This was pure smut and I really enjoyed it.
Sometimes I like my erotica to have more plot and sometimes I'm just in the mood for something mindless and kinky. This did have a story but lets be honest, I was reading it for the kink and on that front it really delivered, very hot.
The plot in this was rather insane but made for a very fun sexy times. A conquering army subjugates women in towns that are non compliant to demonstrate their power; lots of wicked shenanigans ensue.
The ending to this was really quite sweet and had a different tone to the rest of the book.

This book is set in the future in what is now the Western United States. General Augustus Dumfries’ Army of Western Liberation controls the area. In order to maintain discipline in the towns he governs, General Dumfries has implemented subjugatory duty for towns that fail to meet his expectations. An officer in his army is assigned the duty and is allowed to pick an 18 year old virgin from the offending town to subjugate. Captain Bradley Clark is horrified when he receives his first opportunity for subjugatory duty. He picks 18 year old Jenna Caprio to atone for her town’s perceived mistakes. Although horrified at the thought of having to subjugate another human being, Captain Clark can’t help but be aroused by the thought of completely dominating the 18 year old beauty.
Jenna is initially devastated by the idea that she is to be subjugated while her entire town watches a live broadcast of the event. Despite her trepidation she finds herself aroused by Captain Clark’s discipline, and even finds pleasure knowing the entire town is watching her subjugation. Despite the circumstances the pair finds themselves slowly falling for each other.
Overall this story was well written and the alternating POVs were handled well. The author does a really good job of vividly describing each encounter between Captain Clark and Jenna. Initially the humiliation factor was a bit much for me. Just as I thought the author was going to push way past my limit the story shifts and takes on a more romantic tone. The sex and discipline are largely non-consensual, but the author emphasizes with each encounter that Jenna is in fact enjoying her subjugation. If you have issues with non-consensual encounters this is probably not the book for you

ubjugated is a sci-fi book from the wicked imagination of Emily Tilton and boy does it hit the mark, on every level. The premise is naughty in every way. Set in the future, in a western American town called Springfield (yes, she named it in a nod to the Simpson's fair city, which made me giggle), the mayor's daughter has been set to be "subjugated" by an army officer.
This heathenistic practice involves wearing a red thong, being punished and sexually initiated and humiliated in every possible way (on live camera) by the officer, then led to the town's square to be publicly punished and sexually used by the soldiers. So, there's nothing not hot about that scenario: non-consent, complete domination, punishments, and dirty dirty sex. It's pretty much delicious. To make it palatable, our hero is actually secretly a member of the resistance, but he must go through with the whole thing and make it a good show to keep both of them from being shot. So despite the over-the-top scenario, this is not a dark book. It's definitely a pleasure read.
The premise is brilliant and the characters are charming, but Tilton ups the heat so much more by adding the whole exhibitionism/voyeur dynamic. The entire subjugation takes place on cameras with a voice-over expert describing things and giving his opinion (like a sports announcer). The hero himself also stops to talk to the cameras to buy himself time or give the heroine a break. This, of course, adds to the heroine's embarrassment and discomfort, which of course makes it all the hotter.
I won't spoil the ending, but there is a very sweet and satisfying HEA and of course, neither character cares to give up the D/s dynamic once it's no longer mandated.
I recommend Subjugated to any fan of non-con or even those who aren't sure if they're fans. Trust me, after you've read this book, you will be! (c) Spanking Romance Reviews

I really enjoyed this book it's BDSM dark-erotica.
It's about a girl who lives in a future America which is run by a dictator. Who to punish a town for it's disobedience forces the town to give one of their 18 year old daughters up for subjugation. It has scenes of humiliation, spanking, whipping, degradation and subjugation.
It is written in the third person from different characters points of view. What I really enjoyed about the book was that each of the character really stand out in certain scenes with Jenna Caprio I could feel myself cringing as I felt her humiliation and feeling sorry for her but at the same time she comes across as a strong girl who takes all this humiliation and still comes out a heroin of the story.
With Bradley Clark as well you feel for him and his situation and although he has to do all these things to Jenna I found him to be strong when needed but also a real person who you can emphasis with.
I think this piece is well written and the story line is gripping. At first I was not sure where the story was going but as I got more into the book it became clearer and made it enjoyable to read.
The end of the story is well written and was a surprise something I didn't see coming which doesn't happen often for me.

Ok so my life has been recently "LIFING", and I decided to read something without any deep storylines. I just wanted something to rev the engine and EMILY TILTON does just that. This book was nothing but KINKY EXHIBIITION. It was just what I needed. If you are looking for a plot- then this won't be it. I mean look at that cringy girls gone wild cover! What did you think you were gonna get? 5 stars for being smutastic.

While I liked the Hunger Games vibe of the story the execution was lacking. It came off as kind of silly and the constant talk of the "Traditional Values" and "politics" was boring. It would have been a better story if there was more of a connection between the characters. The ending was also too abrupt and anticlimactic.

My first book from this author, based on a random Amazon recommendation...
Jenna Caprio's always been a good girl, but she's going to have a Very Bad Day. As punishment for her town violating its energy allowance, she's been selected for 'subjugation,' a government-sanctioned exercise in sexual domination and humiliation at the hands of an officer in the Army of Western Liberation. Capt. Bradley Clark has no choice -- he must subjugate Jenna, or be shot for insubordination. Jenna's prepared herself according to the instructions she's received, and when Capt. Clark arrives, her Subjugation begins. It's a long day for Jenna -- first there's spanking, paddling, and a belt for punishment, then a blowjob for the captain, followed by more punishment, then vaginal and anal sex. And that's all before lunch....
However, Jenna's comforted when she learns that Clark is a member of a rebel alliance looking to eliminate the army general responsible for this grotesque perversion of military rule, making it easier for her to submit to him. Later, when Clark brings Jenna to Las Vegas for his 'week of pleasure,' they seize the opportunity to help the rebel alliance, and live HEA.
It was kind of frustrating to read. There's loads and loads (and even more loads) of non-con/dub-con sex -- both individual and group events. And..it gets to be rather repetitive -- after a while, you just start skimming over it. The characters are mostly pretty flat, but at least Clark has some depth. He is SO conflicted -- he hates what he has to do, but can't help getting turned on by it all. Jenna's punishments ensure her submission to him, but she's so passive about it that she could be a blow-up doll. It would have made for a more satisfying story if you got a sense that she's really furious or outraged by what's happening -- instead of just her resigned acceptance. Even more unbelievable, Clark decides he's fallen in love with Jenna during that day, and she with him....Really???
When they arrive at the Palace of Joy in Las Vegas, the momentum picks up -- but by then, you're 90% into the book, and everything gets wrapped up so quickly and easily that they go straight to their HEA.
By far the most unsettling aspect of Jenna's punishment is the broadcast commentary -- kind of a "Hunger Games" vibe. The entire time he's with Jenna, Capt. Clark is accompanied by two camera crews who capture the entire proceedings and broadcast them back to military headquarters as well as to the general public. Along with picture and sound, there are two commentators -- like for a football game or golf tournament -- who comment on the action, offer 'optional plays,' and speculate on outcomes. It's an interesting addition to the plot, and scarily effective at giving you the creeps.
So..for that I'm rounding up to 3 stars, from 2.5.
