Running from danger, Raven Shore ends up at The Little Doughnut Shop in the small, quiet town of Erman. She spends her days helping its sweet, elderly owners during peak business hours. With trouble hot on her heels, Raven certainly isn’t looking for more. But she gets plenty when bad boy biker Ronan Dark pops in for a pastry. Everything from the five o’clock shadow peppering his strong jaw to his piercing blue eyes to his black, leather biker boots screams sexy loud enough to burst her eardrums. But any thoughts of romance will have to wait. Raven needs to stay focused to stay safe.
Ronan Dark always looks out for Number One. He makes all of his life decisions based on what benefits him the most. Coming up hard and fast on the streets has made him hard and fast. He lies with ease and is driven by a deeply-ingrained selfishness to survive. It’s not until he meets the kind, honest, funny, curvy and ever-so-beautiful Raven Shore that he begins to consider someone else’s feelings above his own. The problem is, he’s trouble with a capital T. His past actions will bring pain and heartache to Raven if he can’t find a way to undo them.
Doughnut Darlin’ is part of the Plus Size Romance Series. Each book is a standalone with no overlapping characters, storylines or cliffhangers. This series is a perfect combination of romance, steamy love scenes and humor. The stories are sensual and romantic, uplifting and lighthearted. Feel-good reads that leave you feeling great!
This was a lot better than her other Plus Size Romance series books. I thought Raven was sweet and cute and a good person. Definitely innocent. Then we meet dirty talking Ronan Dark. He's a biker with an ulterior motive. He's been hired to find her and bring her back to her step-dad. Who wants her because he's a sicko pervert. Ronan doesnt find this out until talking to Raven. When he first meets her he's confused because he doesnt necessarily believe all the crap her step-dad is shoveling about her. So, he waits to spend time with her and really likes her but wants her side of things. Once he confesses who he is..she doesnt want the explanation. Which she should have heard him out but possibly he should have told her BEFORE he touched her intimately. Although it wasnt sex still...close enough. So, in her defense she feels used. Once her step-dad finds her all hell breaks loose and Sally the owner of the doughnut shop saves the day. LOL. Cute. Now I was bummed that we didnt get to read about Ronan and Raven's first time making love. That was sort of disappointing because there was such a build up to it then boom we get left out. Although we DO read about them making love eventually its still not the same and I am sure some of us are gonna be disappointed. Otherwise it was a good read.
This Plus Size Romance Series rocks! All four of them--Cupcake Cutie, Soft Serve Sweetie, Bon Bon Beauty and Doughnut Darlin' are wonderful. But, Doughnut Darlin' is my favorite. Of course, that's probably because I love bad boy bikers, and Ronan Dark is the hottest and most romantic hero ever. And the heroine, Raven Shore, is so cute, sweet, funny and absolutely adorable. I couldn't get enough of these characters and this story. I can't wait for the next book in this series.
Another great read by Lynn Cooper. Instant attraction to the characters and a sweet and sexy little story to go along with that. Can't wait to read more of these plus size books! Ronan and Raven are my favorite so far.
I love this entire series! Nobody writes Plus Size Romance like this author does. The books are extraordinary and magical! The characters are adorable and memorable!
