Parallel Realities Kola and Peaches palace lifestyle in Colombia comes crashing down when the Federales kick in Eduardo's front door. Forced to flee South America with her niece and return to New York, Kola feels lost without her twin sister. Things begin to turn around for Kola when she meets an ambitious hustler named Twin who wants her to play wifey as he plays daddy to Peaches.
Back from the dead, Apple is hiding out in Baltimore trying to make a come up. Without family or friends, she spends her days plotting on how to regain what she's lost. Not one to go without a thug in her bed for long, Apple hooks up with a young goon named Twin who reminds her of her first love, Cross.
With the sisters living in different states and seemingly in love with the same dude, Harlem won't be able to withstand the bloodshed if Apple and Kola wage another war against each other, once again in the name of love.
Nisa Santiago came bursting onto the literary scene in 2009 with her debut title, Cartier Cartel. The book garnered rave reviews and left her readers wanting more. She followed up with the sequel, Return of the Cartier Cartel – which turned into a national bestseller. The Library Journal declared that Santiago’s sequel, [Return of the Cartier Cartel] “Will keep readers hooked to the last chapter.”
Born and raised in Brooklyn, and now living in Harlem, the author is moving at full speed with her writing endeavors. Coined the Duchess of Hop-Hip lit, Santiago humbly admits, “I’m just grateful to be doing what I love as a career and not just a hobby.”
Her latest novel, Bad Apple – The Baddest Chick is slated for an October 2011 release date. The author emphatically states that her decision to start a new series instead of penning part 3 to Cartier Cartel was a brave one. “My readers love Cartier and they wanted more.” Santiago wants her readers to know that she has so many stories to tell and shows no signs of slowing down. Dirty Money Honey is an anthology with her peers, Erica Hilton and Kim K., Melodrama Publishing’s new trinity of authors.
Remarkable...That's the first word that comes to my mind after I read another part of the Baddest Chick saga...Part 5-On the Run was the latest addition to this unable to put down series. I've been #teamKola since the beginning although I must admit Apple has plenty of unforgettable tricks up her sleeve. These twins have been through so much it's amazing they still breathe...Once again, Nisa Santiago has left my mouth agape with the ending while awaiting the next book to drop...Highly recommended series!
Apple found her sister kola. I thought it was going good but their stupid boyfriends want kill their father's son. I hope Mack d don't kill his own daughters. I can't wait for part 6
This book was straight fire once again. Nisa Santiago don’t play no games when she writes her book. These sisters went to hell and high water to get back to where wanted to be which was New York. I was so shocked to see peaches with Kola let’s just say it was a sweet part of the book. What is it a coincidence that he twins would find love and find out how they did. They had to get to k is each other once again baby it’s on a popping. Let’s just say that ending was crazy but I kinda figured out who he was I the story. Now on to the next book Unfinished Business .
Well Well Well , I have been waiting for this series to continue for the longest. I was always wondering what was the authors intent after that big spoiler in the Cartier Cartel series. Back to present, where we find that Apple is very much alive and living a very low key lifestyle. Gone are the days of flossing as she is reduced to working two full time jobs to make it. As she goes through this humbling process , her thoughts never stray from reuniting with her daughter Peaches and even Kola surprisingly. Where as Kola is living it up in Columbia being Eduardo's woman. That title comes with expensive shopping sprees and an over bearing dark cloak of possessiveness Soon, both twins will face the same predicament as they hit rock bottom. Will they come out on top against all odds or will their sibling rivalry stand in the way as their paths cross unexpectedly. Well read and find out. I'm always happy with the editing. I was a tad disappointed that the sisters were reduced to a crippling point of weakness and extreme vulnerability. I was so used to them being the top guns in the past books. Nevertheless, keeping up with these twins on the run is never a dull moment. As rage, revenge ,love and undiscovered family secrets come into the mix.
This book was terrible! The worst in the series. The writing was poor and the storyline was just garbage. This series just needs to end. I can't believe this is what I was waiting on. Hardly any good drama at all. I won't be buying the next book. I'm done.
Yasssss another BANGER. Nisa has done it again never saw the moment getting closer to the end nor did I see the end revealing what it did. Come March 15 I need the next one
This book was nothing short than an amazing rollercoaster ride and I enjoyed every word! I was happy that "The Girls" reunited ! I assumed from the start that "Twin" was actually a twin . .. You really had me going for a minute though ... Lol!!! I would have never guessed that ending in a million years! There's no time to waste; onto the next book!!! GREAT SERIES!!!
Nisa! You are wrong for this...and I’m talking about that “family reunion”! Like my mind is blown. Who would have thought? And let’s not even talk about that light bulb/duh moment that every reader will experience when you reveal that “twist” because of how obvious the hint was...literally right in our face the whole time. I do not think they have any more enemies at this point so now ima read Unfinished Business (part 6) to see how this family reunion about to go.
Nisa Santiago always captures me instantly. This one did not disappoint. It had been a while since I had read about the twins but by page three I was already back in their crazy worlds. Can't wait to finish the series and see what ultimately happens to them.
Miss Santiago you have done it again.Damn I wasn't expecting all the twist and turns that we received in the book.I can't believe how Eduaro was living his secret life wth.Im shocked Kola didn't kill his ass.But I commend Kola for wat she did as a women.Wow Maria and Marisol are so stupid I wish my sister and I would share lol.Wow Apple stepped up and was doing good for herself.Damn that drama with Kola,Maria and Marisol was super crazy but I give it to her about being a mother.Twin was ruthless but was nothing like Apple is use to.Dang I wasn't expecting some more twins lol.Dang that ending wasn't wat I expected at all.I so can wait for part 6 to come out
Not very good. I love the other books in the series, but this was poorly written. I feel like the author just rushed through with this & wrote it in a few weeks. This book didn't have the thrill or drama that the other books had. Little too boring for me, & not to mention, the storyline was all over the place. Wasn't good at all.
I feel like Kola lost her edge, all that time being in Columbia being spoiled dulled her senses. I am glad her and Apple ended up in the same place and I knew Twin had a twin just because the explanation he gave Apple made no sense and he is scandalous. Let's see what kind of drama is on board with the girls knowing D. What a major twist!
I knew Apple, Cartier & Citi weren't dead. They did a good job of faking. Paid off a coroner. Who would have thought. I'm happy the sisters reunited. The killer is they are dating twins, Kamel & Jamel ( the evil twin who did the unthinkable). I am enjoying this series. Apple reunited with her daughter whom she has'nt seen since birth.
I read this book in one day. It kept me engrossed from the first page. I liked the twist of twins dating twins. I am glad that the sisters were reunited. Can't wait for the next installment
This book was CRAZY...like nisa has did it a freaking gain....it was so many turns and twist in this book it's crazy....and the end will leave you like SERIOUSLY THOUGH!!!!! Part 6 better drop in like the next 6-7 month.....lol that's all the time I'm giving u lol
