Falling in love has never sounded better

In Pine Falls, no one believes in happily-ever-afters more than Lola Bennett. A lifelong reader, she owns a thriving bookstore devoted to romance. When she lands the chance to host an event with the wildly popular Kate’s Book Club, she jumps at it. Even once she learns that for the next four months, she’ll have to promote the event on social media with Tyler Cole, a romance skeptic who turns out to be the voice behind her favorite audiobooks.

Tyler wasn’t always cynical. After a devastating injury ended his professional rugby career fifteen years ago, he watched his future disappear. Now, newly sober and recovering from a painful divorce, he’s being dragged back into a world he never wanted to revisit: romance. The last thing he needs is to work alongside a woman who seems determined to find the silver lining in everything.

But as the weeks pass, their differences blur. Beneath Lola’s optimism and Tyler’s gruff exterior lie old wounds and guarded hearts. Promoting the event brings them closer, their reluctant partnership growing into undeniable chemistry.

The love story Lola always dreamed of—and Tyler stopped believing in—might just be within reach.

Return to Pine Falls with this cozy, wintery small town romance featuring an age gap relationship, tons of yearning, spice, and a happily-ever-after that’ll melt your heart.

⸜(。˃ ᵕ ˂ )⸝♡ ONE OF THE BEST BOOKS I'VE READ THIS YEAR ⸜(。˃ ᵕ ˂ )⸝♡

Somehow my review was deleted or idk, but I'm writing it again and better because it's actually releasing in a month and Elodie has revealed a couple of things, so finally I can talk a bit more about this book lmao instead of being cryptic about it.

Frost and Found is literally the best thing ever. I loved Lola and Tyler so much, they're soooo my type of characters. Lola is lonely, a sunshine, and always looks out for everyone but herself. Of course she had to find someone who ALWAYS puts her first. And Tyler is that person. Tyler is a bit of a sad boi but also grumpy, and I loved how they started their relationship. It was PERFECT PERFECT PERFECT ♡ ︎

it was so great to be back in pine falls!! i love this little world elodie created and im giddy for any chance to go back!

just like zoey, lola also has a pos parent! it runs in the town i guess because i also wanted to hit him up side the head! why can’t parents just love their kids and why do they have to traumatize them!

tyler and lola fit together like the perfect puzzle piece. she’s so sweet and has that wild side to her but only when tyler brings it out of her. and he’s SO protective of her. i love tyler’s relationship with his mom and sisters! the found family in pine falls is so sweet and everyone is just so tight knit! always supporting one another and i love the cameos!

i can’t wait for the next book!

I went into this book for the CUTE cover, but stayed for the sweet romance between a bookstore owner FMC and a grumpy audiobook narrator MMC 💙

As a romance lover this book felt like such a warm hug!! The FMC, Lola, also has a passion for romance books and was living my dream life owning her own romance focused bookstore. She was such a relatable & lovable character. I adored her sunshine personality + the fact she wants to take care of everyone but had no one to take care of her 🥺

At first I didn’t click with Tyler, but over the course of the book I found myself loving him too!! He was so protective of Lola and the way he took care of her was so sweet. You could tell he adored her sm, plus the yearning was sooo good.

And the yoga class…. 🤭

Elodie Colliard's "Frost and Found" is a great small-town grumpy x sunshine forced-proximity romance between Lola (FMC), who owns a romance bookstore, and Tyler (MMC), a former rugby player and romance audiobook narrator. The two of them met at a mutual friend's engagement party over a year ago, and while there was a clear spark between them, Tyler grumpily shut it down before anything could happen because he was in a bad place. Some time later, Lola has been given the opportunity to host an event for the massively popular Kate’s Book Club, which will surely put her bookstore on the map. Lola is going to have to promote the event on social media with a once very popular romance audiobook narrator named T.H. Foster, who disappeared from narrating but is set to make his comeback during this event. It turns out, T.H. Foster is *Tyler,* and he is the same massive curmudgeon he was back when they met, though he may have his reasons for being that way. The two of them reluctantly orbit around one another as they plan and prepare for the event, but there is no denying that the sparks that were there when they first met are still there. I liked the dynamic between Lola and Tyler. Lola is quite unsure of herself because she has spent her entire life pleasing everyone else so she won't be abandoned, so speaking up for herself, advocating for herself, and telling people what she wants are low on her to-do list. She has always wanted to be seen, be heard, and be loved for who she is, so when Tyler comes crashing back into her life and seemingly mocks, denigrates, and smirks at everything she loves, it puts her on edge and on the defensive. Eventually, she tells him to knock it off or kick rocks, and from that point on, their relationship really takes shape and turns into something sweet and tender. Their pairing felt natural to me, and even though I did want to kick Tyler in the beginning, he won me over in the end. I love how she called him out on his $H1T, given that he made his money from narrating romance audiobooks only to turn around and crap on it because of his own issues. Speaking of issues, I think Colliard balances all of the plot points well here, from both of their traumas, her health issues, his issues with romance/his sobriety/his ex, the romance book club and the promotion of the event, the friend shenanigans, her horrible dad, and Tyler's eventual venture back into rugby (sort of!). As with the first book in this series, I loved the found family aspect, and I liked how Lola's pals welcomed Tyler into the fold with open arms. What happened at the very end felt authentic to real life (don't want to spoil too much since it's at the veeeery end of the book and impacts the conclusion, but we all know how cesspool-y the internet can be, so what happens felt realistic to me). I absolutely haaaaaated Lola's dad. I wanted her to slap him so badly, but that's not the kind of character she is. It made me so mad that she constantly gave him the benefit of the doubt despite years of him abus1ng her! I know that it is not in her nature to be combative, but if anyone deserved it, it was her dad. ICK. Her dad and his horrendous treatment of her is why there are memes all over social media about eldest daughters having autoimmune disorders!! Anywaaaaaaaaaaays... I enjoyed this book. I think it is well-paced, if a touch long. It's got some good spice, a great commentary on women's health and how women are often not believed by doctors/$h1tty parents (usually men!!!), and an interesting plot about finding happiness again during sobriety. Can't wait for the next book in this series (please?!?).

Frost And Founded❄️
Firstly,I wanted to thank LoveNotes PR & Elodie Colliard for trusting me with this ARC!💫
Lola Bennett is the one person that supports her whole life's theory based on the existence of Happily Ever After.
As an life long avid reader & a bookshop owner,of course she will jump into an opportunity to host an event with a popular book club, and she will later understand also work together with Tyler Cole,a cranky/not so romantic man,for the promotion.
So,for Lola her own Christmas miracle has just begun!
WHAT DID SHE EVEN PUT IN THAT BOOK?🫪
Frost and Found was an amazing, one sitting read for me,perfect for the upcoming snowy season.
Colliard's writing is amazing, addictive and perfect to get you into the mood between Christmas lights,HEAs and hotties who will find their own other half in the next pages.
Tyler was my dream man.Period.
I do not know what this man had,but he was charming, charismatic and cold easily make me and of course Lola do whatever he said.BUT OF COURSE,we have a true gentleman over there, and a person who managed to overcome addiction, and get into the other side.Have I said that those boys made me extremely proud?Lola on the other side,I think is the on page book girl that every reader is.Her whole life was filled with books, living in a small town, running a bookstore and even how she met her man had to do with books.TRULY MY GIRL WAS A DREAM!🌷
Plus, she was steamy, fierce, beautiful and the person I want to be when I grow up.She never gave up on her dreams, while being available to everyone who needed her,and also being her dad's support system, which had a really big impact f her life.
With Tyler, they were the IT 2026 Christmas couple that would make you giggle your feet under the tree with hot chocolate by hand.
So,if you love books, strong men ( and I am not talking only physically Jes🧐),and absolutely impeccable Xmas vibes,Frost and Founded is the perfect suggestion to your TBR!🎄

5⭐️ for Frost and Found by Elodie Colliard

Real life got in the way of me binging this one, it forced me to enjoy it slowly and I enjoyed every single second I spent with this story. Tyler and Lola are amazing together, and I loved them both so so much.

I fell quicky for the MMC, because Tyler, the man that you are! He cooks for her, finds every opportunity he can to take care of her, wears sl*tty little shorts (I repeat, THE MAN WEARS SL*TTY LITTLE SHORTS!!! I almost combusted on sight), loves her cat, and has worked so hard on himself to become a better man. He has his flaws, but that's exactly why I loved him so much; he's not perfect, he's done wrong in the past, but he's made amends and recognized his errors.

Lola was such a fantastic FMC; she adores romance, is stubborn and tough as nails even if her sweet exterior doesn't show it, because she's had to be to survive her rocky childhood and relationship with her dad. I loved that she created herself a chosen family with her friends, and I loved seeing all their cameos as they are characters from Elodie's previous books.

I screamed a few times, I giggled a lot, I swooned like crazy and got hot and bothered a lot too because those spicy scenes were hot AF. The chemistry between Tyler and Lola was scorching, the man was simply down bad for her in the absolute best way, even if he tried to fight it.

Add to that the small town atmosphere, a snow storm (only one bed, anyone?) and lots of banter and you have yourself a fabulous romcom I adored and couldn't get enough of.

Thank you so much to Elodie for a copy in exchange for a review. All opinions are my own.

I’m so sad it’s over, I want ten bonus epilogues!

I've never been happier that some character art showed up on my feed and led me to this book. Not only is the cover beyond beautiful, but the inside matches too. These two had the sweetest romance, and for a romance hater like Tyler, that was a wild thing to imagine when they first met. The amount of growth, change, and acceptance it took for them to fully give in made their love real and a thing to fight for.

Lola was a dream of an FMC. She was lonely, yes, but made the best of it; she surrounded herself with the best people, she was the friendliest and kindest to those around her, she fought to maintain friendships even in the busy days and never let anyone down. But she needed someone to be there for her, to push her to be fearless and imagine romance, not as a book, but as her life.

Tyler saw her, and even when time passed, he remembered her. His life hadn't been easy; he didn't believe in love like he once did, but he was fighting to regain a life he could be proud of. And what do you know, romance books and a romance convention threw him in the arms of that woman he saw once. He did fight it a bit, because he needed to like himself before he believed anyone could like him, but the slow burn paid off.

They were a LOVE STORY, capital letters, full stop. They learnt the other's love language; they admired the other's passions, and their chemistry was palpable. I for sure will need to read book one, because if it's anything like this, I know I'll love it too!

Thank you so much to Elodie, LoveNotes, and NetGalley for this arc!

Returning to Pine Falls was such a treat & this time it brought with it cozy winter vibes!

We met Lola as the romance bookstore owner in the previous book and I really liked her from the start. Imagine having your favorite male narrator be the star of the big book event you’re supposed to host. And then imagine that narrator be an ex rugby player who you met one night last year and surprisingly is not a fan of romance? Blasphemy!

Starting lightly, it was so much fun to see Lola and her female friends very passionately advocating for romance giving all very valid reasons why the genre is so important and at the same time very stigmatized. Meanwhile, our MMC, Tyler slowly understanding it and putting aside his bad experiences being freshly divorced and losing all the fate in love.

Being in close proximity since they had to work together for months these two start to get to know each other and become friends/neighbors with obvious attraction from both sides. I loved the natural progression of their relationship.
The attentiveness of this man!!!! Dear god!
This man lived in an illusion that he was not romantic but everything he did was with such care and affection. I wish everyone had their own Tyler.

This story besides being deliciously sweet and spicy has also a deeper level and deals with some heavier topics that these characters peal of in layers as their trust in one another increases. I won’t list them here but you can find them at the beginning of the book.

If you’re looking something to warm you up, like these two did in their matching pajamas watching romantic movies, with all the heartwarming and relatable moments then I suggest you read this age gap romance set in this cozy small town with bunch of amazing friends.

I have really enjoyed some of Elodie Collard’s other books! This one was written well, and the premise was really fun.

My personal issues came from two of the plot points. They just are ones that really grate on me every time I read them, so it becomes hard for me to be objective about everything else. So, for those who also do not enjoy when a MC is unable to stand up for themselves in emotionally abusive family relationships, it is a warning that this one has a really intolerable one for the FMC. I am going to need to see a grown ass adult woman have some backbone (or a plan for one) if I am going to be able to enjoy her. The other was the MMC was not very likeable. To establish his hangups, I felt pulled back and forth by the way he was written. He was a little too self-pitying for my taste. I’ve seen ex-athletes that are struggling with closure/depression written so much more compelling. He was just a little too mopey for me.

I think if you are someone that can brush off those things, you will enjoy the unique setting and premise of this book.
Thank you for the opportunity to read and review in advance.

I wanna start by first giving a HUGE Thank You to @LoveNotesPR and @ElodieColliard for giving me and eARC of Frost and Found! I literally sat in the parked car to finish the prologue snippet and was filled with only thoughts of Tyler and Lola after. So when I later got the email for the ARC! Flabbers were gasted and NOW Tyler and Lola are embedded in my heart.

❄️📖 RELEASES NOV 10th 📖❄️

This one’s for the BOOKISH GIRLIES! A Romance Bookstore owner plus a grumpy romance audiobook narrator. Let me tell you now it’s the combination to a book babes heart!

LOLA: The sweet baby ANGEL, that she is. Found her escape in the pages of books like most of us. She knows that feeling when a sentence in a book speaks so DEEPLY to your core that you finally have the words to explain what you felt all alone in. So she won’t let anyone downplay the Romance genre that her business is built on and she loves so much.

TYLER: Now Tyler is a grumpy romance audiobook narrator. He’s got a frigid outlook on love but his constant cold demeanor towards romance may be what allows him to wear tiny slutty shorts for all the planned activities. Or it could be to show off those thick thighs the internet definitely wants to know.

The electric flow of connection these two start off with as strangers in the prologue was PALPABLE and I was eating it up! I love the community and the found family aspect of this book the group of friends are hilarious and so supportive. I felt so seen and connected to Lola and her love for the romance genre as a whole (books/movies). I definitely connect with the idea that a “silly romance” novel can help you find the exact words, give you the escape, laughs and that happily ever after that gives hope for your own story. Now Tyler, he we definitely grow to love the protective teddy bear that he is but I think his character arc is written so well you see how deep his hurt that made him jaded goes and the struggles he faces for a comeback in more than one way. Frost and Found spices up a grumpy/sunshine romance in a dynamic story.

My second Elodie Colliard book and my second visit to Pine Falls, and I think I’m officially a fan of her writing!

There’s just something about Elodie’s writing that makes it so addictive and easy to get into. The banter is amazing, genuinely entertaining, and one of my favorite parts of the story. I also really enjoyed the characters and their personalities. Lola is such a great FMC: strong, smart, and straightforward, and I loved that she knew who she was. The MMC, Tyler, is grumpy at first, but in a way that works. He’s still likable, well-written, and easy to root for.

One thing I appreciate about Elodie’s books is how she tackles deeper, more sensitive topics. She approaches them with care and realism, adding depth to the story without making those elements feel out of place.

I’m also not usually the biggest fan of age-gap romances, but this one worked for me! Their maturity levels felt compatible, and I liked that the story didn’t revolve around their age difference or make it an unnecessarily huge issue.

And their relationship? So sweet! 🥹 The progression felt natural without dragging, and I loved watching them grow closer. I’m especially happy that this one didn’t rely on miscommunication or a third-act breakup to create drama. Give me a solid romance where the characters can actually communicate with each other!

Overall, Frost and Found was such a cozy, sweet, and well-written romance. It took me a while to finish because life got busy, but I enjoyed this so much, and it was absolutely worth the read. Elodie has definitely earned a spot on my list of authors to keep reading!

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the ARC!

Okay okay okay, GIRLS. OKAY.

We meet Lola, the owner of a romance bookstore who’s been tasked with organizing one of the biggest bookish events. The event will feature a smut narrator that literally no one knows the identity of. Except she already knows him and just didn’t realize it.

I absolutely adored Lola. She’s such a beautiful character who’s been through a lot and is terrified of being abandoned. I connected with her so much and really loved the way she is, the way she treats people, and the way she sees others. It’s honestly so beautiful.

Tyler (yum) completely won me over. He hasn’t had it easy, and I love how he’s trying to become the best version of himself, both for himself and for the people around him. He is incredibly sweet.

The town is really nice. Characters from the author’s other books make appearances, and they’re so fun and so cute.

The pacing is SO good, and it has the perfect combination of all our favorite tropes, like “hotel in the middle of nowhere + only one bed” and grumpy x sunshine.

Without a doubt, one of the scenes that made me scream the most was the yoga scene (if you read it, you’ll know exactly what I mean).

If you love second chance romances filled with romantic moments and grand gestures, this is 100% the book for you.

I’m going to be recommending this author nonstop because, seriously, she’s incredible.

Thank you so much to Victory Editing NetGalley Co-op for allowing me to read this as an ARC through NetGalley! I absolutely LOVED this. This is in my top ten reads of this year so far, and I've read over 140 books this year at the time of writing this review!

Lola and Tyler are everything. They are the epitome of grumpy and sunshine, and I was living for it throughout the entire story. It was incredibly well done, and I just couldn't get enough of it. Tyler was this tortured soul who was going through a lot mentally and emotionally, and had every reason to be grumpy like he was, but then you had Lola, who loves love and romance, and she just wants to be loved and give all the love she can give, and becomes the sunshine to his clouds.

I was living for the bookshop owner/audiobook narrator vibes, and that he was an ex-athlete gave it that edge of sports romance vibes too. I literally can't explain enough how much I loved this book without going into spoilers too. There was just so much emotional depth and growth (especially on Tyler's end), and these characters are flawed, but they're so lovable, and you just end up adoring them completely. They're forever in my heart.

This was my first book I've read by Elodie Colliard, but it will certainly not be my last!

A cozy, heartwarming, age-gap small-town romance that feels like a big, warm hug for every romance book lover 📖❄️🎧.

As a romance reader myself, I absolutely adore reading about a heroine who shares the exact same passion for the genre. There is something so satisfying about seeing a bookish girl find a man who genuinely cherishes, loves, and cares for her. The bookstore setting and the romance book club elements gave the entire story such a welcoming, cozy atmosphere. The age gap and yearning added just the right amount of emotional depth and spice. A lovely, heart-melting winter read!

A huge thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for providing an eARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Cold Days, Warm Hearts and So Much Yearning

I came for the bookshop and the grumpy audiobook narrator. I stayed for the care, the vulnerability and the sheer amount of kicking my feet this romance caused.

⭐ 5/5
🌶️ 4/5

Frost and Found by Elodie Colliard is a cosy contemporary romance and the second book in the When in Pine Falls series, told through Lola and Tyler’s dual first-person perspectives. A romance bookshop owner working with the man behind her favourite audiobooks was already a premise I wanted to read. Add a wintery small town and a grump who’s deeply unimpressed by romance, and I was very ready to see what happened.

Lola Bennett has the opportunity to host an event with Kate’s Book Club, but promoting it means working alongside Tyler Cole for the next four months. She believes wholeheartedly in happily-ever-afters. Following a painful divorce, Tyler has rather less enthusiasm for the subject. Their partnership gives them plenty to disagree about, particularly when Lola discovers exactly whose voice she’s been listening to. Her reaction to that revelation was such a fun part of the opening.

Lola’s enthusiasm for books and the life she’s built around them drew me to her, and I loved seeing her professional goals remain important throughout the story. As more of her vulnerability emerged, I understood what it cost her to keep finding joy despite her loneliness and difficult experiences. That gave her optimism more depth and made me increasingly fond of her. She’s capable and used to looking after everyone, while still needing care and reassurance herself.

Through Tyler’s dry humour and sometimes difficult interactions, his perspective helped me understand how his divorce, sobriety and lasting injury shape what he believes he can offer someone. His growing openness moved me because it involved choices he had to make for himself, including recognising his mistakes and taking responsibility. I grew more sympathetic towards him without needing every rough edge smoothed away, and his softer side completely won me over.

Between the banter, the attraction and the way they gradually learnt to recognise what the other person needed, Lola and Tyler had me giggling and kicking my feet. Their imperfect but sincere attempts to help made me believe in the relationship, with practical expressions of care becoming some of my favourite moments. Watching them learn to accept that care mattered just as much. There’s something very affecting about being seen when you’re used to managing alone.

Their contrasting personalities keep the banter lively, while their conversations gradually reveal how much more there is to understand. I enjoyed the hesitation and anticipation; I wasn’t sitting there wishing they’d hurry up. By the time the relationship developed further, the emotional connection gave the physical chemistry more weight. The intimate scenes suited them, and I felt the same sense of attention and vulnerability running through those moments.

The ten-year age gap adds different experiences without making the relationship feel unequal. Both retain their independence, and their growing respect matters when they disagree. Their conflicts made sense in light of their histories, and I found the attempts to communicate and repair mistakes convincing. They’re imperfect people whose contradictions made them feel human.

With Lola’s health difficulties affecting her energy, emotions and everyday decisions, being listened to carries real weight in her story. Tyler’s pain and feelings about his changed body receive similar attention, and I appreciated that his progress included learning to accept his physical limitations. His sobriety remains an ongoing process involving personal responsibility and a support network. Their relationship becomes a meaningful source of support within lives that continue to require care and effort.

Around them, Pine Falls feels lived-in through the bookshop routines, friendships and familiar faces. The winter atmosphere was a constant pleasure, and the found family feeling gave the story warmth. The supporting cast helped me understand the leads without overwhelming them. I also stayed interested in the book-club event itself: Lola’s work has stakes, and the professional storyline gives their partnership a purpose beyond putting them in the same room.

Both perspectives stayed distinct and equally enjoyable, and the pacing let the emotional moments breathe while keeping me eager to continue. The humour offered relief without brushing aside the difficult material. By the final section, those emotional scenes had become the strongest part for me. The HEA felt earned and wonderfully comforting, and the epilogue left me smiling. I finished with no major criticism—just a great deal of affection for Lola, Tyler and the community around them.

If you love cosy small-town romances with plenty of yearning, a grumpy audiobook narrator and a heroine who adores romance books, I’d wholeheartedly recommend Frost and Found. It’s perfect for curling up with over Christmas, but I’d happily recommend it any time of year. The banter had me giggling, and the care and vulnerability gave this relationship my whole heart. I can’t wait to return to Pine Falls.

Thank you to Elodie Colliard and NetGalley for providing me with an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

📝 My thoughts
I adore this romance set within the world of romance.

Lola Bennett is our FMC, building community in the small town of Pine Falls, British Columbia, through her independent romance bookstore One Last Chapter (great name!). She’s been selected by a major national book club (think Oprah or Reese levels of huge) to host a big deal book event: Romance is for Lovers. The event will not only put Lola’s store and her romance-themed events on the map, it’ll also bring reclusive audiobook narrator T.H. Foster out of retirement.

T.H.’s identity as Tyler Cole (our MMC) is revealed to Lola and her friends pretty much from the jump. As is the fact T.H. is Lola’s favourite narrator. That Tyler is a former rugby star, newly sober and recently divorced takes more time to discover.

Elodie balances the sweetness of Tyler and Lola’s getting-to-know-you storyline with the bitterness of their backstories: her less-than-ideal upbringing, relationship with her father and health issues (PCOS/PMOS) and his career-ending injury, alcoholism and divorce. And, of course, a touch of spice! (A bit like the ideal hot chocolate for our heroine.)

What worked for me was how our MMC and FMC allowed themselves to get to know each other despite their past hurts, asked for more than they perhaps had in the past, and showed up in ways that surprised and delighted each other. Elodie treats the reader to ‘you jump, I jump’ and ‘fuck it’ moments. And Tyler’s Christmas present to Lola? 🔥

Shout-out to the supporting characters: Lola’s friends are a delight, but the real MVPs are Tyler’s mum and sisters (love that Cole Girls Only group chat).

As per usual, I’ve dropped into a series out of order. I haven’t read Hoax and Kisses (Pine Falls #1), but didn’t feel this affected my enjoyment of Frost and Found. I’m eager now to read the other stories that follow the romances of Lola’s friends.

If the author would like to take a page from Julia Whelan’s playbook*, I’d love to read Our Burning Summers or, better yet, listen to it narrated by an IRL T.H. Foster.

❝ Quotable quotes:
“She craved an all-consuming love that chose her, every single time. Whispered confessions over candlelight dinners, hands that reached for her first, a heart she’d call home. What would it feel like to be someone’s everything?” – Lola’s favourite quote from Our Burning Summers

🎯 Perfect for readers who enjoyed...
For meta-romance, two that spring immediately to mind are:
📚🎧 Thank You for Listening by Julia Whelan for audiobook narrators, hidden identities and romance about people whose professional lives are already steeped in romance.
📚🎧 Book Lovers by Emily Henry for publishing-industry professionals finding themselves in their own small-town romance.
🎥 In homage to Elodie’s Francophone background, I’m throwing in the film Jane Austen a gâché ma vie (Jane Austen Wrecked My Life). A delightful film that sees our main girl Agathe, a Parisian bookseller, whose immersion in other people’s love stories doesn't necessarily mean she's got her own figured out. Bisou.
📚 And of course, Elodie’s earlier series It’s Always Been You for cozy Canadian romance vibes.

📖 Would I borrow, buy or skip this?
💳 Absolutely buy. There’s a pre-order incentive up on the author’s website with the swooniest swag. (Sadly, the pricing for Australia is wild, but for UK, US and Canadian readers, your indie bookshops have got you sorted!)

Frost and Found completely stole my heart! 🥹❤️ I had the BEST time with Lola and Tyler, and honestly, these two are everything I could ever want in a romance. There's something about a girl who spends her whole life making sure everyone around her is okay while quietly struggling herself, only to meet a man who makes it his personal mission to take care of HER for once. Lola deserves the entire world, and Tyler understood the assignment!

Lola is such a lovable mix of warmth, stubbornness, and hidden fire. She's a hopeless romantic with a heart of gold, but underneath all that sweetness is a girl who's had to grow up way too fast and learn to be strong when the people who should have protected her failed her. Watching her find happiness, build her own little family, and finally experience the kind of love she deserves made me so emotional. And don't even get me started on her father. WHY ARE SOME PARENTS LIKE THIS?! 😭 Between him and Zoey's situation, Pine Falls really needs to start handing out parenting classes because WHAT IS WRONG WITH THESE PEOPLE?!

And then there's Tyler. Oh, TYLER. That grumpy, slightly broody man had me wrapped around his little finger before I even realized what was happening. The way he looks after Lola, remembers the little things, cooks for her, adores her cat, and constantly finds ways to make her life easier? I'M UNWELL. He's not someone who gets everything right, and that's part of what made him so special to me. He's made mistakes, carries his own baggage, and has had to confront parts of himself that weren't so pretty. But he takes responsibility, grows, and genuinely tries to be better. There's something incredibly attractive about a man who doesn't just promise to change but actually puts in the work. And when it comes to Lola, this man is absolutely GONE. The protective instincts, the quiet acts of love, the way he puts her needs first without making her feel like she's a burden? PLEASE, SOMEONE FIND ME MY OWN TYLER.

Also, can we PLEASE discuss those tiny shorts?! SIR. THE SHORTS. I was already falling for him, and then Elodie decided to throw that detail into the mix. I needed a moment to collect myself. 🫠

Their relationship was everything I wanted and more. The tension, the teasing, the chemistry, the way their personalities balance each other so beautifully... I was grinning at my book like an absolute idiot. Lola brings out a softer, more playful side of Tyler, while he gives her the security to let her guard down and discover parts of herself she doesn't always show the world. They fit together so naturally, like two people who unknowingly needed exactly what the other had to offer. And THE SPICE? GOOD LORD. 🔥 These two had me kicking my feet, giggling, blushing, and staring at the pages with my mouth hanging open. Tyler being completely obsessed with Lola is my favourite thing ever, and I will never get tired of a man who is down horrendous for his girl.

The small-town setting made everything even better. Being back in Pine Falls felt like returning to a place where I already had a home, and I loved getting little glimpses of familiar faces from Elodie's previous books. The friendships, the cameos, the way everyone shows up for one another, and that beautiful sense of community made this story feel so comforting. The found family aspect will always get me, especially when you see characters who haven't necessarily had the easiest lives finally find people who choose them and love them wholeheartedly.

And of course, we have a snowstorm, forced proximity, one bed, and enough banter to keep me smiling for days. Honestly, what more could a romance girl possibly ask for?!

Frost and Found gave me butterflies, made me laugh, got me emotional, and had me swooning over Tyler at every possible opportunity. Lola and Tyler's story was sweet, steamy, heartfelt, and full of those little moments that make you fall completely in love with fictional people. Elodie has created such a wonderful world with Pine Falls, and every visit leaves me wanting to stay a little longer.

I NEED THE NEXT BOOK ALREADY. I AM NOT READY TO LEAVE PINE FALLS! 😭❤️

✨Summary✨
Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.25
Spice: 🌶️🌶️🌶️.5
HEA: Yes, no 3rd act breakup
POV: Dual
Tropes: Grumpy x Sunshine, Age Gap (28/38), Forced Proximity, Romance Narrator x Romance Bookstore Owner, Found Family, Small Town, PCOS/PMOS rep, Opposites Attract, Alcoholism rep, Slow Burn, Ex-Rugby Player

Lola is a hopeless romantic who owns a romance bookstore. When she’s given the opportunity to host a major book event, she’s thrilled, until she discovers she’ll be working alongside Tyler, a grumpy former rugby player who also happens to be the voice behind her favorite romance audiobooks. Tyler is recently divorced after spending 20 years with his ex-wife and is still finding his footing in sobriety. He’s become pretty cynical about love and only plans to stay in town for a few months. But when he’s given the opportunity to coach the local girls’ high school rugby team, he finds himself reconnecting with a sport he once loved and remembering what made it so special to him. Between coaching, working with Lola, and the friendships he’s forming, the little town is slowly getting its hooks into him and giving him more and more reasons to stay. As Tyler and Lola spend time together preparing for the book event, their attraction becomes harder to ignore. But with Tyler still figuring out what he wants his future to look like, falling for Lola might be the biggest unexpected change of all.

I really enjoyed Tyler and Lola together! Tyler might be a grump, but underneath that exterior is such a sweet and thoughtful caretaker. I especially loved how attentive he was to Lola’s needs, including her struggles with PCOS/PMOS. The way he was so completely unbothered by discussing her period and other symptoms was refreshing.

One of my favorite things was watching Tyler navigate his feelings for Lola. After being with the same woman for 20 years, she’s the first person he’s genuinely interested in, and seeing how nervous he was about making their first date perfect was adorable.

Lola has her own struggles, particularly with a manipulative parent, and I loved that she had such a wonderful found family surrounding. It was sweet watching someone who gives so much of herself to others finally have someone else looking out for her.

While I enjoyed Tyler and Lola’s relationship, I did struggle with the pacing. I love a good slow burn, but this one felt a little too drawn out. There were so many moments where it seemed like their relationship was finally going to move forward, only for things to stall again. After a while, I found myself getting impatient and just wanting them to finally take that next step! But I will say I’m still giggling at that couples yoga mixup and how hot it turned…

Despite the pacing, this was still a sweet and spicy romance with plenty of heart. Tyler’s softer side and the genuine care he showed Lola were definitely highlights for me. I also loved watching him rediscover his passion for rugby and slowly find a sense of belonging in a town he never intended to call home. Seeing a man who had given up on love and was unsure of his future find reasons to put down roots and take another chance at happiness made this a surprisingly heartwarming read.

First of all, a big thank you to NetGalley and to the author for allowing me to read this book ! <3

WARNING: spoilers ahead!

"Frost And Found" follows the stories of both Lola Bennett –a full-time romance reader, owner of a cozy bookshop in Pine Falls– and Tyler Cole –a grumpy retired rugby player who's known for being an audiobook narrator–. Lola is offered the chance to host and organize a book event, and a very-desperate-for-money-Tyler is invited as a collaborator, too. T.H. Foster has always been Lola's favourite narrator... But what she doesn't know is that she met the man himself some time ago, and he left her stranded.

When I was given the opportunity to read this book before it's release date, I KNEW it was going to be good, but it definitely surpassed my expectations! The book's cover + its description already had me in, but after reading it I can confirm it is PERFECT !

I loooooved, loved, loved Lola! She's just such a relatable young woman, it's impossible to not love her <3 I think it's one of the only times I've felt fully reflected on a reader FMC, and the evolution of her character when it came to setting boundaries? Absolute. Cinema. I also really enjoyed getting to know how PCOs work and how to treat them through Lola's character (because what are books for, if not for learning a bit of everything?!). I just love her and I'll repeat it to anyone who listens.

And girls, be SO ready to fall in love with Tyler Cole. DARE I SAY, one of the best MMCs I've read this year! A reeeeal yearner, attentive, possessive & sensitive. Oh... And have I mentioned he's older, has a moustache and amazing thighs? What else could a girl ask for?! Plus, I cannot express how proud I am of this fictional character! Alcoholism is a topic treated in many books, but the way it was introduced in this story was BEAUTIFUL. He and his story made me tear up a few times, but I'd gladly cry for this man.

This read wasn't the kind that makes you feel sick of passing through empty pages and characters; it's the kind of book that makes you giggle, cry, laugh and blush like a girl in love. Lola and Tyler are the definition of healthy relationship, with flashing lights and sparkle all over it. I don't feel like there was anything I missed or would've liked to read more about: the perfect amount of everything make a great recipe, and this book is the proof. I just can't wait until everybody becomes obsessed over these two like I am !!!!

In conclusion, "Frost And Found" was a quick, addictive and, honestly, perfect read! I definitely will remember Lola and Tyler for a looooong, long time, and I'm SO ready to read everything Elodie Colliard ever writes !! <3

❄️You're essential to me - do you understand?❄️

Tyler Cole the man that you are!

I adored being back in Pine Falls. This time we follow Lola, who owns a romance only bookshop and is striving to make her business successful whilst balancing life, her health and her very demanding relationship with her father. Tyler bursts into her world just when he's at his lowest. Whilst he can't deny his attraction, it's the wake up call he needs to find his way back to himself. After a devastating injury led to the end of his rugby career and his marriage, Tyler falls into being an audiobook narrator. A year after their initial meeting, Tyler returns to Pine Falls to help Lola with the book event that will be her big break. It's a pity that he's totally cynical about romance, or so it may seem.

There were so many things that I loved! The prologue had me absolutely hooked (who knew that a buffet and a photo booth would be so hot?) and my enjoyment of Tyler and Lola's dynamic just grew from there. I really appreciated the thoughtful way in which both characters were developed. Tyler, as a divorced man, was completely three dimensional. It's not often you find stories where a character reflects so deeply about their part in a relationship breakdown and has really done the emotional work to prepare to be a better partner. Lola was just so delightful in her joy and advocacy for romance as a genre. It was easy to feel seen by her character as someone who feels society's judgement for loving romance stories. Also, the representation of PMOS was compassionately done and Tyler was all green flags in this regard.

Together, Tyler and Lola were equal parts flirty, sweet, spicy and heartfelt. I could have spent hours more with them. In short, I loved it!

This book is the most grounded and layered of her works to date.
I loved the concept of the whole book based around a romance convention and Lola’s conviction to support the romance community. I think this is so great in a time where people are really publicly shaming the value of the romance genre.
Lola was one of my favourite side characters in the other books so it’s amazing to finally see her fleshed out.
She was so loyal and open and giving, to a fault in so many situation especially with her father, that storyline was heartbreaking.
I was so grateful to read more chronic health rep as it’s not done enough and I feel like the author did a beautiful job.
Tyler is a mess quite literally when we start the book, again he was another side character I was interested in. He is bad far the most flawed of her MMCs and I was here for it.
He was unapproachable, protective and scared but finally let Lola in.
His love of his sister and crochet habit was flipping adorable.
His bravery to be honest with Lola and break down in her arms was very be of my favourite scenes written this year.
There spicy scenes were so intimate, sexy and caring.
This was becoming one of my favourite reads of the year untill… the story pivoted to Tyler being shamed online for his past drunken behaviour and everything felt super messy.
I am going to sit on this and maybe give it a higher rating later. But instinctively when I read this last quarter I was just so disappointed in Tyler and his past actions that I couldn’t get back to falling in love with him.
Lola forgave him so easily and I think maybe if there was a scene where they had a more in depth discussion I would have felt a little more at ease with her choice to support him.
Overall it was a beautiful and messy read on purpose because that’s what life is. Especially when you dealing with big issues like chronic health and addiction.

This was such a wonderful romance, and Tyler quickly became one of my favorite MMCs. Beneath his grumpy exterior is a thoughtful, caring man who shows his affection through the little things he does for Lola. From cooking for her and caring for her cat to being understanding and supportive of her PCOS, he made me fall for him more with every chapter. I especially appreciated his character development and the way he took responsibility for his past mistakes. Lola was equally lovely. Her passion for romance, strong personality, and resilience made her easy to root for, and I loved seeing her learn to prioritize herself and recognize that she deserves the same love she so freely gives to others.

The chemistry between Tyler and Lola was fantastic, and their relationship developed at a satisfying pace. The banter, forced proximity, and small town setting made this such an enjoyable read, while the romantic and spicy moments added even more to their connection. I also appreciated the thoughtful handling of deeper subjects, including Tyler's struggles with alcohol and Lola's PCOS. These elements gave the characters additional depth without taking away from the warmth and humor of the story. The supporting cast was another highlight, and seeing familiar characters from Elodie's previous books made the experience even more enjoyable.

Overall, this book reminded me why I love romance novels so much. The story takes its time developing the characters and their relationship, allowing readers to become genuinely invested in their journey. I loved the balance of humor, emotional depth, romance, and spice, and I could easily have spent more time with these characters. If you enjoy grumpy sunshine, age gap romance, charming small towns, and a hero whose actions reveal just how deeply he cares, this is definitely a book worth picking up.
