What a great adventure.
Very immersive & the world building is superb.
The writing is similar to The Raven Scholar.
Has really good banter & funny moments...
Has good fight scenes
This book is like one step closer to becoming a LitRPG.
it has a cliffhanger ending so watch out for that.- i do think it's ending is okay but yeah, they still need to resolve a lot of stuff

Oh yeah i said it's similar to the raven scholar but this book has more.. characters/ lore/ magic/ world building & at times can be graphic. - i love how mature this is but yeah watch out for that

the reason i cant give it a 5 star is the characters.

There's too many & there's no glossary or index.. it's kinda overwhelming at the start & easy to get lost in them.

Also this has people from different races, different faith, different values so it's fun to see their axiologies /philosophies/beliefs clash.

I really dont wanna spoil much since i read this as an eARC but.. the climax of each important protagonists are unexpected but kinda satisfying. I cant wait for them to cross paths in the next book !!!

■ Isrelda - really smart & low key powerful.. but still kind
■ Maegellius - oh the man that you are. We need to see more of his skills & abilities!!!
■ Rammu'garrott - ehehehe XD

I do like Allistair & Chugg but they still need some character development.

Welp some of the characters here fits that.

Roguerun is a fantastic, action-packed fantasy novel that gives off a lot of LOTR meets D&D vibes! Switching between different POVs lets you see every side of the story, and you get super attached to the characters as their secrets and backstories are slowly revealed.

I loved every minute of this book and honestly can't wait for the next one to drop. Highly recommend!

I really didn't know what to expect with this novel since I don't really be reading fantasy novels like that but ROGUERUN really surprised me. The main characters aren't perfect but they grow on you and that actually made me like them more. There were definitely a few moments where I was like, alright, where the heck is this going? lol, but it kept me interested. I liked that the fantasy stuff wasn't hard to follow because that's what usually loses me with this genre. By the time I got toward the end, I was way more invested than I thought I was gonna be. Definitely enjoyed this one. Can't wait for the sequel!.

I really enjoyed this novel. The adventure was engaging and the writing was great! I loved the distinct character voices and the gradual coming together of all the small parts into one big adventure. Very engaging read! Highly recommend it to anyone who loves fantasy!

I must have read this book over 20 times...because I wrote it!

Ideal for those who love a propulsive adventure into an uncharted world, a supporting cast of compelling misfits, epic quests, heavy-metal monsters, and a dark and gritty fantasy world with plenty of humour to keep things breezy.

Come for the loveable rogue and his illegal antics, stay for the larger story I'm telling across 4 already-completed novels in the GOLD, GODS, & GOBLINS saga.

I just finished reading Roguerun. It's great! I would never have picked a book from this genre normally but I'm glad I read this one and I look forward to book two (and 3 and 4). The writing is smooth, descriptions that put you right in the scene, I couldn't put it down until far later than I should be reading on a work night🥱. I can’t wait to see how it all ties together.
