DEATH BY PUMPKIN SPICE: A Pumpkin Hollow Cafe Mystery

Rate this book
When a handsome documentary filmmaker turns up dead in a pumpkin at Pumpkin Hollow's biggest autumn festival, Tessa Greenwood—owner of The Lantern Cup coffee shop—becomes the town's most suspicious suspect. But the murder isn't just a small-town mystery. It's a warning.

Pumpkin Hollow, Vermont, has hidden something for generations. Beneath the charming Halloween decorations, cozy cafés, and festival cheer lies a darker the town's founding families once practiced magic, and someone is trying to resurrect it.

As Tessa investigates Milo Creed's death, she uncovers stolen heirlooms, forbidden herbs that shouldn't exist, and a conspiracy rooted in family pride and forgotten power. Her best friend Lorna is framed. The town is fracturing. And the magical ward protecting Pumpkin Hollow from paranormal chaos is destabilizing.

With her grandmother's cryptic guidance, a suspicious police detective, and a black cat who seems to know more than he should, Tessa must stop the killer before the ritual opens something that should have stayed sealed—and before autumn's magic consumes the town she loves.

In Pumpkin Hollow, everyone has secrets. Some of them are dangerous.

Perfect for fans of paranormal cozies with small-town mystery, magical heritage, and a touch of seasonal romance.

Death by Pumpkin Spice is a wonderfully cozy and entertaining mystery with all the autumn atmosphere I could ask for. The Pumpkin Hollow Cafe setting is charming, and the combination of seasonal treats, small-town secrets, and a puzzling murder made this such an enjoyable read.

I loved following the investigation and trying to piece together the clues. There were plenty of suspicious characters and unexpected turns, and just when I thought I had everything figured out, another revelation changed my mind. The mystery kept me curious right through to the satisfying conclusion.

The cozy café atmosphere adds so much warmth to the story, while the murder investigation provides just enough suspense to keep things moving. I especially enjoyed the seasonal pumpkin spice touches—they make this a perfect choice for anyone who loves autumn-themed cozy mysteries.

The characters are engaging, the setting feels inviting, and the story strikes a great balance between mystery, charm, and humor. It has that comforting quality that makes cozy mysteries so easy to get lost in.

Overall, Death by Pumpkin Spice is a fun, flavorful, and satisfying mystery. Perfect for readers who enjoy café settings, amateur sleuths, seasonal themes, and clever whodunits.

A deliciously cozy five-star read!
