5 STARS! ★★★★★

I'm still trying to wrap my mind around how amazing this book was and to be left in awe by what the Courtney Lane has created here with this read. It was brilliantly written, it had complex multilayered characters and a plotline intricately crafted by the author that makes it such an absolutely riveting read. This is one book that I'd highly recommend to all my dark junkies! :)

I felt like this read had my brain doing cartwheels and it constantly challenged my mind every step of the way. It's crazy addictive till I had to read it every chance I had, in which now I thanked heavens for subway rides while on my trip to give me that free reading time.

Both characters were very well-written, especially Elias who is the anti-hero of this read. Nothing screams anti hero better than a manipulative, twisted and cocky bastard that is driven and hell-bent in getting what he wants. No hesitation, no remorse and every move he makes is a calculated move. He was a complete enigma that had me questioning his motives right till the very end.

“If you think there is a fault inside my brain that makes determining right from wrong troubling for me, you’re wrong. I purposely ignore the line because I can."

I found the anti-heroine, Hanley to also be a refreshing character from my usual dark reads. She's equally driven with the revenge for her mother's death. Meeting with Elias was not by chance, it's all part of her plan and she'll do whatever it takes to take him down. She wasn't afraid to push Elias and test his limits.

The entire read is like watching one giant chess game with multiple players having their own agendas and not knowing who will top each other in the end. Tangled in a web of lies and secrets, it kept me guessing the entire time and while I wouldn't call it a total epic mindfuck, I was definitely blown away by how the entire thing panned out in the end. Brilliantly written, I mean...WOW. I wanna know how it's like to live inside this author's mind.

Delusive is a dark erotic thriller read and the romance here is very much a secondary element. Plus there's a very very twisted alpha-male anti hero whose words could very much evoke fear in you and simultaneously combust your ovaries. Which makes me love the book even more when they're so messed up like that.

To all my dark lover junkies, I very much recommend you to read this book!! If you love anti heroes to be dark in all ways possible, this is for you. Additional bonus if you love them talking dirty ;)

P/S: This book has certain trigger elements that some may find uncomfortable so I'll spoiler tag it here in case

4 Complete Mindf*ck Stars!

"Make people feel comfortable and all their secrets are revealed."

 photo 3410A533-9000-4C45-A200-869DAECC8E50_zpsne1aqva0.gif

Delusive
by Courtney Lane peaked the dark-read lover within me from the second I'd read the book blurb. It clearly promised me a dark, sadistic ride of epic proportions. It, rest assured, did not disappoint!

Delusive-
1. tending to delude; misleading; deceptive.
2. of the nature of a delusion; false; unreal.

Hanley Harper has a secret...a plan, a plot for revenge and Elias Cari is the man to assist her in enacting that revenge. What she doesn't bank on is this dark, brooding, scary man to turn the tables on her. It was all in the plans...till the plans went amuck.

This is one of those books you just go into blind. In fact, the plot is so convoluted, it'd take a ten-page spoilered review to ruin it for you. Every page of this book, every event is built upon itself, making the reader feel as if we too are losing our minds.

Who's the hero? The anti-hero? Is Hanley Harper the victim or is she the persuer? Elias Cari...is he the victim of Hanley's plan for revenge or does he have plans for her? Elias' father, Nathaneal...now he's the true villain here, right?

“You suck the life out of the woman I’m supposed be and you fill what’s empty with you. I don’t know who I am when I’m around you.”

With a self-satisfied grin, he brushed the stray hairs that fell from my bun away from my face. “You know who you’ve become,” he stated through panting breaths, “you just don’t recognize her. You’ve become mine.”

One thing is for sure- Elias Cari can be one cold, sadistic, manipulative, dark, brooding hunk of man anti-hero. I found myself falling for his alluring sexual seduction as if I, the reader, was his prey. Who are you Elias? A good man or bad? I DO know you can be the sexiest yet the most ruthless man I've ever encountered in my dark book fantasies experiences.

 photo F12FEB7B-D5EA-49D9-B6E4-13BF624FFA31_zpscsb9gthf.gif

Delusive
is clearly not a book for everyone. It caters to the more...darker tastes. If you like your reads where you're unsure whether to love or hate the anti-hero, Delusive may be for you. I can say I seriously hated Elias 90% of the time then he'd get all sweet and protective and my heart would thaw a tad. As a warning- this book does contain graphic violence, breath play, sexual battery, as well as FF and MFF scenes. It's a book that lovers of truly dark "romance" with suspense will enjoy.

The plot is THICK. I mean, I can say with 100% certainty that I think I've still got it wrong in my head- even with just finishing the book. Everything I thought I'd figured out was 100% off the mark. There's so many characters and intricacies in this book, I'd highly recommend it for those interested in crime mysteries (as long as the above darkness factor doesn't bother you).

I love any book that gets my heart racing and truly ends up being a royal mindf*ck. This one didn't disappoint in that aspect. The reasons I deleted a star is 1- The frequency of Porteguse language throughout the book that's virtually NEVER translated. I mean, full on paragraphs in another language. What purpose does that achieve other than to feel "out of the loop" as much as the heroine was probably feeling at that time? 2- The convoluted plot was just a bit TOO convoluted for me. I needed my blog partner to break down the gist of the plot-twists 2.5 seconds after finishing... And if you asked me right now exactly the plot breakdown in the end, I'd probably get it wrong in parts. COMPLICATED.

Delusive is a mindf*ck of epic proportions. I'd highly recommend it for fans of Truth/Consequences by Aleatha Romig. Elias has many similarities to Tony and the plot is very complicated like that. However, I'd say it's a fair amount darker.

An all-around enjoyable read I won't soon forget...

"I was dying when I met you- soulless and empty. I didn't realize you gave it all back it me."

3 'Cray cray' stars

My first book of Courtney Lane, but definitely won't be my last because this woman know how to write some crazy stuff. Whether I hate it or love it, I'm intrigue with the madness she crafted.

Elias Cari is a fucking asshole of epic proportion.

Hanley Harper is a woman who claimed she wanted revenge for her family. But half the time I think she is a clueless naive little woman.

They meet, they dance around each other, they fuck and meanwhile Elias showed that he is a total psychopath. Actually for the first 70%, I'm clueless as to the direction of the story because I don't see Hanley's game plan.

Their toxic relationship can be summed up as below:

"You suck the life out of the woman I'm supposed to be and you fill what's empty with you. I don't know who I am when I'm around you."
"You know who you've become, you just don't recognize her. You've become mine."

The issue I want to address :
1. Elias - I love Anthony Rawlings and Liam Callahan. So I have no problem with psychopath. My problem is Elias' reactions whenever Hanley ignore or leave him. He is sick. I felt that his issue was just being overlook at the end of the story.

2. Hanley - I thought she is gonna be a badass like the anti-heroine in Gypsy Brothers series. She keep saying to her father 'We are going to do it!', but I don't see her doing anything beside of going to work and getting stalk by Elias. She threaten to leave Elias one too many times, only to have him whipped out his dick and she will climb all over him like a cat in heat.

3. F/F/M - Going in I knew there is F/F/M scene. When I read the first one, I was okay. But when it happened repeatedly, I'm getting annoyed. It make me questions both the main characters.

The only thing that make Elias slightly redeemable in my eyes is his loyalty and devotion to Hanley. Although he is beyond obsess with her in a totally unhealthy way. Why she keep going back to him is also beyond my comprehension. In a way they are made for each other with their brand of craziness.

The last 30% gave me some severe whiplash that I think it just save the book for me. I like Courtney Lane's guts for writing such an unconventional book. I enjoyed the no hold barred brutality and the monkey sex. I just wish I could like Elias and Hanley more.

5 FANFUCKINGTASTIC STARS!!

If I could give this 10 Stars I would! An addictive game of cat and mouse, I couldn't put it down. I.LOVED.THIS.BOOK. Do you like bad guys? Do you like suspense? Do you like tension you can cut with a knife? This sucker is for you.

Warning: Dark Elements. Non-traditional romance. Alpha. Stalker. Hot.

"I can smell your fear , it's like a pungent perfume. It attracts a part of me that wants to make it stronger. It’s what I’m addicted to—making people fear me. It gets me higher than I’ve ever felt. At one point… higher than I felt when I fucked someone."

This book will go on my favorites list for a reason. I love my dark books, and don't get me wrong, there's some dark here, but the unpredictability had me panting. I felt like the prey, this book was the predator. Courtney Lane stuck her claws in me, ripped my heart out piece by piece, and I sucked up the abuse like a masochist in need of pain.

It's taken me over three weeks to form coherent thoughts, yet I feel clueless. How do I convey my love for this book? This happened to me the last time I read a book by Courtney, my review ended up being a book report. I'm trying to stay short this time. But I can't guarantee a thing.

OKAY, from the blurb you know Hanley is the supposed to be the anti-herione, right? And she is, she wants revenge at any cost. Even if she loses her heart and soul. Elias is in her path of revenge. Who will ruin who? OMG! I'm telling you, this book will have you on the edge of your seat. I yelled at my kindle, "just tell the truth!" I was on a verge of a panic attack, I didn't know how the story would go. And most importantly I couldn't see the truth, I had no idea how Elias felt. Like having that feeling in the pit of your stomach, something is definitely wrong, but you don't know until it happens? Yeah, this book is going to grab you by the balls. Elias is up there with my favorite sociopaths, I'm not saying he is one, I'm just saying he might be. Like a Jack in the Box, scares the feck out of you. His behavior was so unpredictable, yet I still wanted him to have that small ounce of love in him.

“If you think there is a fault inside my brain that makes determining right from wrong troubling for me, you’re wrong. I purposely ignore the line because I can."

I promised I'd keep this short. Just read this. READ IT!
I recommend to all my dark friends. A MUST READ!

3 - 3.5 Stars
I loved the first half and the last 10% of this book. 60% - 90% had me skimming. I almost quit reading it because Hanley was like watching a ping pong game and she really ruined the book for me. I had my suspicions early on about some things and hate that I was right. lol Im leaving it at that. I had a love/hate relationship with this book.

“When two dangerous people collide, very interesting things happen.”

“When you’re not with me, it feels like a fire is roaring underneath my skin, and it burns me raw.” ~Elias

“You suck the life out of the woman I’m supposed be and you fill what’s empty with you. I don’t know who I am when I’m around you.” ~Hanley

“I was dying when I met you— soulless and empty. I didn’t realize it until you gave it all back to me.~Elias

Will I read more books by CL? Hell yes!!

I’ve read more than a couple of Ms. Lane’s books and I’ve always loved them. They pack the Triple D--dark, dirty, dominance (everything I love), and usually have the added bonus of plot twists I cannot predict—a rarity for sure. Needless to say, I had high expectations.

The story
Hanley has cooked up a plan with her father to get back at the people they believe have wronged them. Elias is a key part of that plan.

First, the good…
Elias is sexy. He’s just the kind of crazy that I love: “If you think there is a fault inside my brain that makes determining right from wrong troubling for me, you’re wrong. I purposely ignore the line because I can.” He does what he wants when he wants, and he does it well. The sex scenes between Elias and Hanley are hot. The chemistry was off the charts, and even though it took a while for them to finally do the deed, it was enough to keep the story going. It also had some great quotable lines, “I sat at the devil’s table and relished in the way he made me sin.”

The problems…
Hanley is a hot mess. I get that’s part of her character and that she’s essentially playing a role, but I didn’t like her. It’s one thing for her actions to be contradictory—that can be explained away because she’s trying to trick those around her. It’s quite another for her thoughts and feelings to be all over the map.

Then there’s this…

We don’t get our first maybe insight to all the questions brewing until around the 55% mark, and it’s a big maybe. The first real twist doesn’t happen until 70%, and sadly, it was one I saw a mile away.

From there, it just strings you along, throwing bits and pieces of the puzzle at you but never giving you the full story. At 74%, we’re given a little taste of what Elias knows…

Or so I thought…

He tells her, “I was told the truth from someone” but won’t tell us who.

He gives her an audio file, which she listens to (sort of), but then: “Hearing more than enough, I hit the stop button.” Who does that???

Aaaannnndd now I’m beyond frustrated.

We don’t learn everything until 94%, and the way it was disclosed annoyed the shit out of me. The whole book was a long, drawn out process of uncovering clues, bit by bit, and discovering past wrongs. There were ample opportunities to reveal these secrets, some of which made zero sense when they came to light and only added to my frustration, yet this is how it’s all revealed?

There was more, so much more—the bisexual relationship with Skylar that I thought was superfluous, suffering through withdrawal even though she was only drugged ONE time… In the end, I was disappointed and didn’t think this was anywhere close to the level I’ve come to expect from Ms. Lane. 2 stars because it’s well written and for Elias.

Given ARC for honest review.

Where do I even begin. I really don't even know how to review that greatness of this book. Courtney took me back to reading The Sordid Promise in this one. For me that's such a big thing because I so love that book and has been a favorite of mine. This one rates right up there with it! I love how she writes her twisted, alpha men. But she also gives a strong female lead that is no push over. Both characters have secrets and both have their own issues they are dealing with. Hanley has her own agenda and is trying to fight her attraction to Elias while Elias has only one thing he wants and that is Hanley. He doesn't care what it takes to keep her either and what he has to do. GO grab this one up!

Finally a good book! I was losing hope to be honest!
Damn! It was a hell of a ride.
Elias is a character I'll certainly never forget, a very strong, possessive, over the top alpha, and I love every second of it, even though he sometimes made me lose my mind and he crossed the lines too many times.

Why only 3 stars then? *spoilers* Because the fact that he was okay sharing "Hanley" with other women was a huge turn off for me. I understood that he loved her and wanted her needs to be completely fulfilled but it just didn't work for me. My policy is a real alpha doesn't share! And I wish she could have been able to make him undertand that she didn't need another women in their bed to be happy.

The plot of bewilderment.

This is a hot hot mess. This book is among the most disappointing I've read. I try, lords know I try, but the plot was a big mess with no direction.

The problem lies in the writing. It was a junction of a wrong sequence of structural incompetence. The story was written without a descriptive narrative, no construction of word building, with ill-written characters.

It seems that the author was not sure how the characters should deal with conflict, so she randomly threw in sexual moments that were irrelevant. It was essentially an unresponsive set of intimacy and fluidity. On top of that, it's that the story is so unsettling that it's hard to feel connected to one of the characters.

The two main characters (Hanley and Elias) have absolutely no development and being together so suddenly within two pages of getting into the book was simply unbelievable.

They don't have any interpersonal chemistry and their relationship came out of nowhere like when you came into contact with a pinch of black pepper.

I don't know why I kept doing this thinking that the book will get better, only it don’t. It get worse by the second. I can't take it any more.

This book could have been incredible, but it misses the mark! Seriously. There was no build up, no believable romance, it was basically a dry suspenseful inconsistency plot.

I must’ve put the book down so many times I’ve lost count. I have to move forward. I wouldn't recommend this book, plain and simple.

Because it was just... Bad. Watching the paint dry would have been more productive than what I torture myself to read.

4.5 what the f**k stars!!
Elias Cari is a man worth reading about! The man is a walking sex machine!
This novel had so much drama I don't even know where to start! My anxiety level has been off the chart for the past two days while reading all about it.
I'd like to take some time to appreciate the hot ass sex (no pun intended) in this book! Did I mention that Elias was a machine?
There are a couple of scenes that involve some girl on girl action, you've been warned.
Try to keep an open mind and don't jump to any conclusions while reading this one.
Seeing is believing and trust should never be given to anyone until it's earned!!

An interesting and intriguing read full of suspense and could not see where this was going to go. Hanley out for revenge against Elias for her mothers death.

I hated Elias his character in the first half of the book so arrogant and one of those men who clicked his fingers and everyone jumps. He made up for it in the second half of the book though.

So many lies, secrets and deaths too much happened to go into detail.

A good read with the right amount of angst and some pretty hot moments.

I'm trying to decide if I want to finish this. This is an odd book. All they do is have sex and there is some clit licking like every few pages. I'm trying to determine what the freaking point is. Especially with how possessive and crazy he is....Is it worth continuing to find out what happens??? Will something ever even happen??? Plus she's got some major daddy issues...Hmmm....

Review

A roller coaster, Im still trying to process this story.

“Menace was in his tone, and pleasure was at his fingers.”

“I’ve never done anything i would regret later. If i give up on getting to know you, i will.”

ok, let me start by saying that Elias Cari is one hot mofo. Basically, this story is about revenge. Nothing its what it seems.. theres always a something you don't expect. Elias Cari is an architect… he is a man people are scare of. He is alpha male and border line fucking crazy times. there were times where i thought he crossed the line but here he comes making it up in other ways. Hanley is new in town…a town Elias has control over. When Hanley see her opportunity for revenge… things don't go as plan. The plan she thought she had flew out the window as soon as Elias set eyes on her.

“Your body is showing me its desperate for me to fill every single fuckable hole you have.”
Its hard to give describe some parts without giving away the good parts. One of the things that i really enjoyed about this book is how twisted it is… there were some things Elias did.. that left me with my mouth open… Elias is intense actually, not intense the man is brutal and semi sweet at times. I gotta admit though… Elias is border line crazy but i wont say that it didn't turn me on. Im a sucker for the damaged ones. I was a bit confused towards the end. the ending is not the way i expected to read…Elias and Hanley are made for each other.
“Youre safe with me.”
“I dont want to be safe; i want to be with you.”

one of the things i was not to keen on… was the threesomes.. not because i don't like threesome in books…but because i felt they were necessary tbh. I felt that Elias and Hanley had enough crazy shit happening between them.
“This is who I am, who i will always be. It will be the worst part, but i will give you the best. I will show you the best parts as longs as you give me the real you.”
Overall, i would definitely recommend this story to readers looking for new authors.. and readers looking for a twisted alpha male with some fucked up and thrilling punishments.

If you're looking for a story that will hog tie you into knots, rip you, gut you, and totally annihilate you, then Elias and Hanley's drama is definitely your ticket to complete fracture of your senses and emotions!

The plots, the twists, and turns in this story are sheer genius! When you think you have something figured out, you don't. Don't try. It will only mess you up more. And no worries in the "wooha" section. If you're a fan of Courtney's you should know by now she's not gonna skimp on the sex! Sooooo there's all kinds of noteworthy sexual escapades in this story! Trust! My advice...if you don't have an open mind about sex, this book may not be for you. The escapades in this book are for grown folk. The End.

Five stars for the rough around the edges no holds barred alpha man! *swoon*

I liked this book but I am not a fan of ménage and I don't really know if the heroine being bi sexual actually work for me I normally tend to steer away from main leads being bisexual as I don't find it a turn on for me but I have to say I did like Elias! Sordid Promise is still my fave and even tho this book was not up there with it it's still a lot better then some of the books I have read this year.

~*~ Obsessed by Books copy given in exchange for an honest review ~*~

"You're like a self harming caged animal who is unable to survive in this world without the thing you think you hate most. The thing you think is toxic."

Elias is the addiction, the one more hit that Hanley just can't resist. Believing she can walk walk the fine line between need and want it's a game that she cannot win but how much is she willing to risk? Hanley is a woman with an agenda, a plan with an end goal in her sights. Everything managed and neatly pencilled in to the grand scheme of revenge. Set on a course of vengeance by her father for the wrongs committed against the ones she loves Hanley embodies the adage of a woman scorned. Personified wrath comes in a beautiful package swathed in determination to sacrafice anything to attain her ultimate end.

Elias the son and heir of a powerful family, owns the town and all that dwells within, his reach seemingly unending. He is an enigma, shrouded in power and hidden by his projected visage. Meeting Hanley throws a curve ball into his plans as she proved she is no easy conquest. Their relationship is a fast paced aggressive cat and mouse game of half veiled truths and hard fought battles. Neither one willing to drop their poker face and reveal the hand that fate has dealt them. Elias is the perfect mystery man with Hanley at his side this story has you questioning their reality and their motivations right to the climatic ending. Can they strip back the layers of hurt and pain to reveal the stark truth underneath? Can they triumph when so many plot against them, driven by power, greed and the need to be top dog?

Nothing is as it seems in this cleverly written tale of smoke and mirrors, it's a story that engages your brain as well as steaming up your kindle. There are no boundaries for a man such as Elias, no line he is fearful to cross. A self made man, Elias breaks all the rules and Hanley pushes herself to be his perfect match. Both strong and determined characters they often lose themselves in the pain if their own creation, too invovled in their own motives to reveal the truth to one another. This is a story of revenge, greed and the lengths people will go to just to win...and ultimately the cost of that selfishness. There is always a price to pay, before betting the players need to ensure they can afford the risk as the game often shifts when you least expect it!

A breathtaking 5 star read.

Hanley is out for revenge and seeking redemption. She wants a wrong to be corrected. She wants whats due to her and her family. She knows what must be done. She knows what game to play but unbeknownst to her this man will not be playing the game she needs to play. The only way is to win is to sit at the devils table and play his game.

With a smile on his face and no remorse for what "needs" to be done Elias will entice and titillate every one of her senses. With all her preparation nothing comes close to preparing her for what Elias has in store.

This story will keep you guessing and surprise you with every twist and turn it makes. Just when you think you have it figured out...
Just when you think you know what is behind the curtain, another door opens and you find yourself being pulled in yet another direction.

I have loved every book Courtney Lane has ever written and have fallen madly in love with every character but Elias for me is one of her best.

The bookshelves explain the story better than I can do in my review so I won't repeat a short version of the book.
When the moment passed, I sat at the devil's table and relished in the way he made me sin

Reasons why this book got 4 stars:
1) Messed up main characters; something I adore.
2) There are CARS involved, and I mean sexy, beautiful cars that make you wanna just save up to buy a nice sports car
3) The story is elaborate, deceiving and a page turner at times

Reasons why I couldn't give this book 5 stars:
1) WAY too much Portuguese that went untranslated as though the author expected us to understand it all. It's really annoying to read paragraphs of a foreign language and not know what the person is even saying. I really hope the author doesn't do it any of her other books
2) The story becomes boring at some points. It becomes so boring that I had to start reading other books. It took me 2 whole months to complete it simply because the book has entire chapters dedicated to nothing. At some points, Elias and Hanley's fights became too redundant and boring
3) The part about Hanley not going into the room where her mother was seemed really confusing to me. Basically she doesn't go into the room only because her father says not to? What if he's lying?

I honestly didn't expect to pick up another book after The Sect since that one had a very annoying hero who didn't appeal to me at all. But Elias. Dear Lord this man is a divine creature that just makes you swoon and blush. All in all, a very interesting story to read if your type is fucked up stories that make your head spin.
I will end with:

I was dying when I met you-soulless and empty. I didn't realize it until you gave it all back to me (I honestly gave this book 4 stars solely because of this line. If this hadn't been at the end of the book, I would've given the book 3 stars).

Wow, just Holy Effing Hell. I received this book from the author as a part of a blog tour and for an honest review, and really, because she knows how much I love her dark twisted mind!

Courtney Lane throws down with DELUSIVE there is no doubt of that. It is a mega word count dark twisty tale of love, revenge, hatred, comeuppance and control. Eroticism in it's darkest, mindbending way.

Hanley Harper and her father are seeking retribution against the monster that put Frankie on life support. She is bound and determined to use Elias Cari as a tool for her revenge without falling for the domineering, bossy, exasperating man.

Elias is a complete mindfuck. He is over the top alpha, wicked, cruel...and so completely vicious and vindictive. Not to mention hard for Hanley to manipulate.

This was a totally engrossing novel filled with numerous twists and turns, completely emotion evolking, you either liked or hated whatever was happening at the moment..right along with the characters. I had preconceived notions of what was gonna happen and I was SO pleased to say that those were thrown out the window by the time I was half way through. I LOVE to be kept guessing and that's one of the reasons I love Courtneys books. Nothing is ever as it seems.
I don't want to delve into the story, I want you to experience it for yourselves and I challenge any one of you dark read lovers to read this and not say HOT DAMN, that was AWESOME!

Hanley Harper and Elias Cari are explosive together. An undeniable attraction draws Hanley to the very man she seeks to destroy. Thinking her head is stronger than her heart Hanley ignores warning signs and finds herself embroiled in his world, a world built on fear and mistrust.

Elias is a man that takes what he wants, no apologies, no remorse and he wants Hanley. His desire for her quickly turns from sweet and enviable to dark and frightening.

Delusive is a dark read yet sexy read. I found the story to be well written with a good premise. The twists and turns of the story make for a good read, and made me want to find out where the story would take me next.

That being said, my dislike for both Elias and Hanley grew as did their unhealthy obsession. I found myself calling Elias all manner of derogatory names and wanting Hanley to get the hell away from him. Alas, she just kept going back…GAH.

If you enjoy dark love stories filled with deceit and steamy bedroom scenes this is a definite must read. But if like me, you want to fall in love with the leads, you may to steer clear of Delusive. Their love is not for the faint of heart nor the romantic.

While this was not a favorite read for me, I did enjoy the writing and would absolutely read more from this author.

I rate Delusive 3.5 stars.

What a tangled web we weave...

This story goes way beyond tangled and edges right into twisted with all the secrets being held. Hanley moves to town with her father intending on getting revenge for her family, but things don't end up anywhere near what she planned. She didn't figure on Elias happening to her. To say that he is intense is an understatement and they are scorching hot together. He overtakes her life and she falls hard for him. Finding out the truth changes everything for them. I loved that Hanley was such a strong person. Even with everything that was thrown at her including Elias. Their story is full of twists and turns that kept me on the edge of my seat dying to know what was going to happen next until the very last page. I absolutely loved their story.

I give Delusive 5 hearts!

******Arc received in exchange for an honest review ********

OMFG this is seriously one fantastically great read, when I heard Courtney was bringing another book out, it was one that I had to get my hands on.

Hanley is a strong alpha female that has her own agenda that nothing with stray her from.

Elias is a strong alpha male that lets nothing get in their way.

Put both of them together and you get some sizzling sensual scenes.

I absolutely love the way Courtney write and each book I read by her, just gets better and better. This is a story with darkness, twists and turns where you wont know where it is heading.

This is a read where you will start and page one and will have to carry on reading right to the end.

I for one cannot wait to see what Courtney comes up with next, I will be impatiently waiting.
