Good intro to the study of homicide and such - the stats are just very old (2008 or before)

I read this book as it was one of my textbooks for my homicide class, and I absolutely loved it! It is very easy to get deeply absorbed in and I've never gotten into a textbook as much as I did this one. It led me to hours and hours of outside reading to supplement it. Not because the book was lacking, but because I was so interested I needed to read more. It would be great if a newer edition came out that has more up to date statistics.

I wrote this so it is very cheesy of me to put it on this. What I think is that is becoming dated as it is a textbook. But easy to read and understand
