Christine can handle dark secrets, but can Cain handle her?

About the author

I have always lived in the deep south, Arkansas, and grew up in a very rural area. Some of that you will see that I have incorporated into my books. I like the small town and rural area feel of things. I am married to a wonderful husband and have four fantastic kids and two rambunctious dogs. My days are busy and hectic because I am a stay-at-home mom, but I love it! Writing is just one of the things I am passionate about! I also love to read and have always enjoyed art.

What I write: a little bit of everything. I love writing about vampires, mafia families, magic, and more! My favorite is writing strong female characters!

I LOVE this book. The prequel introduced us to Cain. This story lets us get more involved with him. And the vamp he likes and my favorite nerd David. Christine, a made / designed vamp. I like her. She does things but for good reasons. ( Trying not to give spoilers. ) David, a nerd and who allows Christine to have snacks from him is smart and good looking. He works hard and is Cain's friend. Cain, ah, Cain. He is the Cain from the bible story. I feel sorry for him. You will too. Revenge for revenges sake,bothers me for him. He tried to be somewhat aloof from people as he has lived a very long time and how would you want, if you had friends or a love, know that they will die and you will still be here. :( What a lonely existence. But it is not all sad and dark. There is humor, love and romance. Some very mild sexual scenes. Works well in the story. Bree Pierce has that ability to draw you into the story and look up at a clock and go... WHAT? It is 4 am?? But it is all good. You can sleep later. I can not wait for the next book. I LOVE Cain and you will too.

This book really suprised me coming from this author. I always love what Bree writes but she hit a different and even better mark with this book. There's the perfect twist to it that makes it where you can't put the book down. Cain is a great, lonely, dark character that you can't help but fall in love with. Christine, well there's nothing like her in other female characters that I have read. She's the perfect match for Cain. Love her attitude and sassy mouth. I would highly recommend this to readers so get it and sit down for a very enjoyable read!

I read the first short introduction to Cain, I loved that one and you will as well, it's included within this book, I just love Bree's style of writing she takes you on a journey, where you become a part of the book and the characters become near and dear to your heart. I just want to hug Cain/Kaine, he's tried his best to stay aloof and away from people. Christine comes into the picture, she's smart sexy and completely badass and breaks through his barriers. She's my fav character. You will definitely enjoy this book. It's a must read.

I previously read the prequel to Cain also included in this story and loved it. This did not disappoint. I love Bree's style of writing. Great new characters to help Cain with his lonely existence. I really like Christine. A strong sassy woman who is perfect for Cain. David is just a lovable geek. Hope there is more from this great new Author

Cain goes back to the beginning of Adam and Eve with Cain and Able. Cain was cursed for killing Able and has to live his life as an immortal. This book tells His story up until current time. He tries to navigate through life not getting close to anyone Until a woman who has a secret comes into his life. The author did a great job with keeping you interested in his story.

Love for Cain and Christine

I loved this book! Cain and Christine are great characters with lots of room to grow for future books. I do have to say, I love Christine a tad bit more than Cain ;) bring on another book by Bred!!!
