The Terrible Tragedy at Twilight is a tirumph of mystery and emotion. Ms McGivens captures the raw energy of thoughtless violence for the sake of an illusion in a man’s mind. But who is the miscreant behind the auto thefts, as threats abound and suspicions multiply, while Katie Porter-Fielding tries to get to the truth while trying to save the marriage of her closest friend?
There is heartache that will no doubt follow Katie, her friends and family for years to come when faced with life-threatening decisions. My thoughts on this story have a personal association. The final chapter offers you a choice: when you face adversity, what do you do?
An exceptional addition to the Katie Porter mystery series, and I believe it is her best story to date. Kudos to her mastery of the mystery in this complex story is beyond words.
