Contaminated Roots As Apple and Kola try to retire from the game, lingering feuds put them back to work. Before they can experience life without tragedy, they both have unfinished business to settle.
Hiding in plain sight while exterminating their enemies, they realize they will never have any peace until they eliminate the man they once called Daddy.
Nisa Santiago came bursting onto the literary scene in 2009 with her debut title, Cartier Cartel. The book garnered rave reviews and left her readers wanting more. She followed up with the sequel, Return of the Cartier Cartel – which turned into a national bestseller. The Library Journal declared that Santiago’s sequel, [Return of the Cartier Cartel] “Will keep readers hooked to the last chapter.”
Born and raised in Brooklyn, and now living in Harlem, the author is moving at full speed with her writing endeavors. Coined the Duchess of Hop-Hip lit, Santiago humbly admits, “I’m just grateful to be doing what I love as a career and not just a hobby.”
Her latest novel, Bad Apple – The Baddest Chick is slated for an October 2011 release date. The author emphatically states that her decision to start a new series instead of penning part 3 to Cartier Cartel was a brave one. “My readers love Cartier and they wanted more.” Santiago wants her readers to know that she has so many stories to tell and shows no signs of slowing down. Dirty Money Honey is an anthology with her peers, Erica Hilton and Kim K., Melodrama Publishing’s new trinity of authors.
I liked the maturity & growth of the chicks that was shown throughout as the twins evolved from teenage menaces, Queenpins, gangstress & everything in between to mothers. I was surprised at Ana's treacherous actions! Mack D & Jamel were also least favorite characters. This series was captivating from book 1 till now & I hated to see it wind down. Storyline stayed on point as each chapter brought more drama! Kudos to Nisa Santiago for writing such a fascinating series as Apple & Kola definitely proved they were the baddest chicks!
This book was great. All the gangsta stuff and all the deception was out of control. The twins Jamal and Kamal were so different just like Apple and Kola. I’m so happy that Peaches was found and she was reunited with her mom.
The reason why Apple can’t find true love is because she too busy tripping over what Kola got. I knew Apple and Jamal were very toxic together it showed when Jamel was caught sleeping with Ana their fake sister. The drugs played a lot in Jamal and Ana demise.
Now Kola and Kamal were definitely a match made for love. They loved and they loved hard. Kamel really tried to keep his twin out off trouble but he keep doing what he wanted and he got eliminated quick.
I’m just happy that Kamal and Kola had their happy ever after. Eduardo is still there because of the children that’s the catch because wanna keep his eyes on Kola.
Great story I really like this book the best so far . Now on to the next book….
All were amazing reads. I have been working on my master’s for quite some time; I hadn’t been able to read a novel in years. Just say I read all six books in six weeks while still working on my Master’s in between. I can’t wait to read the next series. I am in love with Nisa Santiago!
Lord I tell you Nisa you had my head spinning. I’m telling you it gets better and better within every book.I can’t believe how Jamel is smh he definitely deserved what happen to his ass. And it was definitely disgusting what happen between him and Ana. Ana was stupid I swear smh I’m so glad that Kola and Apple got that ass for sure. I want me a man like Kamel for sure. I can’t wait until tomorrow so I can get the last book for this series at the moment. I’m happy that Apple and Kola are in a good place.
I really thought this series was going to continue on and on. Apple and Kola fighting and reuniting. But, it's actually over. For now. It had a satisfying ending. They both remained intact. Although I'm not too sure I would care if Apple didn't. Kamel and Jamel were polar opposites with no nuances. I guess that's the way it had to be. The (brief) introduction of Ana to bring a little chaos into the mix was unnecessary... This was an entertaining read. But I didn't see a difference between this one and the ones in the series that I read prior. I do think the series started off strong and waned. 2.5 stars.
I am finished reading about Kola, Apple, Kamel & Jamel. Kamel & Kola were married but, Eduardo is still a part of them. Jamel was killed and needed to be. He had lost his mind. Stone cold killer and the drugs did'nt help him. I'm not sure what will become of Apple. Maybe she will eventually find true happiness. At least she has her daughter, Peaches in her life.
Is this finally the happily ever after. These twins done been thru some things I can't think what else can be next. Columbians are not deal makers dude wrong move but I pray for the families happiness.
I liked how this book picked up where the others left off. Apple and Kola join forces to go up against the drug Kingpin Mack D. Kamel and Jamel are still total opposites and want different things for their future.
So Satisfied.! I Wish Apple Could Have Ended With Love To But Hey They Happy So I'm Happy.! Still #TeamCokaKola Tho
5 stars I have read every book and am satisfied with start to finish Nisa Santiago always leaves me looking wanting needing more.! I love this series the most.!
So, I can look for a Book 7, huh? ... Good! I would definitely like to see Eduardo get his in the end ... I know he is in prison but he still needs his just desserts! Awesome series! I have really enjoyed it!!!
What a crazy series loved it until the end don't worry no spoilers but dam the things that apple and kola go through on a daily is nuts and has you to the very ending..Love me some apple and kola
