Forty days with brooding Mayor Rome D’Amore shouldn’t be too difficult, right? Becca Spencer has never spent too much time in one place, so when she takes on the task of being Rome’s fake fiancée, she must ignore her restlessness and give it her all. She won’t let Rome, mucky aura and all, or the town of Prospect down...for a number of reasons. But the more time she spends in this cozy little town with the gorgeous mayor, the more she wonders if forty days could turn into forever.
Rome can’t seem to get his ex-wife, Eve, out of his life and out of his mind. It’s almost as if the wicked woman cast a spell on him. Now that Eve’s remarried and determined to ruin his life, he has no choice but to trust in the beautiful, eccentric Becca to help him get reelected. Pretending to be Becca’s fiancé has its upside, of course, but trust isn’t something that ever came easy to Rome. Finally breaking away from his past might just be what he needs to get over Eve, but what will the future hold?

I received this book from the author in return for a fair and honest review.
This is book 3 in the Bewitching Women series. This book is the story of Becca and Rome who both have issues caused by paranormal problems although neither of them know this to start with. The fireworks are in immediate evidence when Becca and Rome meet and it doesn't take much for the spark to turn into a flame. The attraction is instant and HOT!
Of course, like I said, they both have issues, not least of which is an ex-wife from hell and a witchfinder. Lost family members, relationships, death, friendship - this book just doesn't slow down from the moment you open it up. There is always something happening and usually Becca has a quip to go with the occasion.
There are so many adjectives that go with this book and most of them are paradoxical to each other - hot, sweet, contemporary, paranormal, friendship, romance, deceit, betrayal. It's all here.
This is very well-written with wonderful characters that leap from the page, including a brief cameo from old friends.
Definitely recommended! and I'm hoping for more to come in this series because I thoroughly enjoy it!
I just read this most wonderful book by Viola Estrella. Story of Mayor Rome D'Amore and Becca Spencer 2 people with a history that makes them both gun shy towards relationships. You see there is a spoiled rich girl that lives in Prospect. Her name is Eve and she happens to be Rome's ex-wife. She must have known all those years ago that Rome would not fall with her without help, so she forced the town witches, who just happen to be Becca's Grandmother, Daisy and her Aunt, Gwen, to put a spell on him. However they left a loophole, should he ever fall in love, a real love, the spell would be broken. Becca has been at odds with her parents mainly for mom for most of her life, they do not understand her, especially now with her newfound ability to see people's aura which she inherited from her mom's side of the family. Her mom will not answer any questions regarding Becca's new ability. She is becoming frustrated because she does not know how to understand her new power. However, she knows her Grandmother does. Becca has not seen her Grandmother or Aunt since she was a toddler because of her mother's estrangement from them. When they send a dream spell to Becca summoning her to them, she decides to follow her dream and find them. On her way to them, she almost hits what she thinks is a deer, but hits Rome's campaign sign for re-election, and punctures her tire on the signpost. I am not going to describe the content of the book any further. You can read the blurb for that. This is a wonderful story of two strangers falling in love. Ms. Estrella does a phenomenal job writing this book. I love the way she tells the whole story. She takes the reader on an emotional roller coaster ride, with a delightful HEA at the end. I am glad that this book is part of a series, actually the 3rd, I am going to go read the other two because I enjoyed this one so much. I received a free copy of this book for my honest opinion. I am definitely glad I did because I thoroughly enjoyed this book. Thank you for reading my review. Please, read this book, you will enjoy it.
Disclaimer: I was gifted this book by the author in return for an honest review. I'll just come right out and say it....I loved this book! It is the best one of the series so far and I hope there are more to come. Magic, love, sex and an evil ex, with fascinating new characters and the return of old ones, what more could you ask for in a witchy romance? Viola Estrella has created a magical series
I received a copy of this book for an honest review. This was a cute romance. I'm not used to reading books where people see auras and witches are involved. This book was more on the cute side. The book did use the "F" word which I don't really like. I enjoyed Becca and Rome's romance. It was sweet to watch it grow. I enjoyed Rome's sister and his father Pops.
Fantastic book. I was given this e-book for free for a set review. Becca comes to Prospect searching for family but she finds_____________. I'll not tell the story read it for yourself. I did not want to put the book down.
A great and magical book. Becca is full of wit, charm and hysterical sarcasm. Rome is in charge of his heart and everything around him, or at least he thinks he is. Full of fun, humor, love and a bit of magic. Great read.
