3.5 star rating - got some back-to-basics ideas from this book

Spotted this vintage book at a thrift store for mere pennies and picked it up. I'm thinking/hoping that its just unfortunately titled... it appears to be a book on how to develop great organizational and leadership habits (which we dearly need in our household) as opposed to merely focusing on a child's grades... I'm not looking to focus on a particular grade point average - I'm looking to help my son focus on executive functioning which in turn would help him succeed in all areas of his life..... we'll see what I get out of this book...

How to Double Your Child's Grades in School is a book that offers studying techniques. Reading, writing, and mathematics are the main pillars of learning anything. If you can break down your assignments into fundamental components, it will allow you to power through your homework with ease.

The techniques presented in the book are applicable in all walks of life. On the other hand, some of the advice refers to handwriting, and I don't know if they still teach that skill. I have been out of formal education for over ten years, so they might now focus on typing alone.

The main gist of the book is a series of exercises and pieces of advice to improve your time management skills. The book suggests the existence of a coach or a parent looking over your shoulder, but I assume that you can read it on your own if you are motivated enough.
