The story was good

Charisma was born into a toxic and chaotic environment. With a mother and grandmother who only showed her how to finesse men, she was left with few options, but to be the best midnight ballerina she could be! She wants so much more for her life but doesn't know anything else. She keeps her faith and believes that God will save her one day. When the one person she trusted betrays her, she is devastated and realizes that she was truly alone in the world. 💔🥹
Kalm, who was anything but, took his big brother responsibilities to heart, doing all he could to take care of his siblings. With his boxing career taking off, he was able to financially support them all, but it didn't come without challenges. On a routine stop for gas, he finds the ray of light he needed.
When Kalm and Charisma meet there is flirty banter, however, she is distracted by her current situation. Fate brings them together again when Charisma is out of options and finds herself right at Kalm's doorstep. Being the protector that he is, he jumps in to assist, while trying to help change her circumstances. They quickly become each other's better half. Charisma allows Kalm room to be vulnerable and space to find peace in his life. Kalm offers Charisma safety, protection, and family when she needed it most. They became everything the other person needed while love was blossoming. Cute read. 👍🏿👍🏿

I really enjoyed this story. Charisma and Kalm were both independent and headstrong characters, but thankfully, not in a way that became frustrating. I loved the reciprocity in their relationship. There was never a point where things felt imbalanced. When they each needed someone in their corner to support and pour into them, the other was able to do that effortlessly.
I also adored the playfulness between them. They both carried some heavy weights, so seeing them have fun together really showcased the emotional safety of their relationship. And I loved how protective they both were of Oasis.
There wasn’t much buildup to the romantic shift, so it did feel a bit abrupt, but I enjoyed their dynamic enough that it still worked for me.
There was some tension from outside characters, but thankfully, none between the couple, and even that conflict was handled pretty quickly. There were also some faith-based elements woven into their relationship and the story. I thought they were handled well and never felt overly preachy, but if faith-based themes aren’t your thing, that’s something to keep in mind.
Overall, I really enjoyed the dynamic between Charisma and Kalm. Their relationship felt supportive, playful, and mutually fulfilling, and that made this an enjoyable read for me.

So, one thing I’m gonna say is Kalm is the true definition of a PROTECTOR! 😭🫶🏽 I absolutely loved the way he loved and protected Charisma. The way he made sure she felt safe, loved, and cared for🥹❤️
I also loved how Charisma and Kalm became each other’s safe place. Their connection was everything! They were able to find comfort, love, and peace in each other, and I just ate that up! 😭
Overall, this was such a GOOD book! I just wish my girl Faith J. would’ve made it longer because I was NOT ready for it to end! 😂😭 I needed more Kalm and Charisma! Give me another 200 pages, PLEASE! 🥹🫶🏽

Read this book
Listen, this book is real real!! Charisma is an exotic dancer who’s had a hard life. She is robbed by someone who she trusted and who she considered a friend. She meets Kalm on a day he received some traumatic news. She brightens his day even when her day is nothing to brag about. They go their separate ways but somehow they meet again. Kalm helps her out and she confides in him. He convinces her to stay in his home. Y’all Kalm is unhinged. His name doesn’t describe his true personality and he don’t play about Charisma. He shows her that he’s trustworthy and not just someone who’s trying to use her. He gives her a home, stability and family. Don’t get it twisted y’all, Charisma is just as unhinged as her man but together they bring softness out of each other. I loved their story. While their life experiences broke my heart, their connection mended all the cracks. I loved it.

🥰 Kalm and Charisma
Who doesn’t love a sports romance? Mix that with a midnight ballerina who has hands and will read you for filth but loves hard and you’ll have Nobody Praying for Me.
Although Kalm is a terror in the boxing ring he’s the glue that’s keeping his family together. He loves extremely hard and is very protective.
Charisma never really knew love. The one person who she thought was in her corner betrayed her in the worst way. She was at the end of her rope but refused to give up.
This was such a sweet story of two souls that just needed each other.
Definitely recommend reading this and feeling the love.
*side note When good Sis smacked the rudeness out of the lil girl, her momma, and her sister I cackled!!🤭

Don't you just love a good sports romance? I do, and this one doesn't disappoint. Kalm, Kaos, and Ocean were siblings who lost their parents in a car accident. Kalm, being the oldest, was tasked with taking care of them. On the worst day of his life, he meets Charisma which is also the worst day/days in her life. She is beautiful and sad. He wants to help and protect her instantly.
They engage in friendly banter, and go about their way. Later that day after tossing and turning, Kalm decides to go for a run and runs right into Charisma. The rest as they say is history.
This is a beautiful, warm-hearted story.

I really enjoyed this quick read! 📖💕 Kalm and Charisma’s story was about two people who met at a time when they both needed peace and some good things to finally come their way. 🙏🏽✨
Kalm showed Charisma that she was worthy of being loved and protected, while Charisma showed Kalm that he had someone he could count on to pray for him, have his back, and extend that same love and support to his siblings. ❤️🤞🏽
