You can't say you loved a book like this. In fact I nearly put it away for good once or twice. But it needed to be read because it needed to be written.

This is not a story for the faint hearted. The abuse and mistreatment the author suffered at the hands of her father and his girlfriend(s), and the way her mother turned a blind eye is just appalling. I found myself reading and reading, thinking a ray of light or something positive would come through… and the story just kept creeping further and further into darkness. This content was difficult to read . And some of the writing / editing/ spelling/grammar was awkward and a little distracting. But the story is powerful.
