** Beta Read for the lovely Kym Grosso **
Okay, so I am not always one for Novella's. I often find that they bring nothing to the main series. They're usually about other characters that aren't important, and they always feel way too short to me (I love a nice long book to sink my teeth into) and there never seems to be enough depth to them. But Kym Grosso has done it again!!
She's written a fantastic Novella about the couple that we all fell in love with in the first book of her Immortals of New Orleans series. Sydney and Kade stole my heart and after a huge trauma had affected their lives forever I was desperate to get my hands on this book and find out how they are.
We were given more than enough depth to the story and most of all, Syd and Kade were just as amazing as they have always been. Grosso managed to keep these characters completely consistent with who we previously met, which a lot of authors fail at. Sometimes the exact same characters feel absolutely nothing like the people they used to be, which is a real shame.
The storyline was brilliant and it kept me on my toes, trying to guess what was going to happen next. I loved seeing how Syd coped with the situation that's been thrust upon her and how she and Kade are trying to figure it out and move on, together.
They're a really amazing couple.
Overall, this was a fabulous addition to this series and that ending left me on the edge of my seat. I was already impatiently waiting for book seven in the series, but now? My god, it cannot come quick enough.

**TOTALLY AMAZING!!! **
I was honoured to be given an advance copy of "Lost Embrace"(Immortals of New Orleans 6.5) by Ms, Grosso and thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it.
Although this was a novella, it didn't read like one.. it was action packed and kept my interest from first page to last and was perfect in length.LOVED it!! It's a real page turner.
You will be holding your breath awaiting the outcome to see if Kade Issacson's fiancee, Sydney, will survive her attack by a demon. Sydney's life is hanging by a thread and it does not look good for her survival. There may only be one option Kade might have in order to try save her life, but can he do it and will it work???
I highly recommend this book and the total series to everyone. Make sure to add it to your TBR list.

Loved this book!!! And quite honestly it did not feel like a novella, with everything that happens you feel like you read a full book really fast :) I enjoyed having a book to reacquaint myself with Kade and Sydney. Completely fell in love with them all over! There are a couple hot moments in this book and a mystery and some struggle but in the end it is all about the awesome love story that is Kade and Sydney <3 Don't worry if you haven't read this series this book works fine as a stand alone! But really why haven't you read this series??? Highly recommend this book!!!

OMG where do I start. Sydney almost died fighting a demon a couple books back, and Kade not wanting to lose his mate he turns her into something she did not want to be. She was happy with their arrangement before this whole life changing event happend, as Kade's mate she agreed to drink a little of his blood, but not wanting to do a full change over.
Sydney has gone through a major depression because of what happend. She was growing weak, and Kade was helpless, because he could not help her. He tried everything from donors to help her feed. I will not get into detail for I will do major spoiler, but let's just say when all else has failed her one, and only best friend has come to new Orleans to warn kade, and syd of an enemy coming to get her. Not only did he come with a warning he will learn what he needs to do to help save Sydney, and teach her to be what she is a vampire. Oh my goodness it was hot hot hot, lots of twists, and lots of turns by this point. I can honestly say that I yelled at this book lol.
Sydney has found her inner peace she has accepted who she became. She claimed her prize, and now she needs to help and figure out what it all means. Where does it tie in together, and why.. Kym has done it again, and so can't wait to see what happens in the next installment WITH Jax. Wow wow wow...

Lost Embrace by Kym Grosso is an action-packed novella. It will be released as part of the Romancing the Paranormal box set as well as individually. While it can be read as a stand-alone story, it will be much more enjoyable to fans of Kym Grosso’s Immortals of New Orleans series.
Lost Embrace is true to the first story in the series, Kade’s Dark Embrace. There is a strong storyline, plenty of action, and a very strong female main character. Sydney Willows has always been my favorite female character in this series, and Lost Embrace solidifies that for me.
Sydney and her vampire love interest, Kade Isssacson, are the perfect couple in a paranormal romance. They’re in love, in lust and committed. They’ve got each other’s back. Fans of the series are undoubtedly dying to know how Sydney is fairing after her valiant effort to protect an infant left her near death from an evil demon. I thank Kym Grosso for the ARC of Lost Embrace, what a fabulous story.
I couldn't put this book down, in true Kym Grosso style Kade and Sydney's story was action packed with some smoking hot scenes.
Sydney had been fatally injured, going against her wishes Kade turns Sydney into a Vampire to save her. Recovery is not going well but Kade has one more idea, can he do it to get his Sydney back ? Time is of the essence as Syd becomes a serial killers next target.

Well, it certainly will if hot, sexy Kade has his way (and, really, when doesn't he get his way?) Loved it! Kym Grosso, whether writing a novel or a short story, brings us along for a heck of a ride every time. Her writing packs it all into this self-contained short story, which can definitely be read as a stand-alone. Although why you would want to is beyond me since her series, The Immortals of New Orleans, is so fabulous. Cannot wait for Book 7....JAX!!!!.

I was given an ARC for an honest review. I have long been a fan of Kym Grosso and have read all her books. I have never been disappointed in any of them and was NOT disappointed in this novella.
I have been waiting for more Sydney and Kade and Kym did not disappoint. This novella was everything you could hope for an more in a novella.
Sydney has been changed, something she never wanted, and is having a hard time adjusting. Kade is going crazy trying to help her. He has run out of ideas when Luca makes a suggestion that just might help her. But in the mean time danger makes it's way to NOLA. Sydney realizes she must learn to adapt. She comes up with a plan that she feels will work. Things go crazy and Kade has decided he needs to follow Luca's suggestion to help Sydney.
What is Luca's suggestion? What is the danger after Sydney? Will she be able to fully adjust to the change? Is Kade going to lose Sydney? All questions that will be answered when you read this book.
Congratulations Kym on another fantastic read!!

I am officially hooked on Kym Grosso's novels. There are so many book in this genre that it's hard to choose an unknown to me author. I love her writing style, and I especially love her character development. Every single one of her characters are well developed and have depth. The story lines are all completely different, and there are unique ideas for her paranormal world that I love.
I'm not usually a fan of revisiting past characters in a series, especially if they've had a happily ever after. I know it's unrealistic to imagine a perfect relationship with no conflicts, but that's how I like to envision my happily ever afters. This one was excellent though. The conflict wasn't contrived for the sake of writing another novel. It fit well with the story line and it was a life changing situation that would cause fall out. I thought the author did an amazing job with how the characters dealt with everything.
I highly recommend this series for fans of paranormal romance. It's addictive.

Oh my!!!! I almost couldn’t believe that this was a novella. Kade & Sydney, wow!!! All of Kym Grosso’s fans have been waiting to see more of these two. We have all been very worried about Sydney & how she was going to deal with the things that have happened.
Sydney is not adjusting well to the change & Kade is about at his wits end. He knows she needs to learn to feed but every time she has tried on her own she has hurt the donor. He finally comes up with a plan, meanwhile Syd takes off without telling anyone. She’s come up with a plan, too! Only hers tends to lead to some problems…
And yes, Sydney’s plan kind of goes awry but just wait… Kades’ just might work. Some might think that because this is a novella there might not be a lot happening. They would be WRONG! This book is jam packed with situations that will keep you on the edge of your seat AND have you gasping with surprise!!! Kym Grosso has done it again!!!!!

**** COMING SOON !! WATCH FOR IT ! **** ..I loved it.. It was well written,it wasn't like a novella at all but a full book,I already loved the characters Sydney and Kade,it had mystery,plot twists I didn't expect,romance and heat,I wanted more.. I too wondered if Sydney would recover from the demon attack,but I knew Kade would do what he had to do to keep her with him,and with Sydney dealing with new changes,and having to deal with an escaped serial killer that's after her, you get caught up in it,it is an amazing read,and as a reader,you feel like you're there with them in the story line,your emotions will run the gamut. I loved to see familiar faces from the other books as well,to see how they are doing..I don't do spoilers,and it would be so easy with this one. I would highly recommend this book and this series to anyone that loves paranormal romance,can't wait for the next book in the series...

We are brought back in this novella to Sydney and Kade. This is where the Immortals all began. The fire between these two has always been hot, but as we are made aware in a previous book that Sydney has been turned vamp. This has not sat well with her. She has put up walls around her out of fear, anger and most of all sadness of the life she once knew being gone.
Kade is desperate to help her but everything he tries is going all wrong. Then the real world strikes and Sydney is suddenly in danger, from an outsider and her own fears.
There are so many elements of this book that made me want to scream and punch my pillow. I was a bit sad not to even see a hint of Leo in this one but the drama through the book really made up for it. I giggled many times at the fun banter between Kade, Luca and Anthony. The epilogue left me with my jaw on the floor and was the perfect cliff-hanger to leave you drooling for the next book! Holy smokes!

I was blown away by Lost Embrace. I never knew I could be so moved and fully satisfied with a novella. Most of the time I know I am only getting a snippet. Just a piece of their world with little to no background info, but with Lost Embrace I felt I got the entire story and then some!
When Kade and his fiancée Sydney's relationship take an unexpected turn others are moving in to take advantage of their emotional turmoil and put an end to them. Testing their love and strength, Kade must give Sydney both the support and the space she needs to get through her change. While Syndey must find a way to be okay with it.
The flow was amazing and I truly felt like I had read a complete novel when I was done. The action, suspense, emotion turmoil, and the steam is AMAZING!

I have been waiting for this book for a while now.
i was hooked from the first page, Kade Sydney are outstanding. We see Syd coming to terms of being a Vamp, she has a criminal after her, he wants her gone.
Kade tries to keep her safe, Syd is not interested of being safe she wants to be human.
Anthony comes to stay to help get the monster that is after her, Kade, Syd, Tony, and Luca go and find the Monster.
It is full of action, secrets and betrayals of close friends.

Kade had to break his promise to Syd and turn her to save her life but Sydney is having a hard time coping with it all. Danger is lurking and Sydney walks right into the middle of it, will everyone survive? Will Sydney and Kade find their way back to one another or drift further apart? Love these two characters, Kym did an excellent job making you feel what Sydney was feeling! I can't wait to see where she takes us next!

Holy crap. I enjoyed Lost Embrace 6.5 just as much if not more than the first one. I had always wondered what happened inbetween sydneys transformation until now. Well kym finally answered all my questions. I love Kade and Sydney and was excited to see there happy ending. Well done Kym Grosso you never cease to amaze me with your talent. If you havent read this series you need to buy it ASAP....one of the best.

This was a very intense, seat of the pants type of read. Kade and Sydney captured my heart even more with their tragic but loving story. Sydney's transition was not what I had expected and her will to fix herself was strong. Kade is so very protective of her and doesn't like seeing her in so much pain and sorrow in a life she feels she has lost. Sydney finds that she has the will to live and finds that she needs Kade more than ever all while finding her independence with her new life. Kym Grosso did an amazing job bringing these characters to life and making me want more.

I can appreciate the plot but the characters put me off completely.
I was never a fan of weak heroines and this novella had more than I can take. Sydney was not what she was portrayed to be in the first book.
Kade as well not so much. He shared her with a friend and now for her benefit again.
I am not a menage fan so that was a disaster for me but the hand job....
I know that this is more of an erotica story so anything goes but it just didn't do it for me....

Awesome story! This is a shorter story with Kade and Sydney, which follows up with the plot points the happened in Book Five so you do have to read up to that point to get this and what is going on. I love Syn, so this was a great story for me to see how things have changed for her since Book One. Don't want to give too much away but there are a lot twist and turns that kept me on the edge of my seat! Can't wait for the next. Great add to the series! Keeps getting better and better!

I was given an advanced copy of "Lost Embrace and loved reading it until the end!!! It was an action-packed, sexy read that I could not put down. Sydney, Kade's fiancé is attacked by a demon. Her life is fading fast, and she could die. Kade sees only one option to save her life...the result will suck you in. This was a super book and as a paranormal reader, you'll love it!!!

Love the continuation of Kade and Sydney. Her struggle with her change and his struggle to make her happy...steamy sex scenes as always and a great story line. Totally had me surprised in the end and can't wait to read more of Kym's books! Kym never disappoints and she definitely didnt with this book!

Not altogether necessary...
Since Kade and Sydney already had their story told, this addendum to a horrific attack on Sydney wasn't expected. Although it does clear up what has become of the detective since the attack. It's a decent enough novella but doesn't really add anything to the series (the .5 stories usually never do). It's always about submitting and sharing in this series and this story is no different. The players may change but the game is still the same. Sydney's old partner from Philadelphia, human Anthony Salucci, is one of the new players in NOLA.
The wrap around story involves an escaped convict Sydney put away who is hell bent on paying her a visit in the Big Easy and evening the score--with her torture and death. Since Kade and Sydney already had their story told, this addendum to a horrific attack on Sydney wasn't expected. Although it does clear up what has become of the detective since the attack. It's a decent enough novella but doesn't really add anything to the series (the .5 stories usually never do). It's always about submitting and sharing in this series and this story is no different. The players may change but the game is still the same. Sydney's old partner from Philadelphia, human Anthony Salucci, is one of the new players in NOLA.
The wrap around story involves an escaped convict Sydney put away who is hell bent on paying her a visit in the Big Easy and evening the score--with her torture and death. Once again, the sex scenes are horribly written, but the rest is written quite well. One thing that I am majorly disliking is the fact that they introduce certain characters as being very good friends, yet they barely get mentioned in the books so it feels disjointed when the author then refers back to the characters. If the characters are supposed to be really good friends.... well I just don't see that. They get mentioned and then ignored. Honestly I'm not sure why I keep reading the series because it follows the same pattern in each book. Only bringing characters back when they serve a purpose, yet the purpose is never the friendship that they are supposed to have; horribly written sex scenes that countermand the well written action and dialogue not found in the sex scenes. Interesting plot ideas, but not always planned out in the best manner.

Highlighting more demon fallout from Léopold’s Wicked Embrace, this novella focuses on Kade and Sydney adapting to a new normal. Sydney’s on leave from her job as a Philadelphia detective but that doesn’t keep her ex-partner out of the fray when he knows an escaped serial killer intent on vengeance knows where Sydney is.
Not quite your average filler between outings full of characters you’ve never seen or will again, nor is it a glimpse of a beloved couple stretching to fill a few pages with a sex-tival (mostly). The gist of this read twists and turns into an outing tailored for Sydney working a real but personal case with a nice teaser guaranteed to impact the series.

I love the cover of this book!
This was another well written, paranormal erotic romance! I'm so addicted to this series, and it's almost over :((
This was a fast paced romance. Kade Issacson is a gorgeous, dominant, alpha vampire, and Sydney Willows is his mate. He is worried over her struggle to feed, since becoming a vampire. In the meantime a murderer who was supposed to be in jail is out.
I really love this series, each story line is different, and always with an alpha and a heroine. Overall, I loved this story line, and I listened to it on Audible and I loved the narrator, Ryan West. The heroine in this story is such an independent and sassy ex-detective, Kade is a loving and protective vampire.
Overall, I am hooked, addicted to this series. Now, on to the next book.
