up with the pace of the plot since the threat of Thenn looms large, and it's hard to unite both naiads and humans to the same cause. The climax is super exciting and heartbreaking in the end.
Maren and Kye are of course the beating heart of the novel, their love for each other stronger than ever and burning bright They're competent and strong apart, but all the better when together and leading the rebellion against Thenn. They banter, plot together, and the smut between them is still scorching.
And here's where i get to why I have to take off a star despite all that
All in all though, this was a great end to the series, and you have to read it to finish off Maren and Kye's journey.

Oh my goodness, how do I review a book like this? I've had the privilege of being an ARC reader for Whit since book 1, A Sea of Song and Sirens, and I fell in love with her writing then, eagerly awaiting each book she released after that. So how do I review this book knowing it's the last in the series, and this adventure has come to an end?
I love the characters in this series. I love the depth of world-building. I've swooned, sobbed, laughed out loud. I've stopped breathing in a half-panic at tragedies and heartbreaking moments. One moment I would be stunned at what Whit had her characters endure, and moments later I'd be crying at the heartfelt moments of love and loyalty.
If you've read the rest of the series, you know there are some dark moments in the books. Perhaps it was my own mood or perception, but I felt this book had a lingering cloud of darkness for most of the book. Because of that, it had a slightly different vibe for me. Not a bad thing, just different. But around 80%, the familiarity of writing returned, a mixture of darker and lighter moments; and it was also at this point that the drama really kicks up!
Lots of secrets come to light, often with plot twists I hadn't anticipated. (Of course, that's in true Whit fashion, so I'm not sure why I was surprised when the twists kept twisting. 😂)
Even with all the twists and new information, I felt Whit did a great job tying up loose ends and providing closure. I loved all the small references to previous books and scenes that helped explain new revelations -- hints that Whit had been slipping to us the entire time.
And that chapter after the epilogue... It leaves hints of an upcoming adventure that I'm thoroughly hoping is a promise of another book in this world! 👀
Thank you to Whit for the chance to be an ARC reader yet again! It's always a pleasure reading your books. 🫶

The journey to true freedom is never easy and a happy ending is never guaranteed. Whit Stanfield reminds us of how fragile people are within the pages of A Sea of Fate and Starfire. Book 4 and the final chapter of her Naiads of Juile brings an epic conclusion to an epic fantasy that has held so many captive since book 1. The conclusion to this series has been long awaited, yet I still wasn’t ready for the journey that Whit would take me on. A love that expands through space and time, a FMC who will do anything to save her people, and a MMC who never stops believing the power the woman he loves possesses.
Maren and Kye have already been through so much to solidify their love for each other. What started full of doubt and mistrust has grown into deep passion, trusting one another with their lives, and the partnership to overcome anything. As this is book 4 it is hard to give a full review without spoiling any of the series. The bond between these two has been woven throughout the entire series and proves over and over again that these two are better together than apart.
Every book provides more and more vivid imagery into the world that Whit has built. Each book expands on the universe and takes readers on an epic journey of a beautiful world that I have loved exploring over the years. Her characters are deep, complex, and layered. As each storyline has revealed more of what drives them, she has beautifully tied them each to one another. I have enjoyed this series so much and while the conclusion of it is bittersweet, I cannot imagine a different ending that would give this story the conclusion it deserved.
As always, review any author notes before reading.
What to Expect:
🧡Time Shift Romance
✨Reclaim Him from the Stars
🧡Bargaining with Gods
✨Siren Queen FMC
🧡Possessive MMC
✨Mommy and Daddy Issues
🧡Completed Series

Thank you so much to the author for the eARC!
OMG, you really NEED to read this entire series and especially the fourth and final book. This book is absolutely explosive and you will be in for one crazy rollercoaster ride of emotions. So much happens right from the beginning, and honestly, I didn’t want this book to end. It was just SO good! This book picks right up where book 2 ended on that brutal cliffhanger.
Maren really grows into the Queen she’s always destined to be. She has to make so many very difficult decisions that not only impact her and her friends, but also all the Naiads who follow her. She goes through hell and makes deals with several deities to try to safe everyone.
And then there is Kye… and I’m not going to say much about him because you NEED to experience that for yourself! We also get all of the other important characters throughout this book, and there will be moments when you want to scream at them. Get ready to throw this book at the wall! A lot of secrets are revealed in this book. This book wraps up their story perfectly but leaves plenty of room for more books in this universe.
I honestly devoured this book and had such a hard time putting it down. Once you start reading, you won’t want to stop until you reach that final page. And even then, you want more from everyone.

I am genuinely so sad this series is over. I wasn't ready to say goodbye to these characters, but A Sea of Fate & Starfire was such a perfect ending.
Maren is a bad@$$. Plain and simple. She's stubborn, ridiculously brave, and basically living a “hold my beer and watch this” life. Kye and Phoelix? UGHHHH. Somehow, I fell even harder for both of them.
Apparently, Whit decided that since this was the final book, none of us needed peace because the twists in this book were INSANE. Every time I let my guard down, something blindsided me and knocked me right on my ass. I didn't see half of it coming until it hit me head-on, backed up, and ran me over again.
It's probably a good thing I covet my physical ARC so much because otherwise it might have been thrown across the room, off a roof, into the sea. I don’t know - definitely somewhere dramatic though. The amount of gasping and WHAT THE HE!! moments was ridiculous. It was glorious.
By the time I finished, I was happy, shocked, emotional, completely flabbergasted, and still trying to pick my jaw up off the floor.
And then...
THAT PROLOGUE.
That's it. That's all I'm saying.
If you've read it, YOU KNOW. If you haven't, you should.
I absolutely loved this series, but I can't wait to see what Whit has in store for us next.

This series has been my Roman Empire and the first 3 books had me completely hooked, I loved the characters/ plot/ history/ world building and was truly soooo excited for the finale.
However, I do feel that in some way we been left with more questions than answers!
*contains spoilers*
What was the purpose of Selena’s note? I was expecting a long lost child after the ending of book 3 and yet…. Nothing confirmed.
Who was the Rivean king and why did we simply gloss over him? What happened to Thaans colony made up of 10000x Naiads? Was Theias quest completed? Will Hade and Diara get together? I just feel a bit like the ending needed to tie up in a neat bow slightly better.
Also, the pacing of this book is CRAZY so much happens but it’s glossed over in a matter of a few seconds that I couldn’t keep up with the whiplash, or we got multiple chapters on Evenstar doing nothing! And why on earth did EVERY character from Maren’s inner circle have to be mentioned and attend at every new location, it felt unnecessary 99% of the time.
That said, the book is brilliant and the characters are so easy to emotionally connect with!
The entire series together is a 5/5 for me - but this wasn’t my fave book.
Hopefully we get to see more of the Naiads.

Such an incredible finish to a must-read romantasy series. The only thing I don't like is that the series is now over, and I am not ready to say goodbye to the characters.
In this finale to The Naiads of Juile, the stakes are higher than ever, and it kept me locked in from start to finish. It is an emotional rollercoaster that will leave you laughing, crying, and everything inbetween. And if you loved the feminine rage energy from the previous books, you are going to LOVE it in this book. And all the twists and turns...well, if you have read the other books, you know how much Whit loves a good plot twist. She also masterfully wove lose ends and significant elements from throughout the series into this finale to really bring everything together in the end. 10/10 would absolutely recommend.
If you love romantasy with mermaids, sirens, or naiads, this is a must-read. Like, you need to go get book one right this moment and start reading it, because this is not a series you want to miss. Why are you still here? GO READ IT.
Thank you to the author for providing me with an early copy of this book. This is my honest and voluntary review.

What a way to end the Naiads series! I honestly don’t know how I’m supposed to say goodbye!! A Sea of Fate and Starfire really felt like everything was finally coming together for Maren and the rest of the characters we’ve gotten to know throughout the series.
Maren is thrown into some pretty intense situations in this one as she continues trying to understand her powers, her connection to the different realms, and what her role is in everything that’s unfolding. The story takes us deeper into the Perpetuum.
There’s also a lot happening with the different alliances, loyalties, and relationships. The action picked up quite a bit in this book, and there were plenty of revelations and twists along the way.
Overall, this was a really satisfying conclusion to the Naiads series. Although I did have a few questions after the epilogue, but maybe it’s left up to the reader to decipher. Maren’s journey has been quite the ride, and I’m glad I got to see where it all ended! Thank you to Whit Stanfield for allowing me to be one of your ARC readers!

Naiads of Juile is now a complete series, aahhh!
Whit's intricate, vivid, and compelling storytelling and world-building are just too good, and everything came together so well.
Oh look, once again Maren is saving Kye's cute butt ;) in the sea of stars that is Perpetuum (basically the afterlife) this time !! Oh yeah, and we still need to defeat Thaan, who I keep hating more with each book 😂 there's also lots of bargains and meddling fates in this book, and it is quite the ride! The way I'd be yelling at Kye or Maren or someone like wtf are you doing 🤣 This book stressed me out LOL.
Seeing Maren & Kye's love and how they choose each other again & again, even through everything…. I love them so much, your honour!! Kye is such a simp and forever supportive. There were def some plot/information twists/reveals I didn’t expect, betrayal, a character becoming an ally that I didn't expect, and lots of emotional damage (obviously) - but definitely some happy tears too. This was the perfect series conclusion, if you ask me 💖 I'm emotional that it's over now!

This book put me THROUGH IT. I was happy, I was angry, my heart was absolutely breaking and then somehow everything got put back together again.
Whit Stanfield created something so beautiful here. The world above the water, the world beneath it, the creatures, the magic, the different dimensions of it all… it genuinely feels like stepping somewhere else while you’re reading.
And the plot twists?! There were things I absolutely DID NOT see coming. 😂 Just when I thought I understood where everything was headed — nope.
What I appreciated most about the ending, though, was that everything wasn’t magically made perfect. These characters have been through too much for that. There was loss. There were consequences. There were moments that hurt. And somehow that made the conclusion feel even more meaningful.
Beautiful world building, incredible characters, friendship, love, sacrifice, magic.. it really was a JOURNEY 💔

Whit Stanfield is a storyteller! She has done an incredible job weaving this plot, allowing things to unfold as they come. The pacing is fast when it needs to be fast, slow when it needs to be slow. It feels effortless and natural to read. The story is heartbreaking and full of emotional trauma, but the ending was perfection.
The character development not just with Maren and Kye, but also of the side characters is beautifully done. They feel real, they make mistakes, they learn and grow. My only wish was that we had a little more time with Selena and Cebrinne. I felt so connected with them after the third book, I would have loved to hear more from their point of view.
Thank you to Whit for this advance copy to share my honest opinions with you. Overall, it was a perfect conclusion to this epic story. I’m so sad to leave this world behind, although hopeful that a door has been left open for a possible spin off.

This book was an unforgettable ending to one of my favorite fantasy series. Filled with sirens, naiads, revenge, love, sacrifice, and a journey across the sea, Whit left nothing behind when writing this epic conclusion. The world building alone is worth the read — every corner of this universe feels alive, from the singing shores to the hidden colonies scattered across the water. The pacing of this book was fast and filled with so many twists and turns, I wasn't sure how things were going to end.
Maren is a true Queen of the Sea, and watching her journey from island girl to the woman who united colonies was unforgettable. Kye truly came into his own, with a few surprises up his sleeve, and their chemistry continues to sizzle until the very end!
What truly sets this series apart is the incredible world building and the characters Whit has poured into every page. A true fantasy masterpiece.

I honestly don’t even know where to start… I loved it so much.
The plot twists had me completely hooked, and I felt everything while reading this. I was happy, angry, emotional, and absolutely heartbroken. I went through it all.
I also really loved seeing the character development throughout the series. Watching the characters grow and change made everything feel so much more meaningful, and I was so invested in their stories.
I’m honestly so sad that this is the final book because I’m not ready to say goodbye to these characters and this world. But at the same time, what an incredible way to finish the series.
The whole series was just so good!It was perfection.
Definitely one of those series that will stay with me for a long time.

Review of Advanced Copy Recieved by Author thank you for the opportunity
Ok i didnt know what to expect with this book but this finale to the series was worth the wait. It has so much going on from being at the brink of war, gods that like to meddle, revenge and magic you don't see often. Maren bargaining her soul for kye , a journey across a sea and a action packed battle with Thann oh and dont forget an ending that leaves you in your feelings, without spoiling the books I really didnt want this journey to end but all question were answered and any loose ends tied beautifully. dive into Maren and Kye's rollercoaster of emotions and a love that will leave you swooning even after you read the last page.

ARC received from author
Wow this was definitely one hell of a conclusion to this series!! I cannot thank Whit enough, for having me on the ARC team since the beginning (or maybe since book 2? I don't remember).
Everything about this was heart wrenching and wholesome (you really know how to pull my heart strings).
Little pre-warning: yes it's a long book, yes within the last 100 pages you have no clue how there isn't another book in the series, but believe me you will be satisfied. I was satisfied but also stressed out like crazy within the last few pages.
Thank you very much to Whit Stanfield for sending me the eARC in exchange for an honest review.
The shelf trophy has been acquired.

10000/10 recommend. If I could rate this more than 5 stars I absolutely would! Ma'am the fricken emotions that you put me through with this..I thought I was ready, I knew I wasn't ready but I jumped in anyway and it did NOT let me down. The world building 🤌🏼 the character growth🤌🏼 our FMC and MMC🤌🏼🤌🏼 The whole series was perfection to be honest and if there is one thing I would ask of you it would be to come play mermaids with me and read The Niads if Julie! I am so sad that this is the end of the series but so thankful I was able to be in this universe! Thank you Whit for everything amazing! 🩷🧜🏼♀️

I love this series so so so much. Wow that was an emotional roller coaster!! Whit does such an amazing job at pulling you into the story. World building? On point. Character development? Perfection. Plot? So many twists and turns you can’t put it down.
Amazing, amazing, amazing!! One of those series where I will miss the characters. I definitely cried reading this one. So emotional. And the way Whit ties things through all 4 books?? This will definitely be a reread once I recover! One of my favorite series of all time!
So glad that I saw Whit’s posts on Instagram, to think I might of missed reading this masterpiece!! Whatever she writes I will be buying it, always!!!

I was not ready for this series to end 😭
I was so ready to dive back into this world! This has been on of my favorite series..I went in ready for my heart to be sad.
Whit really knows how to play with our emotions and I’ll forever love her for that 😂 This series is seriously a masterpiece and I’ll forever recommend it to everyone…just know that you’re signing up for emotional damage willingly.
This is the FINAL CHAPTER and book 4 in Naiads of Julie series and if you’ve read all of the other books, you’ll understand how I’m feeling! After what’s happened in the past two books, to go into this knowing it’s the end 🥹😭
You jump right back in from page 1! Now I remember all the emotions from the endings of the last books. Trust the journey and feel the emotions because you’re in for a ride! Just when you think you can relax, jokes on you!! You’ll not want to stop turning these pages even though you know the end is near.
What an epic conclusion of this series!! I did NOT see that twist coming!! You always outdo yourself Whit! You keep us in a chokehold and I cannot wait to see what’s to come! Thank you for having me on your team and giving me the opportunity to read early. I’ve finally gotten myself together and everyone…READ THIS SERIES!! You will not be sorry! Thank you again for including me on this journey!!! So excited for you!
"But queens keep promises like stars keep fire, and Maren has a burning debt to settle."
What to expect:
✨Series finale
✨Deal with the devil (Darkness)
✨Feminine Rage
✨Sirens
✨”My wife” “My husband”
✨Revenge

"Cross the line with my wife and she'll probably kill you herself. But if she doesn't, I fucking will."
BOOK 4 IS AN ABSOLUTE BANGER. I was not emotionally stable enough for this series to end, and certainly not in the way Whit wrote it - this might as well be called "A Sea of Emotional Rollercoasters." Somehow she managed to tie up an incredibly tangled web of various threads while simultaneously ripping my heart out of my chest.
I refuse to spoil it, but suffice to say: Kye is Daddy. Maren is also Daddy. Make sure you set aside some time because you're not going to be able to put this down until it's done.

This book was such a well written ending! Here are my totally spoiler free after reading thoughts.
1. Maren is still a bada**. Kye is still top tier.
2. Maren and Kye’s story is wrapped beautifully. The battles they have been fighting ended and they were done well.
3. Although their story has ended there’s more I would love to see from this universe. So much story left to tell. The ending is just fine the way it is but also if Whit wanted to keep going with other characters I wouldn’t be mad.
4. Expect to cry. More than once.
5. Expect a lot of internal “damn” or “wtf” as there are unexpected events and things uncovered.
6. You will be reminded why found family is the best family.

I am writing this review while sobbing here. I am so sad and emotional that this book and series is now over but oh my goodness, was everything perfection.
I was gasping in parts and was held in a chockhold and could not stop reading.
I am telling you this book is a must read but make sure to start at the beginning if you haven't already started. The world building, character growth, a fierce and angry FMC with a MMC that is just chef's kiss is everything this book had. Bravo, but holy heck I can't stop crying!

After the cliffhanger in A Wrath of Sea and Scoria how could you not want to jump right into this book?
I love how strong and cleaver Maren is. She works on tackling problems as soon as they arrive. This book has so many twists and turns which had me yelling at my kindle. Yelling things like, “I knew it” or “no, what?!”. I very much enjoyed the finally of Maren and Kye’s amazing story. It was definitely an emotional roller coaster but a good one. Also I loved the last two sentences in this book. Thank you so much for this arc.
