OMG!!! WTF did I just read?!? I don’t think I will fully recover from this book and I’m a little traumatised by the contents of the book. I feel really bad for Vera and I don’t think I can look at a pool cleaner the same way again.
This book started and finished good as hell, you have Vera cleaning the pool, th vacuum Slate suck the shit out of her. I know it's wrong to want a vacuum but how this vacuum was written, possessive, obsessed, and ready to unalive someone for her was hot. So far my favorite in this book series. The vacuum said she’s his no matter where or what, they’re it, forever, with no ending to what they have.
This was utterly unhinged but I loved it. Slate is so so possessive of Vera and she should've taken the clear hint that she doesn't have a boyfriend at the beginning and maybe this would never have happened... 🤭
Vera thought she had a good boyfriend until she met Slate. Slate has a very possessive side to him. He will not let anyone get between him and Vera. If you want to know what happened to Julian, think of the pool scene in Final Destination 4. This story is a horror romance. I liked it.

🖤 𝓻𝓮𝓿𝓲𝓮𝔀🖤 What a short and satisfyingly spicy read with a plot so unique, it’ll remain with you for a while after you’re done. If you ever thought a story could be spicy with a pool vacuum… this is it. An absolutely wild ride that ends in agony that you won’t be able to look away from. Lane delivers a story that will never make you look at pool cleaning ever again.
*spoilers* Miami is hot and Vera is suffering the wrath of the summer heat. Going to the public swimming pool, she notices how dirty it is and decides to take it upon herself to use the pool vacuum to make it nice and ready for a pool party another tenant plans on hosting. She grabs it out from the shed and drags it over to the pool. After turning it on, she realizes the vibrations fell too good to pass up.
During an intimate moment with the vacuum, it sucks up her shorts and bottoms, sending her over the edge as the vacuum takes the form of a man. But panic sets in when her boyfriend arrives and a jealous side of Slate comes out. And poor Julian is about to learn the hard way not to touch what belongs to him.
🖤𝓸𝓿𝓮𝓻𝓪𝓵𝓵🖤 This one is equal parts spice and bloody fun. A little curiosity that turned into an obsessive relationship with a shape shifting pool vacuum. And with the character set included, there’s no need to visualize his presence. A fun and quick read with a brutal ending.

Miami’s heat is clearly bringing out some very questionable decisions. 😂🔥
Suck Me Harder was another completely chaotic addition to the Cool For The Summer world. Vera starts off simply trying to clean the pool, only to discover that there’s something—or someone—far more unexpected lurking beneath the surface. 👀
Slate definitely steals the spotlight here. His jealous and possessive personality brings a whole new level of drama once Julian enters the picture, and I loved how quickly everything spiraled from a strange encounter into something much more intense.
The human transformation was such a fun twist too. There’s something about watching a seemingly ordinary summer setting turn into a supernatural situation that makes these stories so entertaining. 😂
It’s short, spicy, dramatic, and completely unhinged—and honestly, I’ve learned by now that you should never trust anything living around this apartment complex. 💀🔥
I would read this after I just finished vacuuming like whaaaaat!? I know it’s not the same as a pool vacuum but it’s the suction of it all 😩😂
At first I had a crush on Slate but that quickly went away. I feel so bad for Julian. He’s an innocent and did nothing wrong 😩 Vera should be fighting for him but instead she gets turned on by this Vacuum thing and actual orgasms as he’s damaging Julian 😭😩
Not me over here wanting to fight Slate for what he did. Just rude I tell ya 😂 still a really good, cringe worthy read!

Suck Me Harder is an erotic horror about a character who has a pool vacuum that transforms into a human.
Talia wrote this short story for Cool For The Summer shared world. "Cum for the objects, stay for the cringe" is their motto... soooo.
I went into this completely blind as per usual. And by the 4th paragraph we were already getting into the spice. Ma’am!!
Also, he’s a pool vacuum.
If you've read any of Talia's books, you already know she specializes in erotic horror, so I really should've expected the gore. There are definitely moments where you can just tell Talia was having fun writing this. The spicy spice, the gore, the ridiculousness, the possessiveness, the little bit of sadism... girl, yes!
Sometimes you just need to sit back and watch an author completely commit to a crazy premise they came up with... and I had fun!
Listen, I know a pool vacuum should not be what you want to be with...but if that vacuum is Slate, I am here to tell you that I want it. Vera's boyfriend is a waste, and Slate is not here for it. What happens in this bite sized novella is diabolical in the best of ways! In true Talia Lane fashion, there is smut, bl00d and passion. I think this shared world of sentient objects is a perfect addition to her repertoire of 'wtf, where can I get more?' style books.
Suck Me Harder is short, filthy, gory, and completely fucking unhinged in the best way. Slate is a possessive, jealous, absolutely psychotic pool vacuum who takes “sucking” to a whole new level, and Vera discovers that pool maintenance can be very hands on hehe.
Did I cringe? Absolutely. Did I stare at the pages wondering what the actual fuck I was reading? Constantly. Will I ever look at a pool vacuum the same way again? Absolutely fucking not.
Normally when a hoover is involved it’s with a dude so it a little different since it’s Vera’s thing.
Slate the pool vacuum is a tad obsessed with Vera and nothing good can come of it when Vera’s boyfriend turns up.
To be honest if it wasn’t for the fact I had to get my head around the fact the MMC is a pool vacuum it was a good story. A bit in the dark side but most stories with obsessive character are.
This book is wild from start to finish of it. I love how jealous Slate was especially when he found out about Julian. Vera seemed so innocent at first too. The things that happened within the last few pages had me cringy with the pain that Julian must have felt. I absolutely loved the character art we find at the end of the book!
This erotic horror Suck Me Harder by Talia Lane is an excellent edition to This Shared World of Cool For The Summer Series. Holy Moly! Who knew a Sentient pool vac "Slate"could be so possessively murderous over Vera. And bring her to ecstacy to heights unknown to her. Excellent from start to finish. I highly recommend this book and this series.
This story was so freaking amazing! I seriously loved it! It was so original and I really want to know what it’s like inside of talia’s head when she writes her incredible stories!
I also will never look at a vacuum cleaner the same again…. Seriously she slayed this book so hard and the character art is so beautiful this is definitely a huge recommendation!
A pool vacuum eh… your man not pleasuring you in the way you need him to? His suction ain’t quite up to to your expectations. Well Vera needed something bigger and stronger, and slate fulfilled all her needs, until he turned into a crazy psycho! Hahaha 😂
Oh my goodness! This entire shared world has my jaw dropping.… Some of it makes me squeal and kick my feet and other times so shocked that I have no words to describe my emotions… I swear after I’m done reading through the shared world I’m never gonna look at appliances or a pool the same ever again. I don’t know how I feel about that yet…
Ok, well, no more pool vacuums. Spicy, naughty little book. If you're looking for a (way!) off the path book for a short, fun read, this entire series is it. Good luck cleaning your pool!
Part of the 'Cool for the Summer' series, but can be read as a standalone.
“Is this even reality? I just got eaten out by a pool vacuum. I haven’t even read this shit in my books.” -Vera
Stop. Why was this so funny? Slate did what to Julian? I can’t. It was awful. It was gory. It was great. Poor Vera got what she wanted along with a 80’s horror flick twist. I loved it.
Vera’s boyfriend is useless, so naturally the pool vacuum steps in. Slate is filthy, possessive, gory, and determined to give Vera exactly what she wants, with a gloriously deranged 1980s horror twist thrown in. Pool cleaning will never feel innocent again.
TALIA! I love a Talia read, she's so creative and I've been following her work for some time now. This one.. I know its not the same device, but I may come to fear my vacuum xD
Proper Shared World review will be over in my IG (RaesReadsOx) when complete 21/22 complete
Talk about a possessive relationship 👀 Dang this makes me question if I want to get a pool vacuum or not... What brand was Slate Talia??? Ya know just in case 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Thank you to the author for letting me arc read this book!
Talia girl you have done it again who knew sentient pool cleaners could be so sexy! I love your unhinged mind and i absolutely cannot wait to read more of your future work!
I can’t believe she just let him do that, then continued!?
How dare she! Julian did absolutely NOTHING wrong.
This is a very crazy sentient object book. Definitely a good little crazy read! 10/10 would recommend if you like a little sexy time with your pool vacuum!
This escalated quickly slate the vacuum didn't come to play he had goal set on getting Vera he didn't stop until he got her 😂😂😂 this book was spicy and gory at the same time
