Now that the cat’s out of the bag, the other secrets regarding Jacqueline Talbot’s past—and future—begin to come clear. It’s a lot for a sixteen-year-old girl to deal with, especially when she’s told that the fate of the world rests on her shoulders.
Jacqueline now must prepare herself to take on the rest of the Trials; the only problem is, no one’s really sure what they are. Not even her aunt, who seems to know a little too much about everything.
At least she has her support system to help her through it all. But that system is as fragile as everything else in Jacqueline’s troubled life. Just one small misstep and it could all be over…for everyone.

You are immersed in this story. I liked Hannah more than Jackie after this segment. It just seemed off that Jackie would want to be the center of attention with her friends. Jackie came off as selfish and egotistical and I didn't like the direction her character arc went. Edwin just no! I don't blame Jackie for her choice and Jordan got what he was looking for. Worth the read but not sure if I want to continue.
This was a good continuation from the first book. I really enjoyed the first book and read through it super fast. The second one like I said was a good continuation of the original story but it starts to kind of go off the rails towards the end and I'm a little worried about the direction of the 3rd book.
