4.5⭐: I've read many books from this author. This book stars Artem, who we first met as Benedikt Volkov's right-hand man in The Volkov Trilogy books. Those books were great! If you haven't read them yet, I suggest you do so to learn more about the interconnected world Artem & Benedikt inhabit. This book is a standalone, though, so you don't need to read The Volkov Trilogy books before reading this one. This is a dark romance, set in a violent world. I thoroughly enjoyed the storyline! The story was really engrossing & well-developed. It captured my interest from the very beginning. I couldn't put it down. I highly recommend reading this book!

The Bratva Betrayal pulled me in much faster than I expected. Cady enters the Volkov world with a plan, and I liked that she never feels helpless while carrying it out. She knows she is playing a dangerous game, but she also knows that her family is depending on her. What makes everything harder is Artem. From their first confrontation, there is this constant feeling that neither of them is willing to give the other an inch. He sees through her lies, she keeps pushing his patience, and somehow every argument makes their attraction harder to ignore. Their relationship was easily my favorite part of the book. Artem starts out watching Cady because he suspects she is a threat, but the more time they spend together, the more obvious it becomes that protecting her is becoming personal. I especially enjoyed the little moments where his actions said more than his words. Cady also gave me plenty of reasons to root for her because she is trying to protect her family while dealing with a father who expects her to prove her worth. That made her choices feel more meaningful. There is plenty of danger, mafia tension, jealousy, secrets, and heat, but the story never loses sight of the two people at its center. And when Artem finally admits how he feels, I actually smiled. After all the suspicion and games between them, seeing Cady realize that this man had become home to her was the kind of ending I wanted. This was a fun, spicy mafia romance with enough heart underneath the danger to keep me invested until the end....

It’s always an honor to receive an advanced copy of a book written by Clara Dunn!! And in typical Clara fashion, she has once again blown my expectations completely out of the water!
Artem is a different breed of mafia made man than I’m used to reading from Clara. He’s Benedikt’s right-hand man, and he rarely makes rash decisions. He’s cold, calculated, and doesn’t hesitate to end someone’s life. So, based on everything we’ve seen from him before, I knew his interactions with Cady were going to be very different from the norm.
Then we meet Cady, an Irish mafia princess who also happens to be a spy for her father, if you will. She doesn’t want to be a pawn in the games they play, but her father changes the game completely. Now she’s supposed to marry Misha, Artem’s little brother.
Misha is selfish, entitled, and thinks mostly about himself—what he wants, what benefits him, and what other people can do for him. He’s spent his life skating along on his brother’s coattails. But when Cady enters the picture, Artem is faced with some pretty tough decisions, and he decides he wants her… and he does some very interesting things to get her.
This one gets dark and intense, but honestly? It’s shockingly worth every second for the storyline. I absolutely ate this book up!
If you love dark mafia romance, touch-her-and-die vibes, morally gray men, and strong heroines who don’t necessarily need a man to save them, this one needs to be on your TBR.

I really enjoyed this book and the writing. I loved both characters, especially their back-and-forth banter and chemistry. I was a little wary at first because of the situation Cady found herself in, without giving any spoilers, but I thought it was handled really well.
Artem was definitely the star of the book for me. Sexy, lethal and just completely irresistible. I really loved his character and the dynamic between him and Cady.
My only criticism, and I think it’s actually a good one, is that it finished too soon. I’m hoping we’ll hear more from them in the next book because I wasn’t quite ready to say goodbye to them yet.
Overall, I really enjoyed it and would definitely recommend it. I’ll be reading the other books in this series and will definitely be checking out more of Clara Dunn’s books.

The banter, chemistry and tension in this book is delicious!!!
Each character is perfect for their roll in the book! And the two MCs are impossible to dislike. The story is great and keeps a nice pace. The writing as always is perfect!
The FMC is feisty and strong and she could definitely handle the MMCs russian temper!
There is age gap, forced proximity, Irish mafia princess, touch her and die, who hurt you?, enemies to lovers and more.
Highly captivating and I really recommend adding this one to your TBR!

Cady & Artem, this duo will make you wonder who’s the cat & who is the mouse! A literary tango that’s slick, steady in pace and captivating. Cady is merely a pawn in a game of chess to her father but the ultimate prize to Artem - NOT trophy, prize.
Misha is a devil may care playboy who is devoid of responsibility & consequences (until he isn’t!) and therefore not worthy of the prize he has in Cady.
Artem looks at all moving parts in the wheel and uses strategy but isn’t afraid to play fast & loose because he knows what he wants and is totally assured he will get it.
The only part that could’ve had a tad more delve is Manifold but, it does nothing to take away the focus of the core players.
I loved it and finished it in a day - well played Clara.

I received this as an arc read for my honest review from the author.
First I will say that I love the banter within the two main characters. The fmc is feisty and stands her ground. The mmc is brooding and very against the thought of being with the same woman. But when he catches a sneaky woman that is dating his brother spying he has her in his sights.
Overall I would classify this as a slow burn with a lot of build up. I would have loved more detail within the story especially after they get together. Spice level would be at a 1.5 🌶️ for me and I’m usually a 3+ 🌶️ person.
If you’re looking for a quickly with some fun banter I think you’ll enjoy it.

Artem is onto her very quickly and won't let her out of his sight, he is the one she should of chose, as he is the one with all the information
The tension between these two was fun, I do love the slow tension vibe, makes the fireworks so much more 🥵

Yet another bratva mafia masterpiece from Clara Dunn. I was sent this book as a gift from the author for which I am very grateful. It features two brothers - one with bite and one that is just plain selfish. The two main characters, Artem and Caitlin are strong and likeable. I particularly liked the fact that Caitlin answered to no-one and insisted on keeping her independence regardless of whatever other people decided she should be and do. I look forward to reading the next book Clara releases as they are always a delight to read!

Loved this read, especially how bada$$ Cady was. I swear she could take a scary situation and handle it better than most men. Artem is definitely one of the scary situations Cady should have been worried about, but yet she handled him with a smile and chin held high. When she was promised to his brother, Artem couldn't let that happen. These two had so much chemistry right from the first chapter.

I love how they started as enemies while both were attracted to each other from the beginning and tried to denial. Fate always has a way to come into your life and change it. Artem had fallen harder and for one of the most violent and fierce men, he is sweet to her.

Meet Cady and Artem. She’s Irish Mafia royalty. He’s a Russian enforcer. These two have heat in spades. Every interaction is intense and their chemistry is *top notch*. This story hooked me from the first line, I couldn’t stop reading it! I love Artemis’s intensity and her perseverance in making herself useful. Another fantastic story! Spice is 🌶️🌶️🌶️ and stars are 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

I haven't read any others books about the Volkows byt after this story I'm sure I will. Good dynamics, climat, tasteful smut and lot of fun of reading.
