Some books entertain you, some teach you something, and a few manage to do both without making the lesson feel forced. This book does exactly that. What initially feels like a simple, mysterious story gradually becomes a much more meaningful journey about mistakes, guilt, forgiveness, friendship, kindness and learning to become a better person.
The character of Krit particularly stood out to me. His journey is not about suddenly becoming a perfect person. Instead, we see him make a mistake, face the consequences, feel the weight of what he has done, and slowly understand why admitting your mistake and trying to correct it matters. His interactions with the Joker add an interesting layer to the story, especially because the Joker is not merely a mysterious character but becomes almost like a reflection of Koot's own conscience.
I also liked how Rahul and Sona are woven into Krit's journey. Their reactions make the story feel more grounded and show how one person's actions can affect the people around them. The transformation in Krit's behaviour is gradual, which makes it more believable. The trampoline episode was one of my favourite parts. What looks like a simple childhood experience becomes a beautiful metaphor for life- sometimes we rise, sometimes we fall, but learning to maintain our balance is what allows us to keep moving forward. The conversation between Koot and his mother towards the end brings this idea together beautifully.
Another thing I appreciated is that the book doesn't simply say be good. It shows why goodness matters. Krit's decision to return the money, apologise to uncle and then help him turns a moment of guilt into an opportunity for change. The friendship that develops afterwards makes the message even more effective. The writing is simple, accessible and easy to follow, making the book especially suitable for younger readers, while the underlying lessons can also resonate with adults. The illustrations complement the narrative nicely and make the important moments more engaging.
The ending leaves you with a warm thought: life will always have its ups and downs, but maintaining your balance, accepting your mistakes and holding on to your goodness is what truly matters. A wholesome and meaningful read that combines storytelling with life lessons without losing its innocence and warmth.
This is a suspenseful children's story book. The story is about a naughty ten-year-old boy named Krit. I liked the presentation of the book as well as the cover page of the book.
Now, talking about the summary, one day, Krit goes to a village fair. There, Krit and his friend Rahul see a trampoline where children are jumping and bouncing high in the air.
They also see a strange joker who is about four feet tall. He is wearing colourful clothes, has a white face, and a red nose. Krit makes fun of the joker and laughs at him in a cruel way.
Later that night, Krit has to face the result of what he did. The joker comes into Krit's dreams, and Krit's sleep becomes scary and disturbing. A frightening journey begins as Krit sees the joker in his restless dreams.
That's a beautiful story, isn't it! And what happens next, well, through this scary dream, Krit learns an important lesson about being responsible and respecting others.
If i am to talk about the moral lesson, the book clearly teaches us that every action has consequences. It tells young readers that they should always make good choices and should not hurt or make fun of other people.
The book is wonderful! It can also be enjoyed by parents and teachers. A few major themes:- *Consequences of Actions *Respect and Kindness
Trampoline by Khemlata Negi is an adventurous book taking readers on the journey of Krit, A 10 year old Mischievous boy who keeps committing mistakes but one night everything changes when he saw a mysterious joker in his dreams and repents for his mistakes. This book presents us with krit's journey of realising his mistakes and also teaching us to pay attention towards our actions as every action has a consequence too. Negi's wonderful world building and beautiful writing style makes this book a lot more connectable.
One of my favourite aspects of this book was it's realistic storytelling and it's connectable protagonist. Through Krit's story we get to reminscience about our own childhood where we used to be super adventurous and naughty all the time creating chaos in everything we did. The book feels captivating yet engaging making the whole reading experience feel very much relatable.
Overall, Trampoline is a hindi short story inspiring readers to look into their own actions and and to not commit any unnecessary mistakes. Krit's character keeps you hooked throughout the story, transporting you to the world of Adventure, Thrill, Fun, Suspense and Life lessons. In conclusion, I will highly recommend this book to all the children, parents, teachers and adults looking forward to an insightful yet adventurous reading experience!
📌 Trampoline by Khemlata Negi is a simple yet meaningful story that takes readers into the world of ten year old Krit, a playful and mischievous boy who often makes wrong choices without thinking about their consequences. But one night, a mysterious joker enters his dreams and takes him on a frightening journey. The usage of rich and simple language makes it easy for all age groups to understand.
📌 I loved how the story brings out the innocence of childhood through Krit’s character. His stubbornness, his love for the fair, and the little moments with his family reminded me of how we all had our own silly wishes and mischief as children. Reading this book was so much fun. The book is available on Amazon, go grab your copies now.
📌 The mysterious joker was an interesting addition because it brought a little suspense into what might otherwise seem like an ordinary childhood story. Rather than simply telling children what is right and wrong, it allows them to understand these values through Krit’s experiences. I would recommend Trampoline to young readers who enjoy stories with a little mystery, imagination and a meaningful message.
Who doesn’t miss their childhood? The age when there were no deadlines, responsibilities or endless worries just school, homework, playing with friends, summer vacations and, of course, the vacation wala mela! 🎡
Trampoline is a Hindi short story that beautifully brings back the joy and innocence of those childhood mela days. The story follows Krit, a mischievous child who loves playing pranks. During a visit to the mela, he has a fun-filled experience but also learns an important lesson that stays with him.
What I liked is that the story doesn't focus only on the fun and excitement of the mela; it also carries a meaningful message for young readers.
The simple and easy-to-understand Hindi makes it a great read for children. The illustrations placed throughout the story make it even more engaging and can help keep young readers interested.
It can also work wonderfully as a bedtime story, especially for parents looking for short, meaningful stories for their kids. Overall, Trampoline is a refreshing, nostalgic and wholesome little read that takes you back to the carefree days of childhood while leaving you with a valuable lesson. Rating: 4/5
Trampoline is an intriguing story that combines psychological suspense with a meaningful lesson about honesty, responsibility and the consequences of our choices.
What I found interesting is the way the story uses a child's dream to explore something children often struggle to understand: that even seemingly small decisions can have consequences. Krit's journey takes him into an unsettling world where fear becomes a way of confronting the things he would otherwise prefer to ignore.
The mysterious joker adds an eerie element to the narrative, creating curiosity about what Krit will encounter next. At the same time, the story goes beyond suspense to encourage young readers to reflect on their own actions and the importance of making thoughtful choices.
I also like that the book offers an opportunity for conversations between children and adults. Parents and teachers can use stories like this to discuss honesty, accountability and how we respond when we make mistakes, without turning the experience into a lecture.
A promising read for young readers who enjoy a touch of mystery and suspense alongside a lesson that stays with them after the story ends.
There is always something deeply unsettling but profoundly moving about books based on true events and Trampoline by Khemlata Negi carries that distinct weight on every single page. Knowing the author previously wrote a massive bestseller set my expectations high, but this story completely bypassed my expectations and hit me straight in the chest.
The narrative brilliantly captures the sheer, unfiltered innocence of childhood and contrasts it against the heavy, unpredictable realities of life. It isn’t just a simple story instead it feels like an emotional freefall that forces you to confront how quickly a moment of pure, unadulterated joy can pivot into something incredibly complex.
When I finished the last page, I just sat in silence for a long time, trying to process the emotional aftermath. It leaves you with this deep, lingering ache and a sudden, profound appreciation for human resilience. The pacing is relentless and the character arcs feel so vividly real that it is hard to shake them off once you close the book. If you are looking for a Hindi read that is raw, deeply human, this is an absolute must read.
🎡 A little trip down the lanes of childhood, with a lesson hidden between the ups and downs.
Trampoline brings together the nostalgia of childhood melas, a mischievous little boy, and a mysterious Joker to create a story that's both intriguing and meaningful. What begins as a simple tale gradually unfolds into a lesson about honesty, kindness, responsibility, and learning to own up to our mistakes.
What I loved most was how naturally the story delivers its message without losing its innocence. Krit's journey reminds us that growing up isn't about never making mistakes; it's about learning from them and trying to do better. The simple Hindi and lovely illustrations make it an engaging read for young readers, while its message resonates with adults, too. And the trampoline? A sweet little reminder that life has its ups and downs, and finding our balance is what matters. 💛
A nostalgic, wholesome read that makes you miss your childhood mela days while leaving you with something meaningful to carry forward. ✨
Here is an unique story for children with a wonderful writings. This is truely a nice teaching book for kids. Which can change their attitude. Importance of life can be explained to them in a nice way.
It is a simple and sweet read for kids. It is filled with suspense, emotions and imagination skills. The atmosphere is nice and the way Krit realizing his mistake was a nice teaching. It is based on a true story also.
The journey of Krit from being careless and mischievous boy to a responsible one after realizing his mistake was so meaningful.
Some lines from the book ✨️
If you are looking for meaningful childrens book in Hindi for your kid this is the one. Which will help them learn. Its a sweet and thoughtful story book.
🐥It is an inspiring Hindi narrative rooted in real life events, capturing the emotional ups and downs of human resilience. 🐥 Using the metaphor of a trampoline, where falling down only provides the momentum to bounce back higher, the story centers on a relatable protagonist navigating unexpected life challenges, emotional setbacks, and personal hardships. 🐥Rather than surrendering to despair, the central character learns to harness internal strength, turning adversity into a stepping stone toward personal growth and self discovery. 🐥It weaves a deeply touching storyline filled with authentic human emotions, vulnerable relationships, and grounded life lessons. The characters feel remarkably genuine, reflecting the quiet struggles and silent triumphs of everyday people. 🐥 The author’s expressive Hindi prose captures the delicate balance between suffering and hope, delivering a powerful message that every setback in life is merely a setup for a higher bounce.
A childhood mela, a mischievous little boy and a mysterious Joker all combined; Trampoline started with a simple story that slowly turned into something more meaningful. The story followed Krit, whose careless choices landed him in a situation where he had to face the consequences of his actions. The mysterious Joker added an interesting twist and made Krit look at his own mistakes differently.
What I liked most was Krit’s transformation. He didn't suddenly become perfect, he learnt through his mistakes, about honesty, responsibility, kindness and the importance of making things right. And the trampoline felt like more than just part of the mela. It became a small metaphor for life, 'we fall, we get back up, and we learn to keep our balance.'
The simple Hindi, illustrations and short storyline made it a lovely read for children, while the message worked for adults too. A nostalgic little story with a meaningful lesson about choices, consequences and growing up.

Trampoline is a heartfelt story inspired by a real incident, and that element itself makes the book feel more meaningful. What caught my attention was how an ordinary-looking moment can turn into a story filled with emotions, courage and life lessons. The book seems to have a simple yet engaging narrative, with a strong focus on the experiences of its characters. I especially liked the idea of presenting a real-life incident in the form of a story, making it easier to connect with the emotions behind it.
A lovely book that teaches kids two valuable lessons-never to cheat and never to feel disheartened during difficult times. I especially liked the way the trampoline is used as an example: if you go too high too quickly, coming back down is inevitable too. It’s a simple yet meaningful way to explain an important life lesson to children.
The language is easy, kid friendly and age-appropriate, making it a great read for young kids. My 5-year-old daughter really enjoyed the book and was able to understand most of it independently.
Trampoline is a short, sweet and meaningful read that follows 10-year-old Krit, a mischievous boy who learns some important life lessons through a mysterious joker appearing in his dreams.
I loved how the story blends suspense, fear and self-discovery while highlighting the importance of honesty, responsibility and making the right choices. Krit’s transformation from a careless boy to a more sensible person makes the story especially heartwarming.
A simple yet thoughtful read that I’d recommend to children, parents and teachers.
A short story of a child who is arogant. He feels he is smart enough to fool anyone. But later he learned a lesson which he never forgets. Overall awesome read. We can tell this story to our kids so they will get value education from it.
