Second in the Grey Wolves Rising series and part of the overarching "Mating Season" collection, Obsession is a worthwhile addition to the series, but too short to make efficient use of the emotional impact it could have had, had the author spent more time of the backstory of our couple. Zev is one of the werewolves of the Grey Wolves Rising pack, disillusioned with finding his true mate and ready to give it up and go rogue in the wild. Tara is escaping a harrowing life as a caregiver for a mom almost dead of cancer. The couple's chance meeting in a restaurant bar and bathroom is explosive, and the story takes off and doesn't let go in the romance department. Again, had the story been a tad more developed on the backstory of Zev and Tara, it would have been that much better in my opinion.
Still, great for fans of the genre. Off to the next book!

2.5 stars - Obsession is the second in a short set of paranormal werewolf romance series, with each novella focussing on a different werewolf and his mate. Obsession picks up the timeline directly after Temptation. The characters and story arcs are linked between the two novellas, so a small amount of spoilers are in place if you read out of sequence.
Emma Storm's Grey Wolf Rising Series are all short, sweet, undemanding and formulaic, with fairly one dimensional characters and a one track plot device with minor alterations. Each novel is just a couple of hours to read and luckily pretty cheap to buy - the whole series cost around £7, any more and I would have felt cheated.
Nothing to write home about and not one to treasure for always, but a quick reading fix, that you'll likely not remember in the not too distant future.

While sitting in a bar, having something warm to drink, a tall, broad shoulder, handsome, hunk of man walks in. When he suddenly turns and looks at her she chokes on her drink and escapes to the ladies room. While cleaning up the man walks into the ladies room, pushes up against the wall and commences to sniffing her. Sniffing? Really?
Zev knew his true mate was out there somewhere and he is getting ready to move on, to search in another area. He goes to the bar to let his packmate, Forrest, know he is heading out when he smells....death. He follows the woman that he sees, when he turns to look for scent, into the ladies room. Upon shoving her against a wall and scenting her, he discovers she is his mate, but is she ill? Has he found his true mate just to possibly lose her?

Wow, I loved this one !!! Gripping, emotional, deeply moving, and raw. Love Emma Storm's writing, with the build up, the super hot sexiness, and the enticing tale !! Different than most shifter stories, this one has you on edge immediately. Zev goes all out to press Tara for attention, and gets it back just as intensely. Zev is so alpha fierce, he's amazing. In his full press, he shows her his wolf up front, then they get hot and heavy. Wow! We never know the answers to all of our questions, like her past mystery, but it just doesn't matter !! It's all about her acceptance of him and the hot fiery characters we see. This short story is simply riveting! Read it and you'll never regret it. This story has me thinking about it all day long. Highly recommend. E N J O Y !!!

This story was ok i guess. It was mainly a huge sex scene for the majority of the book. I mean I do understand that Zev is a wolf and would recognize his mate and that he has been waiting a long time for her to come along but still. Soon as he meets her they are in bed together. There was also a scene where from the way i took it she was going to try to get the wolf to take her when Zev wouldn't, this kind of bothered me. This honestly had alot of potential but i personally think it didn't happen. And it ended so suddenly as with the first book. More detail needs to be put in about how the change happens and what happens to the couple during and after the change. So these are the reasons i have given this book a 3 star review.

This book two in the Grey Wolves Rising, Zev and Tara's story is gripping, hot and enchanting and will have you craving for more. I was hook by the first chapter. I loved the two characters and how they came together, the instant need for each other, wicked chemistry. The plot it's just as sexy, intense, profound and fierce as the first book in the series, Temptation. Can't get enough of the paranormal romance stories. Emma Storm has another sizzling and well written read. Can't wait for another hot wolf book in the Grey Wolves Rising part of THe Mating Seasons Series.

This is the 2nd book of Emma Storm's Grey Wolves Rising Series and it's just as sexy and intense as the first one, Temptation. Yes, you could read this book first but my advice would be to read them in order. Besides you don't want to miss out on Temptation! This is Zev's and Tara's story and once again Emma Storm comes thru for shifter lovers. Its mating season and Zev's looking for his mate but thinks he looking for a headstone. These books are extremely hot ladies, make sure your fan is set on high, your gonna need it! Not only that but after reading the teaser at the end for the next book, your gonna die waiting for the next one, Obsession!

Zev and Tara's story is omygosh hot and complex in it's intensity. They both have their demons to overcome in personality and past, but Emma does a fine job in making you want them together. It was more than just a sexy tale. The reasons they reacted to each other the way they did were moving, and these characters stuck with me. I enjoyed this book and definitely want to read more from this author.

I was gifted a copy of this book in exchange for an honest opionion. This is one of the hottest short "lusty" books that I've read in a very long time...and I read a lot of novels and short stories (149 and counting this year). The first few lines had me hooked and I was reeled in with the first chapter. Zev and Tara's story is intriguing, exciting, and will have you begging for more.

Gifted a copy for review
In this story we see Zev finding a woman he had a strong reaction to and doesn’t know why. We follow him and Tara on connecting with each other and finding out what secrets they both may hold. I liked the story and the strength that Tara showed while facing the unknown. I can’t wait to read the next piece.

Passionate and Hot
Zev's story is full of passion. It's hot and steamy and makes you wish you could be his Soulmate. Tara is running from Death. She has no idea that she is going to run right into arms of Life. Each of the Grey Wolves Rising books keep getting better. I can't wait to read Forrest book.

Second book in the series and a third of the length of the first story at around 60 pages....but it was on the right path with the tension and emotions - it could've gone a lot further, but the premise was there even if the start was a little fumbled. Again , another fade to black ending *meh*

Really good!
Intense, hot, sexy, all of these and more. Zev is a strong character who wrestles his wolf for dominance. Tara is so well written, it's easy to understand her decisions. Emma Storm writes with feeling and depth. Really enjoyable books.

Surprisingly good
I enjoyed this one better than the book one of the series. Definitely raw sexy short story but has lots of good emotion between the two characters. Is a little sad but only just because endured.

Seriously love this...
Wow, wow, wow...
I am so glad I found this author via kindle unlimited. This book was just as good as book 1 and just wow! There is angst and suspense to keep you turning the page. I'm so excited to continue on in this series. On to book 3!!!
