Lola Allen is a London based independent author and teacher. Her début novel The Heartless Game is her MA Creative Writing project, and a story that is very close to her heart.

"The issues raised, such as friendship, betrayal and love, are all themes that resonate deeply with me."

Lola passionately believes in creative writing as a tool to expand and educate young minds, and pushes for this in her teaching.

"I believe that words are the best weapons by which we can use to express ourselves. No matter who you are, or where you're from, everyone has a story to tell. "

Lola Allen is at it again with this steamy short, set in an exotic land, and as usual she does not disappoint. Allen sets the stage beautifully and the pages on fire with perfectly flawed characters, Erika and Dwayne as they act in ways—hot ways— that we don’t always expect them to: a trademark of the Lola Allen erotic romance story.

Allen does a masterful job with description and dialogue here again, and her ability to make the her characters strong, yet vulnerable have a way of both driving the narrative forward and pulling you along for the ride. I’ve begun to refer to these pieces as hot tub stories and as a fan Allen’s work, I’d like to see a compilation of her shorts in a hard copy version, one more suitable for the heat and steam than my poor Kindle.
