Alyssa failed at being a waitress, and there was nothing left on Earth for her — literally. So when the opportunity of a lifetime came to become a mail order bride for a man from a female-lacking alien race, she jumped at the chance.
Jumping into a marriage with a well-built seven foot tall was one thing. They might meet the technical requirements to get married, but would they be physically compatible — both in terms of chemistry and getting the massive Tab A into her smaller Slot B? And most of all, did she dare to risk her heart to that universal thing called love?
Mail Order Bride: Alyssa is a short & spicy sci-fi romance in the Love Across the Universe series. It is a 11,000 word stand-alone story, perfect for reading at a trip to the park!
It is exactly what the inside cover says it is.... Unfortunately, that is it, though. I would have given 4 stars, but the main female seems so stupid, as in she didn't do ANY research about the planet, the people, the customs, etc. Nothing! She just assumes the whole planet doesn't have anything for women, clothes, lingerie, makeup, etc, since there aren't many females of their own species, anymore. However, it doesn't mean there aren't stores for females. They want to keep their women, so I'm sure they have stores. Lol. It's a quick read & for over 18yrs old.
Alyssa goes to another planet as a bride where there are not enough women for the men. She marries Brex, a farmer/rancher. Thus they begin their marriage.
This is a short book that covers the first two days of their marriage. They are getting to know one another and making mistakes as they try to figure it all out. Their sex life is moving along.
This sets up the series but I hope the other stories have more to them. This was sparse on story.
She, a virgin, steps through a worm hole and travels to another planet to become a mail-order bride to a very large male with a very large cock. They have sex. She doesn’t get off. The next day they have sex again, and she does. The end.
This was a great story. I would def recommend this to everyone I know and can think of. I would def give this a 10 stars, and would love to read more if you books and review them for you.
There was absolutely nothing to hold on to here. This story was told from the main female character's point of view and it was as flat as an interstate highway. The monotone narration was boring. The main male character had very little to say that added to or advanced the story. Every other sentence was about his virginity or hers, which clearly was not evident during their initial or subsequent sexual encounter. Two stars for the cover art, which was hot!
I love that this sort of thing exists. And part of me was really surprised when I put "Alien mail Order Bride" into the GR search box, and I actually got 35 results. But then again, I'm not really *that* surprised...
Anyways, this was a cute story. Definitely short, so I was able to read this and its companion (Alien mail Order Bride: Brandy) in less than an hour. I'd love for them to be longer - to see more of the developing relationship. The concept is both hilarious and fascinating.
And hopefully the third woman (Celia, I think?) will get her own story as well.
It was a quick and ok read. I liked the premise but there wasn't a lot of character development. The sex scenes left a lot to be desired and were over before they barely began. I think this story could have been improved very easily with a little story development.
