When Your Alien Savior Is a Jerk

When I suddenly found myself stranded in an alien forest with a dozen other women looking to me as some sort of leader, all I wanted was for someone far more responsible to come along and save us.

Unfortunately for me, when the gorgeous hunk of lavender alien stepped into our makeshift campsite to save the day, his permanent scowl and dickhead attitude made the whole experience particularly less enjoyable than it could have been. I guess that just means I’ll have to win him over.

This was such a cute story with good spice. I really love the grumpy sunshine trope and this book had a lot of that. I also love the representation of plus size girls in this series, there is not enough of that in romance books. I am going to continue to read the books in this series!

HEA, rom-com, alien worlds and alien mates! And holy spicy sauce! So Jen and a bunch of other beautifully curvy goddess gets taken by horrible blob alien goons and the trash in a planet with sentient ppl of course aliens people! And Jen being her spicy and saucy self says f it we’re gonna make it work, thankfully they land in an alien nature preserve and the alien equivalent of a first ranger for that preserve is our wonderfully emotionally constipated Zel. While you can read this as a standalone I recommend reading book one first, HEA, drama, fated mates? Maybe. Jen is fake it til you make it and the mmc has a stick up butt! I don’t think they’re bad, just hilarious, she is infuriating on purpose and not on purpose and he’s just down right over all of it before he even got the call for clean up and now stuck with not just one annoying lost (creature ) as he put it but 12, but she’s “the ferocious one” I cackled everytime I read that, gotta love an emotionally constipated alien male who couldn’t figure it out til it hits hit in the head and even then it’s a stretch . But in all seriousness he’s a stern, hard working male who is weighed down with a lot to f work and hen helps him learn to trust and delegate some of it. They both can’t get away from each other or off each other’s minds, this book is a wonderful whirlwind of spice, comedy, weirdly stoic and pushy romance and it’s a lovely read

This was an excellent book! I hadn’t read the first book in the series, but I had absolutely no problem following the storyline.

I was a little worried this was going to feel too similar to some of the other books in this genre, but I was pleasantly surprised. This book grabbed me from the very beginning and kept me completely enthralled. I was constantly wanting to know what would happen next, and before I knew it, I was already wishing there was more!

Needless to say, I’ll definitely be going back to read the first book now.

One thing that really bothered me, though, was the slime they spread throughout the forest. Why wasn’t that cleaned up with tech?! 😂 I know, I know - its no tech and pure.🤔 I really hope this gets circled back to in future books because that whole political hogwash was a bunch of crap, and I need answers!

Overall, if you enjoy alien romance, intriguing storylines, and characters you can’t help but fall in love with, please go read this book! Come fall in love with these aliens right along with me. 👽❤️.

The chemistry between the main characters was tense, but in the best way possible. The story was fast and funny and HOT. Too bad Earth men don't come in lavender! It is important to read the first book of the series before diving into this one. It provides the backstory that is important to understand the political dimension in this one. My only wish is that the books were longer as this one left me wanting more of these characters. It was a quick and enjoyable read, full of all the things to love in an enemies-to-lovers story. Can't wait for book 3!.

A cute grumpy x sunshine alien romance with a curvy bad ass as the female lead? Yes please! Jen was awesome to read about. She's a very likeable character and I enjoyed her romance with Zel. Zel himself was also an enjoyable character. At first, it's easy to not really care for him because of his grumpy attitude, but then he really grows on you. I also reallyed learning more of the world. Overall, this was a great second book with some nice spicy scenes.

A fun continuation of the series! Jen takes no crap from anyone, including Zel.

It was really interesting to see more of the world building and politics about this planet and the larger universe. I can already see some future favorite couples developing and I can’t wait for our romance reading cat man next!

Thank you to the author for letting me read this early!

Great second entry in this series! A little more story-heavy than sexy (though there’s plenty of that). I really enjoyed getting to see some of the familiar situations from the first book from a different perspective. Also, a very different romance than the first book. Jen is great and who doesn’t love a jerk who needs to get in touch with his emotions?
