Imagine finding the love of your life at the age of six.
Bliss Carrington did.
Bliss has known Jimmy Brason since first grade. He took on the role of the big brother Bliss never had, breaking Bliss out of her shy shell, encouraging her to have fun in high school, and pushing her to live her life to the fullest. They have always been friends—until one day, Bliss wanted more. Now seeing women everywhere swooning over Jimmy, head quarterback of the New York Cougars, is enough to drive her to madness.
Jimmy has been in love with Bliss forever, but she doesn’t know and she can never find out. In all the craziness of his fast track to fame and money, Bliss is the one person who has kept him sane. He firmly believes that history repeats itself and with his tainted past, he’s afraid that he’s fated to hurt her if he allows himself to follow his heart.
Bliss has watched Jimmy grow from a boy into a man, and it’s not fair that someone else will get to keep him when she knows in her heart that he only belongs to her.
When they tiptoe on the edge of love, can their friendship remain intact with both of them ignoring the rumblings that’s threatening to explode?
Everything Has Changed is a story of love, loss, and longing for the one you grew up loving.
Mia Kayla is a USA Today Bestselling romance author of hunky heroes and sassy heroines that always get their happily forever afters.
On the weekdays, she can be caught wearing a suit, commuting to her corporate job in downtown Chicago and raising three beautiful munchkins in the suburbs, four if you count the husband. She loves reading about happy endings but has more fun writing them.

This was so sweet! Friends to lovers is one of my favourite tropes and this was good, not at the top of the list but still worth the read. The book volleyed between past and present with the latter making up the majority. Past chapters are hit and miss for me. Sometimes it works and really paints a thorough picture but it also can be a hindrance. In this book the past fell somewhere in between and I think the book could have done without some 'past' scenes.
Bliss and Jimmy both felt the same way but hid it from each other for wholly different reasons. I think what really stood out in this book and drove the story was how realistically bliss's anguish and pain was portrayed over loving someone she felt she could never have. I completely empathized with Bliss. Her longing for Jimmy, her doubts about how he saw her, her internal torment over pursuing other people compared to her overbearing feelings for Jimmy, really came through. I think the portrayal of how emotionally maddening those feelings could be for someone in love with their best friend isn't always explored on a deep level. But I found in this book is was done perfectly and really upped the angst associated with such a situation.
There were a few things that bothered me, though. The writing was a little repetitive in some places, drawing out a scene past its purpose. I felt the pacing could have been tighter, and overall the book needed more polish. For example, there were some threads left open and problems that arose in the story that were never explained or resolved. But the book, despite these issues, was still really good and absorbing. I loved the ending. I thought Jimmy was perfect and really grew into the man he was destined to be. If only we got some chapters in his POV! I felt this book could have been better had we gotten a glimpse inside Jimmy's head. The epilogue was cute and tied up the couple's story well. This wasn't the best friends to lovers but it was still sweet.
Title: everything has changed Series: No Author: Mia Kayla Rating: 2 underwhelming stars POV: First person heroine HEA: Heat/Steam low Triggers? Cliffhanger: . No. Intolerable Heroine .No. Über Douchebagery .No. Taboo Subject Matter .No. Cheating: Love Triangle
This book just wasn't for me. It had most of the things I hate in a romance combined in one book and it really just wasn't romantic to me. I can't stand reading only in the heroines POV if I have to constantly read about her insecurities and how she's been in love with the hero for years. I need the heroes POV too so that I at least know the feelings are reciprocated or that he's going through the same insecurities as her. I HATE reading about virgin heroines, especially if the hero has been sleeping with OW when he's in love with the girl and she still saves herself for him. I don't give a damn what the issue is I just thought he was a weak hero. I love reading about a man who goes after the woman he loves or at least keeps his dick in his pants if he loves her.
I don't particularly enjoy reading about how he dated other women and she actually had to witness him kissing them. It just makes the hero look like a douche for being able to date OW but not go after the one he "loves".
I think what bothered me the most was that in the end after everything he put her through it STILL wasn't him who fought for them. It was her. I was thinking ok, we're at 86% he has to be chasing after her now, right?!
Nope. Like the pathetic loser that she was the heroine is the one that goes to him after he breaks her heart and pushes her away. It was truly pathetic.
I'm sure a lot of people would love this book and not have any issue with the things I mentioned so please don't let this deter you from reading it. It just wasn't for me and I couldn't bring myself to like the hero or get over the fact that the heroine never even TRIED to move on.["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>
I'm feeling generous this past few days cause I've been lucky to catch a drift of good books, when I say good, I mean the kind that wants me to give five damned stars.
Bliss and Jimmy's story was typical friends turned to lovers kind. What made it special for me was when I get to read through their story, it was like watching them grow up somehow I felt connected. There are a books that when you read it, you just click with it. I'll be gushing about the book now.
Well for starters, being in love with a person you've know your whole life was inevitable. Good looks, nice sense of humor, toned body and caring bestfriend, c'mon who wouldn't fall for that! But sometimes I'm wondering if surrendering a long term friendship and gamble to the unknown of stating that you are in fact in love, is worth risk. I don't know, but for me having a permanent way to keep someone close but wanting something more is not a risk I will take.
“It was torture being this close to him, still I wanted to be closer. I wanted to preserve my sanity, yet I yearned for him to press his skin against mine and wrap his arms around me. Only in my dreams.”
Bliss has been in love with Jimmy since they were six. She just doesn't have the courage to tell him. Jimmy on the other hand, has the same feelings for her. Gosh, can anyone be more dumber than the other! Until the day the cat got out of the bag. There was this slim part of the book where I was like a squealing teenager inlove, and then when shit hits the fan, their 17 years of friendship came tumbling down.
Jimmy's daddy issues has been his fear all through out his life and ge didn't want to hurt Bliss because of it. I find this pretty dumb move. But love conquers all odds, wanna know what happened? GO GRAB YOUR OWN COPIES MATES! LOL
You can trust me when i say this book has no cliffhanger, definitely no cheating, HEA and love all the way. Five Jimmy Stars Baby!!!
This one really surprised me. I read it in one sitting, it sucked me in and I couldn't put it down because I needed to know what was happening next.
Bliss and Jimmy have been bestfriends since they were little kids. Now they are both grown up and they are going on with their lives: Bliss is studying to be a lawyer, Jimmy is the NFL's quaterback of the New York Cougars. Even if they don't live in the same place anymore, they have remained friends. Bliss has been in love with Jimmy for years, but she knows this would only ruin their amazing relationship.
The writing was addictive, clear and fluid. I usually don't like when a story continuously switch from present to past, but it didn't bother me at all in this one.
This story was angsty, sometimes frustating, sometimes heartbreaking..and when I reached the end I was like "What?!". I didn't even notice I was already done with it.
I had some issues with this one, but overall I really enjoyed it!
This is a recommended read for everyone who loves a childhood friends to lovers story.

This was an emotional book. It pulled me into Bliss and Jimmy's world from the first page and I couldn't put it down till the last (4:40AM).
Bliss and Jimmy have been best friends since six years old. They lived next door to each other and their mothers were friends from way back. Bliss was studying to be a lawyer and Jimmy was an NFL star quarter back. They continued their friendship faithfully and saw each other regularly. Both had painful issues with their mothers that each had to deal with. They loved each other but never admitted that they where "in Love" with each other. We see the perspective from Bliss's side but you have no doubt how Jimmy feels about Bliss by his actions. The story is their discovery and revelation of how they really are "in Love" with each other.
Okay, the story of Bliss and Jimmy was an emotional one that just gripped you. Their devotion, loyalty, love, caring and faithfulness to each other was a beautiful thing to behold. The story is told in the present but there are flash backs of key moments in their lives together (normally I'm not a big fan of flash backs but this didn't bother me at all in this book it was well done).
Now warning because each doesn't know about the depth of their love Jimmy does have women in his life but it's all superficial. Bliss was too involved with caring for her mother and with attending law school. She had no time for relationships at all or for herself really. There were a few things that bothered me that where predictable but again I have to say the emotional aspect of the book and it's intensity far surpassed all the minor issues.
No, Rhea. This “friends to lovers” thing is totally not your thing. You need to stahp reading those. They drive you crazy. Why do you keep making the same mistake over and over and over? DAFUQ IS WRONG WICHU?
The only reason I picked up this book was because I’ve Mia Kayla’s Marry Me For Money before and while it wasn’t my favorite, it was a pleasant, fluffy read. And I thought maybe this one would be too. And let me say this; Every time I turned a (Kindle) page in this thing, I could feel myself lose a few dozen brain cells. This book was pathetic to the tenth power.
Bliss (Boo) Carrington has been in love with her best friend Jimmy Brason foreva. Except he’s more of the Jimmy Bras Off types. (Brason Bras-off, getit?) He’s a star player for the New York Cougars and womanizing is his thing. He sleeps with whomever he wants, grinds against hot girls in bars, features with models on covers of magazines but he has a secret too.
You guessed it. He’s been in love with Boo foreva too!
This Jimmy guy? Total fail. His character, his opinions, his actions and his thinking process. Total, complete fail. HE FAILS AT FAILING.
Not only is Jimmy controlling, manipulative and a complete douche-bucket, he was also a walking, talking, living, breathing, shitting, peeing cliché. He gets what he wants, when he wants it, how he wants it all because he’s too self-obsessed to worry about anything but himself. And his Boo, of course, but their relationship seemed borderline psychotic to me. Jimmy pushed and hit below the belt and basically bullied Bliss into getting what he wanted. And he fucking got it.
And to talk about supposedly “sassy” Bliss Carrington would be a joke. She’s this formula character that the author thought would work but feel completely flat for me. An absolutely one-dimensional character, with nothing on her mind except Jimmy’s dimples and biceps and to add to that, she had no self-worth at all. The way she caved to Jimmy’s every whim and fancy disappointed me immensely, considering a woman wrote this book.
I did mention in one of my status updates that I was absolutely addicted to the writing but mind you, it was not in the good way. It was like how your eyes are glued to a car wreck even though you know you should look away. I kept reading this book like crazy even though I knew I was going to hate it.
The fact that I completed this book means nothing. I just wanted to see what happened at the end. There was both 0% curiosity and drive to finish the book. It’s just that Id’ read quite a bit already, and I wanted to finish the damn thing.
*I was provided a free ecopy of this book in exchange of an honest review. This did not in any way, however, influence the content of this review.*

This is another case where the book has perfect formula but somehow I just missed it and think that it isn't the one for me, while it has things I usually like.
So Bliss and Jimmy is best friend for forever. But somewhere along the way, Bliss feels something different. She falls in love with Jimmy while he is a I-don't-do-relationship kind of guy. As a famous quarterback, of course there are women around her that makes Bliss feel even more insecure of herself.
From the beginning I can sense that this one is an angsty story. I don't mind angst, I even like it. It's my guilty pleasure. So I really like first couple chapters. I think it captures Bliss feeling for Jimmy well. I feel bad for her when it seems he doesn't see her more than a BFF. And I understand her insecurity. At the same time, I know that Jimmy's feeling is mutual but for some reason he doesn't want her to know it. This causes problems between them. And it goes on and on and on in more than half of the book.
The thing is I can bear and understand their conflict as it can make the drama to the story, and yes the angst that I like. But if it happens more than I can count and it's like they are running in circle, it's frustrating me! Even Bliss feels it too. She tells me herself. There is nothing much in 70% of the story aside that they talking the same things over and over. Reading it is just exhausting.
I also don't like the way Bliss keeps telling the same things over and over. Not just in the way she describes her feeling, it also when she describes something. She sounds like a song in repeat to me. Jimmy isn't much better either. He keeps hurting Bliss while he says that he cares for her. If he cares for her, he won't hurt her all the time and makes her the only one who fights for their love. At this moment, I didn't know which one I most dislike. Bliss who cannot move on and letting him hurt her for countless time or Jimmy who hurt her in most of the story and doesn't have a backbone to pursuit their love?
My excitement to Bliss and Jimmy story soon replace with boredom. And when they finally tell each other feeling, I lost my interest and just want to finish it as soon as I can so that I can move on to another book.

Everything Has Changed is one of those child to lovers romances that I’m a dear sucker for.
Bliss Carrington has always been in love with best friend, Jimmy Brason, since they were very young. Unbeknownst to her though, the feeling is quite mutual.
Years pass, and now Jimmy is now a hotshot football player with a lot of ladies vying for his attention, but too afraid to submit to his true feelings for Bliss.
With other women in the picture, both characters overcoming tough pasts, and lots of ups and downs and heart ache—
What will become of this duo? And will either fight for hope? For change? …For love? Read and you will find out!
#A super cute read, although it did have it’s frustrating times, but over all I did enjoy it! I recommend to all hopeless romantics!!
I won an ARC of this book and I am so Happy I did.
“I finally have everything I ever wanted, and no amount of distance will get between us. I promise.” I saw the conviction and the sincerity in his eyes, and it made my stomach flutter. “You’re my forever girl. You’re the girl who owns my heart.”
Every once in awhile you will come across a book that will capture your heart and not let it go until the absolute very end, and this was definitely the book that did that to me. I absolutely LOVED everything about it. The writing was amazing and captured every emotion that the characters went through. The story flowed beautifully, never a dull moment. I kept wanting more and more. I just couldn't seem to put the book down. It was THAT GOOD! What made this story even more likeable was the fact that we get flashbacks from their past that puts certain scenes into perspective for you. But of course, there are so many things I loved about this book, but my absolute favorite thing were the characters Bliss and Jimmy. They are childhood best friends who always confide in one another. They have been inseparable since childhood. They were always there for one another, no matter the circumstances. As they become older, their paths go in opposite directions, but they still keep there friendship intact. But one day Bliss realizes that what she feels for Jimmy goes beyond friendship, too more. Bliss being afraid to admit her true feelings for her best friend, Jimmy, she hides her feelings and tries her hardest to move on from what she feels will never be. Bliss handles herself very well, whenever she is around Jimmy. She is determined more now than ever to keep her true feelings to herself and poor Jimmy has no freaking clue that his best friend is keeping something very important from him. Oh Jimmy. Open your eyes you sexy man. I love, Love, LOVE Jimmy. Everything about him makes him the ultimate BBF. He is sweet, funny, and oh so sexy. He is completely loyal to those he loves and cares about. What had me falling for him was the way he always looked out for Bliss, he is extremely protective of her. He is always there for her when she needs him. I loved that he had a pet name for her. He calls her Boo. How freaking adorable and hot is that. *Swoon major* They have amazing chemistry that jumps right off the page that you keeps you hoping that moment will come when Bliss finally breaks and admits how she really feels. As the story progresses you start to realize, that maybe just maybe Jimmy feels the same. And if he does, will he break before Bliss does? What will happen to their friendship when all is said and done? Will they be able to move forward? Or will past mistakes keep them from having what they truly want, each other?
I will say this. That ending was perfect for Bliss and Jimmy. When I finished the last chapter my thoughts were, OMG! Freaking Fantastic. *Girly Squeal* Everything I could've asked for and way more. Mia Kayla wrote a Beautiful Ending. But that's not all. We get in Epilogue that finishes Bliss and Jimmy's story. It was so PERFECT! I LOVED IT. They are too cute for words.
For me, this book is about two best friends who realize that no matter where life brings them together or apart, it's about living life to the fullest and not living with regrets. Don't live in the past, the past is just that. Live for the here and now. And most importantly, don't let your past dictate who will be, because you are your own person. You choose your own path, nobody else.
This book is an absolute must read. You will NOT be disappointed. Thank you Mia Kayla for sharing Bliss and Jimmy's story with us. I love them to pieces.
Great story! I was always addicted to friends-to-lovers stories!
I like: 1. I liked Mia Kayla's writing style: she mixed present days and past together, so readers would get how Bliss and Jimmy became best friends and they were always there for each other during their ups and downs.
2. I loved how Bliss and Jimmy needed no verbal communion to knew each other's feelings. And their morning call! So sweet! Their relationship never changed even though they lived far away from each other.
3. Emotional: I got so emotional when Jimmy made the stubborn decision! I almost cried for Bliss because I totally felt for Bliss!
I like less:
1. I NEED EPILOGUE: Since this is just an ARC, I hope the complete edition will add epilogue! They did get HEA in ARC, but I want more! Plz,Mia Kayla, an epilogue will be a plus!
All in all, this is a great story that I would like to recommend to readers who love to read friends-to-lovers stories!
1] You like the friends to lovers trope. 2] You don't mind having past flashbacks in books. 3] You want a medium angst book.
I love the friends to lovers trope. Although this wasn't the best book using that trope, it was a good one. I don't really mind flashbacks, in fact I think they enhance the story, but here some of them felt like a hindrance. This book explored the struggles one faces while being in love with a friend to more depth than most books usually do.
What I did not like was the hero never chased her even though he loved her. Even when we're at the end, its the heroine who is making all the effort. I think this is the first time I'm saying this, but at one point (only that point), the hero absolutely didn't deserve her.
Towards the end I felt the book lost a little bit of momentum, but the ending wrapped it up well. But I needed way more grovelling on the hero's part and way more self control on the heroine's to like it more.
What would you do if you met your "The One" when you were a child ? Could you ever imagine growing up and getting married to them ? When Bliss Carrington was six years old, her family moved back to her mother's hometown and next door to her best friend growing up. Bliss suddenly had a best friend with Jimmy Brason - her mum's friend Claire's son. Over the years through their entire schooling , Jimmy and Bliss were inseparable and they remained best friends through college and shared each other's special moments. Then something changed, Bliss went to New York and thought she would surprise Jimmy but saw him in the arms of a model and they looked rather cosy. Bliss's heart broke and she returned home . The book then jumps to present time and Bliss and her college friend run into Jimmy at a local bar as he's in town. The pair catch up and it's just like old times, though feelings for Bliss have changed and soon everything starts to change as another old school friend Ethan comes back into the picture and asks Bliss out. Is this the push that Jimmy needs to finally realise that Bliss has loved him all these years ? Will Bliss finally tell Jimmy the truth and that she has loved him ever since she was six years old ? If you are a sucker for friends to lovers type stories and true love and everything that goes with it - then check out Everything Has Changed by Mia Kayla today.
Bliss has been in love with Jimmy for years. He has been her best friend since she was 6 years old and somewhere over the years she started to develop feelings for him. Of course, she never wanted to tell him because she didn't want to risk their friendship and she thought there was no way he could ever feel the same way about her. Jimmy and Bliss have incredible chemistry and are truly best friends. This story is told from Bliss's point of view in the present and then switching to the past on occasion. Normally, I get really annoyed when books switch from present to past because it can be hard to follow but in this book, it was perfect. The past chapters really helped to strengthen the bond between these characters and gave a better understanding of their connection. I love a really good friends to lovers story and this is now one of my favorites. I highly recommend this book to anyone who loves a sweet, friends to lovers romance.
This was a gut wrenching ride. It was easy to slip into Bliss, and to share the emotions she felt for Jimmy. It made you love him right along with her, and ache for a relationship that was already so intense and so real, to just make a small move to sweep it into romance. It was so innocent, and yet so intense.
I felt so sorry for poor Evan, because it was so obvious Bliss could never love someone like she did Jimmy. Their family drama helped to explain their hesitancy in taking that step towards becoming lovers, but that didn't make it any easier to accept. The flashbacks helped to build on their epic friendship, and to add to the innocence of their "just friends" relationship.
I found it difficult to put down, finishing it in a single evening. It was definitely worth ignoring the world for just a bit, to see a love like theirs play out. ~ George, 4 stars
Beautiful and Gut wrenching story about two best friends, Bliss and Jimmy. They've been best friends since they were six years old and somewhere along the way Bliss fell madly in love with Jimmy. Jimmy doesn't want a relationship with anyone, in fear of being like his father. The story is beautifully written and hooked me from the beginning!! Definitely a must read!!!
I received an ARC via Netgalley and this is my first ARC that I got approved!
I don't normally read friends turn to lovers story because it's a bit too cliché for me but the summary intrigued me. Fans of this kind of story will love this. My rating is 3.5. 3 for the story and I added a .5 because I adored these characters.
Chapter 1, I was already feeling all sorts of things. I love reading a book where I can connect to the characters to the point where I'm in pain when they're in pain. Sounds a bit weird but I think that's how you know a book is good when the author is able to do that. I was able to relate to Bliss because I've been in her shoes. Falling for your best friend is tough for anyone. It's a heartbreaking and I can relate to her. Her journey with dealing with her feelings for Jimmy was emotional but a bit too repetitive for my taste. It dragged on a bit too much.
I also could relate to Bliss being an introvert because I was quiet like her in high school and I only kept to a certain number of people that I was comfortable with. It was difficult for me to get out of my shell and it was my friends who encouraged me to step out of it, like Jimmy did with her. So I could understand how and why her relationship with him was so important.
I'm really glad Jimmy wasn't like alpha male type of guy seen in most new adult books. Jimmy despite all his internal issues with himself, he's a good guy. He’s so caring. One thing I loved was that he showed her that he was there for her instead of just saying or telling her that. When they would argue, he would just hop on an airplane to go see her and I just like that he physically proved that he cared for her. And I was rooting for Bliss and Jimmy. I really enjoyed their relationship. They were there for each other through the good and bad. I like that Jimmy never pushed Bliss to do anything she was uncomfortable with, but he encouraged her. It's sweet. Knowing how much they've been through, I really wanted them to be together.
I enjoyed the secondary characters. I loved Bliss and her father's relationship, it was beyond beautiful and I also enjoyed her friendship with Kelly. Kelly reminded me of my best friend. I ended up really like Evan because he’s such a sweet guy. I hope he gets his own story. I enjoyed the writing. The changing point of view from past to present was done so well, like reading Bliss at the age of 6 made me feel like I was in the mind of a 6 year old.
One complaint that I would make…
I’m looking forward to reading more from this author. I’m a huge fan of good writing and I see huge potential for more great things by this author. :)
I received an ARC of this book for an honest review. I'm a sucker for a friends to lovers book, I've read many and they always tear me up. This book was no different Bliss Carrington met Jimmy Brason when they both were six years old. Her family had moved back to her mom's hometown and her mom reconnected with her childhood best friend. Who was Jimmy's mom, so right away the families were connected and through that they connected. Now fast forward seventeen years later and they are the best of friends by each other's sides through everything. We meet Bliss while she's trying to distance herself from Jimmy because of her feelings that have come to the surface. Bliss is in law school and Jimmy is the quarterback for the New York Cougars. Through this they've remained friends. We see this through lots of flashbacks blended through things happening in the present. The love Bliss had for Jimmy and the love that was also evident from Jimmy for Bliss. The story unfolds and there friendship gets back on track because she realizes that it's her issue to deal with and no need to ruin the friendship. And this is where we see that the love is mutual on both sides. And this is where I usually get so frustrated in books but not in this one, in this one it just hurt my heart. And it just killed me reading about these two. I just desperately wanted my HEA and just when I thought I was gonna get it it was snatched from my fingers and my heart was shattered to than be put back together. Mia Kayla really put me through the emotional wringer. I loved this book and it reinforced why I love a friends to lovers book. So glad I got to read this
I love when childhood friends fall for each other, its my favorite type of book! I love when it happens, but for some sick reason, I love even more when they hide it from each other and it gets all kinds of juicy and angsty!
Bliss and Jimmy have been friends since they were six, and Bliss was being bullied- little Jimmy stood up for her and the rest is history. I love the story is told in present and in flashbacks, because you get a real sense of their relationship. Bliss has always been a HUGE support to Jimmy and his football career. Even now that he is super famous, he still makes time for Bliss and lets her know she is an incredible support system and he would be lost without her.
I really liked Bliss, I thought she was super cute, definitely sassy, and full of awesome banter with Jimmy. And I enjoyed Jimmy as well, even though he has a skewed view on how love is supposed to work.
Bliss is harboring a huge secret- she is in love with Jimmy. And she watches as he goes through women, always a different one and telling Bliss he will never settle down in a relationship because of what his father did to his mother.
Each character in the story was well written. I really loved that it didn't just focus on the love story aspect, but it had a bit of everything thrown in. Because in addition to love, you need trust and friendship and you need to grow over time as a person, to better yourself- and that is just what they did.
Overall I really enjoyed this story and would definitely read one from Mia Kayla again. I did receive this story in exchange for an honest review.
OMGawd!!!! I FLOVED Everything has changed!! I had to read this book twice just in case I missed something the 1st time I was reading by being so excited and engrossed in this awesomeness!! The whole book had me swiping my kindle like it was on fire. I was up reading until midnight then woke up @ 4am because I HAD to know what "happens next". I was reading in the drive-thru line @ the bank, in line at the grocery store (because I refused to make dinner & bought a frozen lasagna to put in the oven...LOL) I want you to know that I normally cook dinner 5 days a week so me not cooking so I could read is BIG @ my house!! I laughed, I cried and I fell in love reading this book. So much so I had "book hangover". Do not miss this book you will not regret it!!
I was provided an ARC from this wonderful & talented author in exchange for an HONEST review!! Thank you so much Mia Kayla for the opportunity to express my thoughts on this book and for being YOU!!!
Loved this one! A fantastic friends to lovers story that kept me completely entertained from the first page to the last. It's written with stories from the past mixed in with what's happening now and gives great insight into their relationship. Jimmy and Bliss have been best friends since first grade and neither want to do anything that will jeopardize that relationship. But as their feeling for each other grow it's harder and harder to keep everything the same. This is a wonderfully written story and the only thing that would have made it better in my opinion is having some of the story told from Jimmy's POV. I definitely recommend this one.
I finished this book a couple of days ago and am still hungover. This was more than just best friends who want to be lovers story because Bliss and Jimmy were more than just best friends, they were each other's rock and lifeline.
Their connection was so deep, and the longing between them was so palpable I found it hard to breathe at times.
"Jimmy was always my anchor, keeping me steady. Now, that anchor had to lift, so the ship could sail."
The angst and tension mounted with every page, and I couldn't put it down until I finished. Beautiful, flawlessly written story.
Bliss and Jimmy where perfection. I absolutely adored this story. I love how it was told from present to the past. It had everything i love in a good friends to love romance.
I love a friend's to lovers book. This one I couldn't put down. I just wanted to see what happened with these two amazing characters, Jimmy and "Boo". I had to grab the kleenex a couple of times which made this book even more fantastic.
Where do I start with this beautifully written story, there is so much I want to say and not sound like a bubbling mess.
Mia Kayla captured my heart from the moment I started reading. The love these two characters have for each other warmed my heart. She writes this story in a way that you can feel Bliss and Jimmy’s love for one another instantly
The struggles these two go through hand me smiling, sniffling, and messaging Mia insane messages as I read it. Yes, this story pulls at your heart. But the humor Mia laced into this book with Bliss’s love for Channing Tatum and her best friend that always had something to say was just enough to cut the angst for me.
Bliss and Jimmy have been best friends since childhood. They are each other’s rock and would do anything for the other one. I was chuckling at how jealous these two were when the other mentions someone else yet would not give into what they truly wanted. At one point I wanted to growl at Jimmy and tell him to put his big boy panties on and go get his girl! Bliss Carrington is a stunner. She just does not see herself that way. She loves her comfy clothes and doesn’t care what anyone else thinks. She is focused on her school and what will happen once she has graduated law school.
She has always looked forward to her daily chats with Jimmy until recently when she realized that she wanted more with Jimmy. She did not want to risk their friendship but didn’t know how to push him away easily.
Jimmy Brason is mister all American. He is every girls dream guy and who every guy wants to be. He is the start quarter back for the New York Cougars. The only thing is one thing is missing in his life and it is Bliss. He loves her more than anything but is scared to let her know. He cannot live without her in his life
Lord help me this man is so stinking dreamy! When he is not being a stubborn butt! He had me swoon with his affection and love for bliss. He would walk through fire if he had to. The only problem is his inner demons.
He pulled me in at the nape of my neck, and I trembled.
“I’m falling to pieces, Boo,” he whispered, sounding broken.
I blinked a few times, and then I realized I was pressing right on his injured leg. “Sorry.” I adjusted myself, pulling away a little.
“No,” he said, tugging me back. “Here.” He placed my hand on top of his heart, the muscular organ that pumped blood and life throughout his whole body. “I’m falling to pieces, and no doctor can fix it. Only you can. Please make me whole.”
See! That right there had me a swoon mess. Darn you Jimmy! I sniffled!
