Joseph "Jeph" Loeb III is an Emmy and WGA nominated American film and television writer, producer and award-winning comic book writer. Loeb was a Co-Executive Producer on the NBC hit show Heroes, and formerly a producer/writer on the TV series Smallville and Lost.
A four-time Eisner Award winner and five-time Wizard Fan Awards winner (see below), Loeb's comic book career includes work on many major characters, including Spider-Man, Batman, Superman, Hulk, Captain America, Cable, Iron Man, Daredevil, Supergirl, the Avengers, and Buffy the Vampire Slayer, much of which he has produced in collaboration with artist Tim Sale, who provides the comic art seen on Heroes.
This is Cable after the Second Coming and he came back from a future where he discovered that Hope was killed by the Avengers and as a result, she couldn't save the world.
He only had a day to live and decided to wipe the Avengers as his last Crusade. He started by beating the shyte out of Captain Hypocrite Steve Rogers and his loser side-kick Falcon.
The artwork makes everyone look like their body is constricting - so shorter, bulkier characters. Cap who is over 6' looks similar to Wolverine who is considerably shorter. The story is okay though they are hiding a lot. Seems like Cable would try to talk it out with Cap but nope... where's the drama there?
