This is not a stand alone, I didn't have to buy the first part of this book it was offered free on Amazon. This book was only 32 pages, so very short. I dislike when authors do this, and the next 32 pages is $1.29 which I won't buy. If it was the rest of the book I probably would bought it, but not chapter by chapter.
The story and plot were good but this really ins't a book, it is more like a chapter. We are left with a cliffhanger at the end.
Earth is dying and sends a female to Cholra. Cholra is a water planet that can make safe drinking water. Up on arriving, she immediately meets the general and they have sex. Sex again, the next day and by the third day they are in a relationship. Romance is really non existent in this book. By the end of the 32 pages, he wants to marry her.
The characters need more development.

I really enjoyed this story. I had to get the second one right away to find out what happened. Love the dynamic between the characters.
