This was a great series. I didn't read the reviews beforehand. I'm glad I didn't, I probably wouldn't have read this series. Sometimes, it takes a while for new books in a series to come out. This would have been worth the wait.
Loved the detail in the movements. GREAT description....I mean there's only so many ways u can describe hard core basic animal primal need. Only so many ways u can draw the alpha for our minds but this chick did a really REALLY good job on the movements. I tend to fast forward through the sex after the initial contact. I want the feelings that it drives in the couple & the plot behind them. But I stayed with each trust on this one lol.....She did a nice job threading the plot. Dragged it out a bit much in some spots but I dug the two perspective POV's. That's the ONLY reason all 3 got 5 stars. But if I could rate her on weather or not WE got to get off as well as Jack & Fiona did, by giving us the big pay off in the end....then I'd give her a NEGATIVE 5!!!! I'm a big fan of writers not scamming us with their ONE story; then hitting us with the "through his or her eyes" POV. I'd rather have it all in one, each taking equal accounts of the same events or taking turns so I really appreciated that in this series. Pissed me off beyond words that I got so caught up in that story & their movements that I bought all three pcs together, running through them in rapid succession. Paying no attention how SHORT they were. Skipped the description, my bad, and just ran with it. This story SHOULD have been ONE novel, start to fucking finish. PERIOD! To pc by pc it was a dirty ploy then purposely leaves u hanging hardcore at the finish line. My guess is so we get so jazzed up by her style that we now will plunge in to her other works while we wait for the big finish to the Midnight series. Guess what? I'm NOT biting. Till I read the last, I'm done with this author. I can see by how she drags out each series that this is her thing. That's cool. Just not my thing. 3, maybe 4...then call it a wrap & move the hell on. As far as the Midnight series goes? If ur that desperate for the pennies that it's that easy to screw over ur loyal fan base then go fuck urself. I'm a sucker & I fell of my own accord but it won't happen again lol My mind can finish the story for me & yum to the possibilities =~}
I love this series and love the volatile relationship between Jack and Fiona. All she wants to do is find who killed her cousin, Ali. Now she is being blackmailed by a DEA agent! But is Jack really the bad guy here or is it his VP, Lou? Can't wait for the next book!!!!!
First...I absolutely love this series...in fact, book 3 was my favorite. I had originally given this 5 stars, but backed down after I read on the author's website that she "shelved" the fourth installment...book three ended with a gun to the head cliff hanger...literally.
Fiona and Jack return in this third book of the series. All same characters return and just continue the story from the previous 2 books. Sex scenes are still hot. Character development spot on. Storyline is good and easy to read. There still is no end in sight to this storyline. Started this series not knowing it was series and then found out it was extended from 3 to 4 books. Actually, these aren't even really books, more like novellas. I like the storyline and the characters but not enough for me to continue on with the last book. I'm afraid that if I purchase the last book, there still won't be an end. I definitely like the author's writing and style but would prefer an HEA in one book instead.
