Dreading the prospect of losing her position on the Vampire Committee, Victoria is forced to integrate with the mortal population. She hasn’t stepped outside since her husband died over 40 years ago and the thought of being treated like the 17-year-old she resembles frustrates her. But when she discovers that Ben, her hot & sexy driver’s ed teacher, is blind, she gives into temptation and flirts. She never expects to fall in love.
Ben knows he shouldn’t get involved with Victoria—she’s his student. But something compels him toward her. She makes him feel young, alive, and more importantly, whole.
Victoria would love nothing better than to have Ben as a mate, but fears he wouldn’t want to be blind forever. As she struggles to keep her identity hidden from him, an old acquaintance of Victoria’s turns up and is willing to do anything to win her love, including disposing of her boyfriend.

I really enjoyed this next book in the Bitten By Love Series. This book tells the story of Victoria, a high ranking official in the Vampire world and Ben, her blind driving instructor (But only for the classroom portion of the course, thank goodness). Due to Ben's sight impairment, he doesn't know how old Victoria is. She was turned when she was a teenager and so is destined to go through life looking young. When they first met, she didn't realize he was her instructor and was instantly attracted to him. He smelled wonderful, the way a perfect mate should according to this who'd found their own perfect mate. Until just recently, such things were only a myth. I liked the mystery aspect of the book, as they had to dig for whatever information they could find about perfect mates. Victoria knows Ben is the one for her, but hesitates to turn him because she fears he will be blind for all eternity, just like she looks incredibly young despite being over 300 years old. Ms. McKitrick's writing is filled with emotion that drags you into the story. And even though this is the third book in the series, you don't really have to read the first two to understand the action. But you definitely should read them.
I particularly enjoyed book 3 in the Bitten by Love series. I loved having an older hero and an older heroine (wink-wink). The author delved deeper into vampire politics and the storyline had intriguing depth that was missing from her other books. The secondary characters were meshed into the main storyline and the villain was perfectly slimy! The heat level in the sex scenes was increased expediently. My question is..."Is Perry next?"
Normally, I only like romance novels if they have a paranormal or suspense element. Luckily for me, Blind Temptation had both. The characters are vividly written, and I loved the fact that Ben had a disability. There were some parts of the mythology that took me a while to understand, but I believe that's more a reflection on the fact that I haven't read the first books in the series than McKitrick not being a good writer. I'll definitely be going back and reading the other books!
