Could have been decent read

I had to stop at 86%. Story just got dumber by this point. There were so many discrepancies to overlook, and I tried, but my eye rolls became more frequent. Was a good storyline, just fell very short of being written well.

enjoyed this book

I really enjoyed this book. I love an emotionally stunted MMC and a strong FMC and she didn’t sit there and take the OW drama for long. Although the OW at the end was a little over the top and too much. Seriously wasn’t needed.

I am not a fan of the surprise pregnancy trope and not letting the father know though. There is no excuse that makes that okay.

My only concerns were I understand him not being emotionally available but to ask her for more and then the whole sorry for the disruption made no sense to me. It was like he regretted sleeping with her so then why continue..: that was a problem. And I needed it to be explained better. Also the OW he repeatedly said “she was just a colleague” but that was a lie she was obviously a close friend of twenty years so to say that was a bit confusing. It was like it switched from his COO wanting him to a close family friend wanting him for twenty years. And he never told his wife that they were friends and as well as coworkers.

Also I didn’t feel any kind of real relationship form between them those three years together it sounded like he had maybe three good interactions with her and the rest he was away for work. So not sure I felt how they could have really connected with them as much as there could have been. And for him to tell her it got old taking about her farm was disappointing. Needed a bit more connection together before I could believe he loved her that much. Also I hate when rich people hire private investigators but they can’t find a woman who uses her own name on a farm. Lol they were taking his money

Farm girl makes good

Bree and Rafael marry to save her father’s farm and so Rafael can inherit the family business. Three years. Bree catches feels for her husband but he ignores her. Finally she’s had enough, disappears, and discovers she’s pregnant. Throw in the mix another woman and you have their story. Except, Bree makes a new life for her daughter and her. And Rafael realizes how empty his life really is.

Bree is a great character, strong and unwilling to just accept the crumbs Rafael has for her. And Rafael grows into a man worthy of love. Lively characters without being silly. Another KU I will purchase.

Humiliated and Neglected ...

Though in the description of ebook there was no cheating. That is what caught my attention. But reading this book I am very impressed with the true story outline.
They married very young for Dynasty. It was just supposed to be three years. After two and a half she was lead to believe that he was cheating. So she left and started a new life. Though she took a piece of him with her. This story has the biggest drama when he finally finds her.
This will be in my list of books to reread.

Amazing read!

The scene stealers of this beautiful story are Rosie and Butterbean. Molly is a heroin who aids Bree to reinvent and stand tall. Rafe has caused turmoil throughout their marriage by misplaced priorities and only by losing Bree did he wake up
The entirety of the story is cleverly written and keeps the reader intrigued.

Wow!

I started reading this book and was hooked at the beginning. I didn't want to stop reading it until the end. A really good storyline and all the feel goods you want in a book. Very entertaining too. I recommend this book.

The book was so good. I love the fact that she took her life back and didn’t let him take her desire to be what she was and she made it work. The town and its people where with her the whole way.
