Tiffany McCoy's weight loss journey has been featured on the Today Show, the Dr. Oz Show and in Oxygen Magazine. In this book she tells about her 100 pound weight loss journey and exactly what it took to win at weight loss. Whether you are looking to lose 10 pounds or 100 pounds, this book will help you learn the secrets of how to lose weight quickly, and how to keep it off for GOOD!
It's lose, lady. Not loose. If you're a writer, then you should know that and if you don't (obvious) then you have a really shitty editor. Also, you provided nothing new. Kudos for LOSING the weight but seriously, your advice is nothing new.
DNF. This book provides no new weight loss information that hasn’t been taught to us in high school health class or in every doctor written weight loss book at nauseam. Calories eaten vs. calories burned. Keep a food journal. 🙄🥱 If that worked, I would have lost the weight decades ago but I don’t have the personality for food journaling, plus this lady doesn’t have medical conditions to deal with, so she has no problem exercising to lose the pounds. While my rheumatoid arthritis has me in tears after 5 minutes of walking. Anyway, see my specific notes and highlights to see some examples of her “advice.”
I did like her writing style and her encouraging voice.
And this did work for me in my teens through thirties but once I hit my 40s, everything changed. Building up muscle mass is more important. Diet is essential since it's when insulin resistance really pops up. And the hormone fluctuations. I haven't solved this yet but I suspect the answer is that everyone's body is different.
Which brings me back around to why I liked 100lbs later. She advocates being connected with your body and what you eat by tracking daily but only weighing weekly so you can see how you're responding.
The step by step process she gives has really put insight on what I need to do now for myself. I just felt like in the past that I was just all over the place going from low carb to counting calories to high protein then back to counting calories. I would do good for a couple of weeks then get discouraged and fall back into the same routine. I have a step by step plan now and I will try to stay focused this time!
This tells you the very basics of weight loss. If you’ve never dieted or if you don’t know anyone who’s ever dieted, then you may learn something knew. Otherwise, you’ll be disappointed. This is information you can get in any typical weight loss article on the internet. Don’t waste your couple of dollars.
I am 5'4" and weigh 150. I want to get down to 135. I am 81 years old and have COPD and heart issues. I am using weight watchers blue program, but because of my health I can not exercise too robustly. Counting my calories may help better. WW does allow a good deal of meat and fruit.
What a rip off of a Kindle book. Glad I only paid $1.49...not sure it was worth that. The author simply regurgitated diet advice found free anywhere. No real insights or good advice. Do not recommend.
Reading Kindle Unlimited shorts to get ideas for dieting and working out. Ms. McCoy offers several ideas that were new to me. A few things that can get me out of a rut.
Though this book could use a little editing, I enjoyed it. It was laid out well with important concepts repeated throughout the book so that the points stick. The author gave good examples to illustrate her points and gave recommendations for tools to help you on your weight loss journey.
