As Jason Lawless, the chef who created these recipes, has said, they are "seasonal, elegant and simple." If you need a reason to stay on a healthy eating plan, these recipes should do it.

Although we are following Zinczenko's Zero-sugar eating plan, we are enjoying these recipes as well.
Every one we've tried has been given a keeper' rating--our highest. Eating this well is all the motivation we need to make this a lifestyle change.

Best recipe so far: Seared Scallops with Roasted Potatoes and Red Apple Slaw on page 120. Outstanding!!

I love to read cookbooks and take a lot of them out of the library as I'm always looking for new recipes to try. I didn't follow the diet so I cannot testify to the effectiveness of the recipes in lowering belly fat. However, I can testify that the recipes I tried were tasty. There are two pages that give recommendations for putting together your own bowls and that alone is enough to make the cookbook worth a look.

Picked this up on a whim in an effort to catch up on healthy cooking and eating options and was pleased with this on a couple of levels. The first and most important is that the food is really good. It is 'real' food made with regular ingredients. There are no low-fat or no-fat substitutions and recipes do not include sugar substitutes, etc.

In general, it is big on plants and has a lesser emphasis on lean meats. Recipes are quite simple. The overall plan wants people eating five times per day which is the most difficult aspect to accomplish. What's the catch for losing weight? You'll have to read it...

I actually did read this entire cookbook. The name is cheesy, but I'm a big fan of easy recipes with clean and fresh ingredients. Looking forward to adding this to my cookbook shelf.

Plenty of variety in the recipes

I haven't yet had the opportunity to try a variety of recipes so my review may change after doing so, but right now seems to be a nice wide range of healthy options. Recipes also seem to have a varying degree of difficulty included.

Love these recipes. They are stocked with ingredients that one normally has in the house, as opposed to some cookbooks that you have to search hi and low to find one special ingredient. Easy to follow, easy to make and you really feel full.

Skip the diet book and purchase the cookbook. Mr. Zinczenko gives enough of an overview of the diet in the first part of this title. Great recipes, only found 1 so far I wouldn't make again. Great variety of ingredients, I've seen some reviews complaining about "well I don't like "fill-in-the-blank" so I can't follow the diet" I have had no problem. He has a huge list of fruits, vegetables and includes recipes for beef, fish, chicken, eggs, beans/rice so it's easy to pick your favorite protein(s). I'm down 7 lbs in the first 2 weeks and haven't been hungry.

Needs more recipes

The book and recipes are great, I just wish there were more of them. Also more recipes or ideas for breakfasts if you don't have (or want to make) time to cook in the morning and you don't want overnight oats.

It's not for picky eaters

Too many recipes include bell peppers (I can't eat them). Too many stories. I expected a Cookbook - not a novel
