Stranger to Love

Rate this book
In a life defined by casual flings and a refusal to settle, Alex—a total stranger to love—has her carefully guarded independence shattered when she meets Dr. Carter, her formidable university professor. What begins as a spark of intense attraction quickly spirals into a volatile, all-consuming power dynamic that dismantles Alex’s world and pulls her into Dr. Carter’s dark, opulent, and dangerously possessive sanctuary. As the boundaries between student, lover, and obsession blur, Alex finds herself not just caught in a relationship, but irrevocably marked—forced to choose between the life she knew and the seductive, suffocating reality of belonging entirely to the woman who has dismantled her and put her back together.Trigger Possessive/overprotective themes, heavy BDSM dynamics, Mommy Domme, violence (not between romance characters), explicit scenes and language. Intended for mature audiences.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5 STARS

Okay… Minnie Molly has done it AGAIN. 😭❤️

Stranger to Love is an absolute MASTERPIECE. I genuinely don’t know how this author keeps creating stories that manage to completely consume me every single time, but here we are. Since I discovered you on Wattpad I am addicted, I reread your works over and over again..

I absolutely loved this book. The characters, the chemistry, the tension, the emotions… EVERYTHING. There’s just something about Minnie Molly’s writing that pulls me in and makes me feel so deeply connected to the characters. I wasn’t just reading their story — I was living it with them.

The way the relationship develops, all the complicated feelings, the little moments, the vulnerability… I ate it ALL up. 😭 The emotional depth in this book is exactly what I look for, and Minnie Molly delivered once again.

And honestly? At this point, I don’t even question it anymore. If Minnie Molly wrote it, I KNOW I’m going to love it. Every single one of her works manages to leave me with that feeling of “what am I supposed to do with myself now that it’s over?”

This was easily a 5-star read for me. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Minnie Molly, respectfully… HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO MOVE ON FROM THIS BOOK? 😭

Another masterpiece. Another favorite. Another reminder that I will apparently read anything this woman writes. 🫠❤️

This one's tough. On one hand, I was enjoying myself for the most part and there were several moments where I was smiling at the love story. I really did like the two main characters together and I thought they were sweet. I was apprehensive about the mommy domme stuff but it wasn't excessive. Although it still.made me cringe.

I also appreciated how much they communicated with one another about what ever was bothering them. It was mature and healthy.

However, I've always said that, when it comes to romance novels, there's really no reason for them to be more than 350 pages because at some point you're going to run out of a story to tell.
This book was a perfect example because this book should have ended 200 Pages earlier. For the most part nothing happened and it got incredibly repetitive at points because the story was over, but the author kept going.

I'm telling you there is no reason for this book to be damn near 600 pages long. It's just way too long with nothing going on after a certain point.

Also, the constant 'fuck me' exclamations were too much. I cuss a lot myself, but the constant F words in this book were exhausting. It felt very teenager after a while.

I loved Alex's parents, Holly and Billie. Hated Mia. Hated that there was really no drama outside of "my family is poor and mine is demanding".

And I hated that only a handful of chapters were from Dr. Carters perspective. She had a real interesting background snd we learn hardly anything about it. At least not from her POV.

Why are we hearing about a main characters background from another character POV when it's a dual POV novel and you could just have that character talk about her life? That was irksome.

Overall, this could've been better. I skimmed the last few chapters because it was just too long and would not end. I'd rate it higher if it were 200-250 pages shorter and had more going on.

Also, Carter felt abusive at times.

3/5 Stars

I had mixed feelings about this one. There's definitely a lot of elements to this story that I liked and it is generally well written. However, it also feels incredibly long without a whole lot actually happening. And while this feels primarily like a BDSM centric book, I felt like very little of those elements actually started to appear on the page until nearly 50% of the way through it. Even then.. its tame in a lot of respects and mostly focuses on control and possession.

The way they kind of get together also felt forced. Multiple repeated instances of Alex essentially getting assaulted for no other purpose other than to draw them together.

Has a fair amount of spice and its pretty decent, but there are also aspects of their dynamic that didn't really hit for me. I found Dr. Carter to be kind of wishy washy as a character and had trouble seeing her as the stoic domme that I think she was meant to be.

Overall it was enjoyable, but I definitely found myself looking at how many pages were left a few times and wondering how there was still so much left.

Why did it have to end ?!

Okay , I’m not good at writing reviews but this book was so good. I’ll try !
I loved this book ! I can’t lie, I couldn’t really make out the cover when i skipped past it while trying to find a good book and if I had noticed it before I would have picked it up to at least read the description ( im a sucker for a hand around my neck , what can I say ?🫣) anyway …. This book gave me ALL the feels , I feel like Minnie read my diary and gave me the dark dominate women of my DREAMS & NASTIES thoughts 🫠 Doctor Carter Just did it for me ! I wish I could curse in these because it feels like the only way to express how I’m feeling right now ! But then again I’m probably also hoping Dr Carter pops up and punishes me 🙈, I want one of my own ! .the control she wore likes it was apart of her skin was so f**king sexy and the hand that she just couldn’t seem to keep from around Alex’s neck had me wishing and still do that I could jump in the book and steal her spot ! But since I can’t 🫤, I’m happy she found Alex 😩and her parents , she deserves to be loved like that ! When she finally finally showed that she could be more open with alex and STILL be her natural dominant self? I fell in love , and so did Alex , it’s hard not to she’s AMAZING! And her “ punishments “ had me wish I could misbehave for her . The possessive “ your mines “ energy with the “ “ touch her and I’ll ruin you “ energy along side the “ mommy’s princess & your a brat , but one that I can keep under control “ energy DID IT FOR MEEE. Did I mention the hair gripping and the marching her up the steps to
Discipline Her scene? Because it’s in there ! And so much more ! This book is , not really dark ( I’m an expert, I love a kidnapped and now your mines book) but it’s dark in the , Let anyone touch you and now we have a problem way ! .Alex was a flirt and Dr Carter does NOT share . Although she technically did kidnap her (but she only wanted to take care of her , anyway . The sexy scenes had me rereading them , the punishment scenes had me wanting to take Alex’s place, “ did I give you permission to speak ?” 😩 . “ correct yourself , who are you speaking to “ yeah this book did it for me . READ IT ! And MINNIE MOLLY , GIVE ME MOREEE! . I’ll reread this one until then 💗🙂‍↔️. Thank you for this master piece, how did you know what kind of woman I want ?! 👀. Oh and it’s 597 something pages and usually I look at a number past 300 and I’m not yeah ,no . Usually. It takes a very good book for me to read all 500 and something pages , got to 587 and wanted to scream , because I was so close to the end 😩. This book is very much one of my favorites and I’ve read so many books that I don’t even remember the number . I’ll be getting a hard copy . Its keepsake worth 💗

Professor X Student + Ice Queen = YES PLEASE

This is truly a book from my fantasies. A sexy, dominant, possessive, ice queen, business woman, and professor? Sign me up! But that's not all Carrie is, it's only the tip of the iceberg of her armor. Seeing her melt for Alex was perfect. Alex is a play girl with an eye for older women and an ego to back it up. As she got closer with Carrie though the transformation was amazing. She became even more confident and didn't hide under being a flirt unless it was with Carrie. I absolutely loved the way they had each other's backs no matter who or what came in their way. Their conflict resolution is a thing of dreams while yes they were idiots at times; they didn't spend forever moping they figured out their thoughts separately, then came together and actually talked.

There were some tense/timeline things but not bad enough to affect the plot so it didn't impact my rating.

As always, a wlw romance book is required after too much fantasy reading! I truly did enjoy this book. A nice, easy, and spicy (lol) read that didn't get put down until I finished it the same night.

When I first started it, I was wondering how the dynamic between the MCs would be, and god was I happy when blondie disappeared. I find that in books similar to this, the characteristics of the 'controlling' / 'dominant' MC are never realistic (not that I can speak from experience); however, I liked how we repeatedly got to see the softie, relaxed part of Carrie. Similar could be said for Alex; it was nice seeing her embrace and welcome something she wasn't necessarily used to.

Overall, a lovely book. I rated it 4 stars because this book and others like it can sometimes lack originality, feeling like the same story with different characters.

A top that uses hickies instead of floggers for punishment? Hits subscribe button!

These two obsessively divine characters were set on a collision course to love from the moment Caroline’s heels click-clacked to the lecture hall podium and Alex wiggled her bottom to sit up taller in her desk. Fiercely protective of one another, a bratty sub and Domme deferred to as Mommy (NOT ABDL) is wrought with steamy scenes that you cannot read in public, near people, just- home alone with a fan on if you please. The BDSM is tame- more threat and brattiness and no impact play so shouldn’t turn anyone’s likes off:)

I had a wonderful time immersing into these characters daily lives, their families, their vibrant friends, their work environments, and their homes…. I am completely thrilled and will read whatever this author puts out next!

Hot, hot, hot...however...

Had so much fun reading this, at times though, Alex was incredibly frustrating (got to keep it interesting though, right?) but the thing I have learned about this was, not a big fan of the "Mommy" trope. I got through it regardless because Dr. Carter was a DELICIOUS character and her & Alex were fun to read. But sometimes the use of "Mommy" made my skin crawl a bit. But otherwise, I enjoyed this quite a lot. Very spicy & very possessive which was hot as hell.

Wow

I loved this book and could not put it down. The characters were great and the build up of the story kept me so wrapped up in this book. I absolutely loved Dr. Carter and her iciness. But Alex was everything she blossomed as a character and I loved her brattiness the whole way through. Definitely worth reading.

It was a good book, most of it was amazing, I would definitely read it again. The only thing that caused me conflict was that Alex lost her essence, she stopped being the daring girl I would have liked, he will continue with Dr. Carter.

LOVED this. The main characters had me going right from the start. It’s a long one but i was hooked from the beginning. I’d like this one to be on audible. I’d listen to it as much as I’ll be reading it. This one made it to the bookshelf!!! 👏🏼🫦

I knew from reading previous works that I would love this book, I just didn't realise how much. I didn't put it down from the moment I started reading it, the story consumed my every thought and I loved every single part. Everything from the characters to the plot was just 10/10 and I can't wait to read everything else. One of my favourite authors 😍

This book completely wrecked me in the best way possible. The best way possible meaning I just finished this book on my kindle and I went directly after and I purchased a physical copy. I only wish I could read it again for the first time. Man i could see my self as Alex through out the whole book, Dr Carter Is my kind of woman, I to am fond of older woman like Alex and I swear that damn woman had me wrapped around her finger as a read each page, and I would be on my knees in a mili second for her. The way Minnie built these characters, and just the over all story had me hooked from the first page.. i already want more. I am a sucker for this kind of love story and boy did she deliver. Wow. What a read. Can’t wait to read the next one. And if you want to send me a copy of the next book I wouldn’t mind one bit ;)

My favorite sapphic read of 2026!

Obsessive, possessive, delicious age-gap. I could not put this book down and I also found myself reading some pages slower to simply savor it and delay finishing it because I just did not want this to end!

I am definitely looking forward to the next book and the focus shifting to another highly intriguing character.

Highly recommend!!
