This was such a fast-paced book! Everything moved quickly, but not so quickly that I ever felt lost or confused at any point.
The characters were so funny to me. I know a lot of people found them annoying, but honestly, I found them hilarious. Both Lola and Mark are such crackheads. They were immature, but not in an annoying way. Their banter was so childish that I found myself laughing so much lol.
I think this is a really good, cheesy rom-com that you can pick up, read, and just enjoy without having to think too hard. Sometimes, that’s exactly what you need!

Match Unlikely was such a beautiful and genuinely enjoyable read. I had such a fun time with this book, especially because of the chemistry, banter, and overall dynamic between Lola and Mark.
The story follows Lola, a journalist whose career is hanging by a thread. She's given one last assignment that could save her job: secure an exclusive interview with Mark, a wealthy and notorious celebrity she absolutely cannot stand. Unfortunately for Lola, Mark is just as arrogant, annoying, and mischievous as she remembers him from secondary school…. What starts as a simple interview quickly becomes much more complicated when their old rivalry begins to blur into something neither of them expected: attraction👀✨
I loved their enemies-to-lovers dynamic. The banter was so good, and there were several moments that genuinely had me laughing. Mark was such a menace 😭, but | also loved how openly and boldly he cared about Lola. Watching their feelings develop despite how determined they were to resist them was definitely one of my favourite parts of the book.
And any book that gives me good sisterhood automatically has my attention. I really loved Lola and Lara's relationship. Their bond felt warm and genuine, and I enjoyed seeing the way they showed up for each other. Tanya was another character | really liked. She brought so much personality to the story, and I genuinely enjoyed every scene she was in.
Also...OMG, THE ELEVATOR SCENE🥵🌶️...I genuinely cannot get it out of my heads.
But beyond the romance, I think what made this book so enjoyable for me was how easy it was to get through. It had the rivalry, the chemistry, the playful banter, the hilarious moments, and plenty of swoony scenes🤭…
Definitely recommend if you love fun enemies-to-lovers romances with great chemistry and banter.

A Match Unlikely is such a fun, feel-good romance, and I read it in one sitting. The romance was just so enjoyable, and Mark and Lola genuinely had chemistry. Their banter??? I loved their conversations so much.
Mark was definitely my favourite character. I loved his sharp mouth and the way he could match Lola head-on, toe to toe. Neither of them was backing down, and honestly, watching them go back and forth was so much fun.
There was also a little miscommunication happening, and I kept thinking, “If you people would just talk…” A lot of things could have been avoided, but at the same time, I can't even complain because the situations it created gave the book some really funny moments. And that elevator scene???
I really enjoyed the humour in this book. It wasn't just the romance I was enjoying. The situations, the dialogue, the banter( especially the banter😂) everything was done right.

Fun, Sweet, and Full of Chemistry
A Match Unlikely is such a beautiful story, and I had a really fun time reading it.
The story follows Lola and Mark. Lola has disliked Mark since secondary school because of his mischievous nature, and they unexpectedly meet again 10 years later at Lola’s sister’s wedding. When they end up trapped together in an elevator, it becomes the beginning of a whole new kind of drama.
Mark and Lola spend a good part of the story fighting their attraction, but eventually, they both give in. My biggest issue with them was that they didn’t communicate well, and it caused unnecessary tension between them.
Lola frustrated me at times because I couldn’t understand why she was playing the victim in certain situations.
Mark, on the other hand, loves Lola loudly and boldly, and I really enjoyed seeing how much he cared for her.
Overall, this was an enjoyable read with great chemistry and fun moments.
This is a 4.5-star read, and I recommend it.

AMU is such a beautiful enemies-to-lovers story! 😍 The chemistry between Lola and Mark, the banter, misunderstandings, drama, and unexpected twists kept me hooked from beginning to end 🤣🤣 I especially loved watching their relationship grow from resentment to genuine love.

I enjoyed this book so much! It was funny, charming, and the romance was ROMANCING 😍. I found myself giggling and chuckling all the way through. A feel-good romantic comedy.
The banter between Lola and Mark was top-notch, will crack you up. and the writing was so smooth and easy to read that I literally finished the book in one sitting. Then I enjoyed it so much, I went back and read it again.
At this point, when Tobiloba writes, I read. It’s automatic.

A beautifully written book . I love me a Mark and an independent and talented lady as THE FMC Lola .
I also love the ladies in these book so much LARA , Tanya , Aminat and even Veronica because this really brought more drama to the book. Oh how can I forget Mark’s sweet mom and amazing and intelligent character.
Richard got what he deserved. Bad and toxic boss how I wished Mark bought that company 🤭🤭🤭

It’s about hate at first sight, but then love just pumps out suddenly.
I don’t want to be a spoiler but I will advise you to go and read this book and you won’t regret reading it.

A match unlikely is definitely a lovely read if you enjoy stories about unexpected love, relationship and finding love where you least expect it. It has a good balance of romance, emotions and those little moments that keeps you wanting to know what happens next. You can't wait to miss it I swear, grab your copy now!

I really enjoyed the chemistry between the characters and how the story kept me smiling throughout. It’s leasy to get lost in and I will tell you for a fact that, you’ll feel as though you’re the character in the book.

No doubt this is one of the perfect romance I've read. Right from the beginning to the very end. So so thrilling and interesting to read. I couldn't take my eyes off it to the very end. The storyline, tangled drama and all made it an interesting one. A good one author.
