V2 IS PACKED WITH MORE PASSION, MORE PAIN, AND MORE POWER!
The Bell sisters are back…with drama in tow!
Coming off the end of There’s Power in the V…a bomb was dropped. Now, here lies the aftermath.
Val is finally living life – the one she never imagined but somehow is more content than ever in. Still beautiful, still ambitious, and still…self-destructive. After all it took to arrive at happily ever after, will she be able to keep it? Or is it impossible for her to love anyone as much as she loves herself?
Vickie has bounced back quite well. Adjusting to new imperfections, she is moving through her weaknesses and relishing the second chance at life. When a new friend comes to surface around the same time her past catches up to her, what will happen? Especially when the truth is unveiled.
V2: More Power takes you deeper into the lives of the renowned Bell sisters as they journey through experiences of passion, hardships, secrets, and deceptions. In the end, we will finally get the answer to the question left burning in our minds from the previous installment... How much Power does the V truly hold?

Takerra Allen can do no wrong! This follow-up to book one was just as good! A lot of juicy drama and a lot of real intense love. I love the way things played out for everyone. I'd love to read a spinoff with Vickies girls all grown up because baaaaabyyyyy Trixie is Vickie reincarnated times ten!
Takerra or (“KeKe”) as I call her, is the Exemplar..... for urban lit......I have always wondered what happen to the Sisters of the V, but did not think we were getting another glimpse into their world. I was overjoyed when KeKe announced she was doing a book 2. Nowwwwww... V to the 2nd Power was so very damn good.... It was a wonderful follow-up to the great 1st installment. I was one of the people who was on the fence with Trent.. I was so darn mad that he would leave those girls... so darn pissed that he would not fight harder to get back to them... but I must say Ms. Allen gave him just the right amount of PAIN.... that I am now once again a Trent Davis fan... I was very pleased that KeKe gave us some of their back story. It allowed me to see the tether of their love and strength of their foundation. It also helped me to understand the roots of Vickie’s love for Trent could never be extirpated. Valllll, Valllll, Vallll lord she worked my nervessss in this book. I won’t say any more, but she did get better... but woooo..... I have loved Lazo since book 1. He is one of my book Baes’.... and I have many.. Lol... he loved his bougie princess no matter what and that just made me love him even more. I could easily see this and most of KeKe's work going to the big screen or cable tv.. It is that Gritty and Real.... I was pleased with the ending... I was pleased with the appearance of another of my book loves.... and I am sure He has told KeKe he wants his family back so she will be getting to that.. hint hint....(smile).What more can I say, V to the 2nd Power was emotional, exciting and engrossing. It had me vexed as hell at some parts, crying like a baby at others. You will love it if you are a V fan or a Takerra Allen fan or just a fan of great Urban Romance Literature... there is really no way to label it. Just READ IT!!!... Magnificent Job Takerra “aka KeKe” Allen
In this book, we get to see the dust settling around all the decisions everyone has made. The beginning takes us back to Vickie as a young girl, crazy in love with bad boy Trent. She was underage but promised him she’d save herself for him and she did. This couple went through it. Trent made some of THE DUMBEST decisions known to man but Takerra penned him in a way that you couldn’t help but root for him to get his family back. They belonged together. You can literally feel it.
Valerie Bell. The most exhausting Bell sister. I loved how Alazo burst her bubble and brought her back down to Earth. She was spoiled, selfish, self absorbed. I’m proud of her growth and I’m glad she got it together before she lost her person.
I was happy that Quicha got her sincere apology from Val. Whether her and Alazo’s relationship had run its course or not - she had been a close family friend. When it came to Qui being with Lazo, it felt like people attacked her appearance a lot like she wasn’t “fit” to be the handsome Alazo’s woman. You could tell she loved him but he just didn’t feel the same. He and Val had always secretly crushed on each other. And that’s fine but Val could have handled that with a lot more tact.
I really enjoyed getting to know the Bell sisters and the men that loved them ❤️
Takerra Allen was in total BEAST Mode when writing V2.... This book had me literally LAUGHING OUT LOUD!
Calm cool collected (when he is not pushed) Lazo Moore is back & on a mission to get out the game, keep his women and kids happy; but unexpected events occur so there is a change in plans. Alazo was all alpha male, he had me all in my feelings. Gorgeous educated snobbish Valerie Bell is still selfish Valerie, but you gotta love her anyway; she just need a good reality check. Vickie Bell is still mourning the loss of her one and only love Trent Davis, but her feisty personality is back and I just love it. She is attempting to get her life back together slowly and a new friend might be what the doctor ordered or not. Trent Davis is back and will do whatever it takes to have his family back.
This book had me on edge the entire time. The scenes with Trent and Vickie interacting are hilarious, priceless and sometimes emotional. But Lazo get the best actor award ohhhhhh yeah he shows his ass in this book (blushing)
WOW....Takerra Allen went all in with this sequel. This is by far the best book I have read this year. WOW.....
This book will make you laugh...laugh, cry, laugh...bust a gut.... laugh, cry and most importantly CLUTCH your pearls.....
I am partial to the V's but I must admit I was happy to see that Takerra didn't make life easy for them. Each girl had their own strength and weaknesses along with their own pitfalls and triumphs.
I love a good down to earth, realistic page turner, this book had some really happy times and some really rough times. Wow did she dig deep to touch me with each character's life.
I am still #teamlazo but Trent... oh boy did Trent make me fall deeper in love with him. I liked him in book 1 (There's Power in the V) but wow, Takerra made me love his crazy butt to infinity.
I am trying to be vague because I hate spoilers.... GO Read it!!!
This series gave everything it was supposed to give. I laughed, I cried, I complained about every single character in these books. But that's what you're supposed to do when the author penned the hell out of the story!! The Bell sister were like my sisters, funny and relatable. I hated both Trent and Alonzo, and that's really all I have to say about that. This story was exactly what I needed! The writing was impeccable and I felt the emotions on every single page. This is how you write a good book!!!
I WILL NEVER START A GOOD BOOK WHEN I AM IN THE PROCESS OF MOVING, UGH! THIS WAS TORTURE TO READ IN LITTLE SNIPPETS! So glad I finally got to finish reading it. Engaging, well written story as usual from Ms. Allen. Now where's my Alazo?!
Through the ups and downs love will always find it's way back to the heart. This book was really good, Val got on my nerves because she was so insincere about holding on to Alazo , wow she just couldn't accept the fact that she had a good man. Vicki and Trent had to work out a lot of issue to their marriage back on track, but overall I enjoyed every single characters in this book. Well written.
I wish I could give this series more than 5 stars!!!..This was a series way beyond my expectations!!…There was a lot of love, a lot of confusion, a lot of heartbreak and loss!!… Veronica was the angel that carried the Bell Sisters and their mother!!!… I can appreciate everything that went into this series and I’m sure the emotions!!!… Val was a soul that needed a lot of coddling and I understood that on the outside she appeared to be so secure and bougie, but she was like every other woman that needed validation, security, values and loved!!!…I can appreciate her not settling after leaving that marriage of hers!!!… I love me some Victoria and I was so happy to see the healing she did to come back better than she was when she thought she lost her husband!!!… Her honesty in not being ready to move on spk volumes about where she was and how deep their love went!!!…But she was willing to try and enjoy herself and open herself up to something new!!!… Trixie was her mother and although sometimes a bit feisty, still a child at heart!!!… I was happy to know that Trent was finally being reunited with his family in the states and Vickie was not allowing that reunification to be simple or easy!!!…Allowing himself to be vulnerable with Vickie was a definite show of strength and I was glad to see it!!!…Knowing when to walk and when to stay was a show of his maturity too!!!… Alazo was a mess and I love it!!!…Rubbing the mixture of Val and his fluids on Terrance face was hilarious!!!…His and Val’s relationship was a one of challenges, but a beautiful one and I was glad that she finally spk from her heart and not her surface!!!…
Some books are good, some are great, but this book? It was an experience. Raw, real, and unapologetically emotional, this series gripped my heart from the very first chapter and didn’t let go until the last page.
Takerra and her pen game takes you through the highs and lows of life, love, and everything in between. These characters were so well-written (what else do you expect from TA) they feel like old friends—flawed, funny, messy, and heartbreakingly human. They made me laugh out loud many times, only to have me sobbing uncontrollably mere pages later.
The journey wasn’t always easy—there were moments where the pain and vulnerability felt almost too much to bear. Yet, the honesty in those moments made the joy, the triumphs, and ultimately the love shine even brighter.
And that ending? It was everything I could have hoped for. A perfect, deeply satisfying conclusion that left me smiling through my tears. It wasn’t just happy—it was earned. The kind of ending that reminds you why you pick up books in the first place: to feel something real.
This book gave me all the feels—the laughter, the tears, the hope—and I can’t stop thinking about it.
TA was a new to me author a few months ago and she is slowly but surely making her way to the top spot of my favs list.
Oh how I enjoyed reading about Val, Alazo, Vickie & Trent. It was such a great read! There was just enough romance, fire, suspense, and all that goes along with living the life they lived and escaped from. Val finally matured. I laughed, felt sorry for Quisha, thought a couple of times they wouldn't make it. Got mad when Donny turned out to be a fraud, loved when Alazo took control and put Val in her place. It was just a great storyline. I truly recommend this book but only if you can handle it some parts are 🔥! I will definitely be reading more from Ms. Allen in future!
Takerra took her time with this one. I couldn’t relax which meant she did her job. The build up was torturous but in a good way once it all came together. The only left unknown is Donny. I was confident he would be dealt once his true identity was exposed. If we shall hear from these folks again, I’m going to need Val to putting her chasing shoes on for Lazo like she’s walking on hot coal! LOL!
Who wants that perfect love story anyway? I loved this book!! I could not put it down and the character development was awesome. I saw these characters grow with each lie, truth, scandal and mistake they made. I’ll definitely be adding this to my favorite books list.
I truly enjoyed this series, the way they stayed true to each other throughout the road bumps, love ruled at the end, sad Ronnie couldn't be there physically but she was still with them within their hearts. They got themselves together and became better men for themselves as well as their families.
This book was amazing! I was beyond irritated with Gianni, Quicha and Donny! Val was irritating too but the way Alazo loved her was was amazing. I went through so many different emotions while reading but I absolutely loved it!
Absolutely freaking amazing book. I can't get enough of Takerra books, nothing short of brilliant. Can't wait to read more. Read this book, hell read everything from this author.
This is the follow up to book one it picks up a couple of years from the first one. Enjoyed this series so much. Don't know what took me so long to read this but I'm so glad i did. Looking for something good this is it! Oh and Alazo is bae.
Great ending! Trent finally made his appearance & Alazo was shocked to say the least. But I liked how Alazo didn't really care what the Bonno family wanted from him. It was a lot going on in everybody's life really. But it seems everything came together in the end.
Once again, I am left so very happy. This was a great series. But man, it took me through it. So many twists and turns, and up and downs. Some of it left my head spinning, but I am really happy how everything turned out
