For as long as anyone can remember, Florence (Rory) Kensington and Flynn Parks have contentiously coexisted in their respective roles. Rory, as the responsible, poised heiress determined to make a difference. Flynn, as the carefree life of the party who considers having fun a full-time profession. Years of close proximity and overlapping social circles have only strengthened their mutual antipathy, which now seems ironclad.
Until Rory finds herself without a fiancé and Flynn finds himself in need of one. She’s sick of being seen as a boring workaholic. He needs a bride his finicky father will approve of. For the first time, they agree on something—a mock engagement will benefit them both. After all, who better to stick to the terms of an agreement than two lawyers?
Except … pretending to be a couple is unexpectedly easy, and the longer they pretend, the harder it is to distinguish reality from fiction. Suddenly, their straightforward deal seems anything but …
Was it all lies? Or has a love story been buried beneath the animosity all along?

This book was a long time coming and I absolutely devoured it. It had such a warm, romantic charm to it, and I found myself completely falling for Rory and Flynn. I loved the banter, the chemistry, the little moments of tenderness, and especially the way pretending slowly became less and less pretend. There was something so lovely about watching them realise that the person they thought they understood was actually someone they had never really taken the time to know. Their feelings felt warm and genuine, and I adored the emotional intimacy that developed between them. The writing was easy to sink into, and I loved how much heart the story had beneath all the fun. The ending especially left me with such a happy, satisfied feeling.
So excited for RoryFlynn and I hope you all are too! Gold Rush will be out in paperback, eBook, and audiobook on September 29th!
Continue reading for a sneak peek of one of my favorite scenes...
“What are you doing here?” I repeat as I approach the fireplace. It’s easier to talk to Flynn when I’m not looking at him.
He answers this time. “Needed a place to crash tonight.”
When I turn around, Flynn has followed me into the living room. He runs a hand through his hair, mussing short strands as he glances around. His eyes linger on the open book and half-empty glass I abandoned.
“Your parents have a house here,” I state.
“So do yours.”
I stiffen. “They weren’t expecting me until tomorrow.”
Flynn’s expression calls my flimsy excuse out for what it is, but he’s uncharacteristically considerate enough not to say so aloud. He nods.
I don’t like him being nice to me.
“My aunt and uncle said I was welcome to stay here anytime,” I add passive-aggressively.
“I figured,” Flynn drawls. “Since you don’t do anything without permission.”
My eyes narrow. He makes it so easy to dislike him.
“Kit said it was cool if I stayed here tonight,” he continues, taking a seat at one end of the couch. Knees spread, hands tucked behind his head. “And he didn’t mention anything about you being here.”
There’s a teasing note of chastisement in his tone, and I understand the implication perfectly. I might have an open invitation; he called dibs tonight.
“I’m not leaving,” I state, battling the urge to cross my arms in defiance. “I’ve been drinking.”
5⭐️ Absolutely LOVED Rory and Flynn. The books in this series have quickly become some of my favourite reads and Gold Rush is also being added to that list!
Rory and Flynn have been hinted at since book two, as Flynn is a childhood best friend of Kit Kensington. The two obviously move in the same social circles and have an antagonistic, slightly competitive relationship that's covering up for all the sexual tension they both refuse to acknowledge. Even though they've known each other for years and secretly know a lot about the other, it isn't until they come up with a 'fake-dating' scheme and move in together that they start to know each other on a deeper level.
I love them your honour. Flynn might put on a party-boy persona but he's secretly a hard-working golden retriever. He's such a good guy and is fiercely loyal to the Kensington's, especially Rory. I loved their scenes just eating dinner and getting to know each other, hanging out with Finch and bantering all over NYC.
I think they are just so good for each other. Flynn has always tried to keep up with his father's expectations, only to constantly feel like a failure. Rory becomes his biggest supporter. She knows exactly who he is deep down and won't let anyone think of him as less. Flynn for his part makes Rory feel more confident and has always treated her as more than just a family name. They uplift each other and have each others backs and I loved every moment of it
Thank you to CW Farnsworth for an early copy! I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
Flynn and Rory sitting in a tree, f-a-k-e d-a-t-i-n-g
Flynn needs his trust fund and Rory needs to show to the world that she is over her cheating ex.
My fav scene is Flynn not being sure if he should be in the fam wedding picture. How did I fall in love with the laid back bestfriend but inside has insecurities just like Rory of being enough? I love Flynn!
I could not put this down! Devoured in one day. Flynn & Rory took me by surprise I love them both as characters and together.
I loved watching the emotional intimacy that developed between them and the pacing was perfect. Their dynamic was so beautiful to me I love how Flynn made Rory feel confident and wasn’t intimidated by her wealth. The fact Rory felt self conscious because of her ex but Flynn reminded her that she is exceptional “There’s nothing you could say that I would find boring.”
He was attentive to her in the bedroom & direct. The non chalant of THIS MANS MOUTH had me SHOOK the things he was doing and saying in the bedroom I’m feral I was not expecting it
I just wish that they didn’t fake date for so long, I wanted to see them as an actual couple for longer but that didn’t take away from the story to me. I loved the overall plot & seeing the other Kensingtons in this story.
This is a lightheaded romance, easy to read romance! The audiobook was so good
Gold Rush was one of my anticipated reads and I LOVED IT!! The chokehold this series has on me is unreal. These characters and Charlotte’s writing have an inexplicable hold on me. I don’t know how she manages to nail it every single time, but I am a woman OBSESSED 😩😭
From her sport romances to her standalones, but her billionaire romances are a special favourite of mine. The Kensingtons are my royal family!!
I have been so excited for Rory’s book, ever since learning that Oliver was a girl dad of two (I’m a little biased, too, as they’re also my favourites, but I also seriously love everyone, parents and children, even Ben and Jerry!) and Rory and Flynn’s animosity has been teased since the beginning, and I have loved seeing their appearances in the previous books.
My first cousin’s best friend’s romance was EVERYTHING. Rory and Flynn’s banter was top tier, and the chemistry between them was off the charts. They challenged each other, pushed each other, and really brought out the best in one another. I especially loved seeing Flynn bring out a softer, calmer, more relaxed side of Rory. Underneath her ambition and determination, there was a vulnerability that only Flynn seemed able to reach.
And speaking of Flynn, that man was DOWN BAD. He absolutely fell first and harder, and I ate up every second of it. He was the ultimate golden retriever, and I adore him so much. The way he looked after Rory without ever dimming her strength. He cooked for her, made sure she actually ate because the girl had no idea how to cook for herself, asides from lumpy oatmeal; defended her at any given moment, worshipped the ground she walked on, and somehow remained completely adorable while doing it. Not to mention he was the absolute best cat dad to Finch.
It's an incredibly niche, and newfound favourite microtrope of mine, but I've only ever read it once before, when the fmc has an allergy and the mmc goes out of his way to make sure she never comes into contact with it.
I’m so excited for Bash’s book but also can’t believe that we’re almost at the end. I honestly don’t know what I’m going to do after this series ends, but I have loved every moment that I’ve spent with the Kensingtons.
I can’t thank Charlotte and her team enough for the e-arc, it’s always such a pleasure!
tropes
⚖️ they’re both lawyers 💍 fake relationship 🛋️ roommates 🐈 cat parents 💵 she’s a billionaire 🍻 he’s her cousin’s best friend 🗽 nyc setting
Pre-read March 2026: so, i’m thinking, black cat, rule follower fmc, and unserious golden retriever mmc? They’re both lawyers, Rory can’t stand Flynn, and he loves to rile her up. Cousin’s best friend, ugh, why is September so far away 💔 I’m just giddy at the thought of seeing Oliver being a girl dad again, that man lives RENT FREE in my head 😩
I loved this book and this whole series. I can’t recommend each one of these stories enough. Gold rush is perfect and I just loved getting to know Rory and Flynn more. If you love fake dating + billionaire romance, think Gossip Girl vibes, you’ll want this one on your list. New York City setting, two characters fresh out of law school, and plenty of drama.
Flynn had no chance, he was smitten from the first moment they agreed to fake date. He didn’t know it yet or maybe he did— but I just love reading about Rory and Flynn and how they fell in love.
Ahhhh I loved this. Both the FMC & MMC were super likable. Flynn was so sarcastic & funny… just how I like em 👏🏼 Rory was an independent, hardworking, strong headed female… also just how I like em 👏🏼
I’ll eat up a lil fake dating book any day especially if the man falls first and harder 🙈
The writing is good & super easy to consume! First book by her but not the last… I want to read the rest in the series now!! 💖
“There’s nothing you could say that I would find boring.”
Okay, so here’s the deal: I think C.W. Farnsworth and I have the same brain.
I have read quite possibly every single book in her backlog and devoured each of them in one sitting. I find nothing wrong with a single book she writes. It’s like each one could be plucked directly from my own brain and handed back to me in book form. The characters never annoy me, every scenario sucks me in, and somehow I always forget that the life I’m reading about is not, in fact, my own.
I am the biggest Caleb Winters fan on the planet (go baseball), attended Lancaster University but cheered for Holt Hockey, have a subscription to Haute, and am about to start my first day at Kensington Consolidated. Consider me sold on the C.W. front.
Which brings me to the Kensingtons: The Next Generation series.
I loved the original series about their parents, but I have to say -- the kids take the cake. They are exactly what you want out of a group of fictional billionaires (something I never thought I would say). They give you a first-class seat to a life you will absolutely never live and somehow make you enjoy every second of it, including all the drama that comes with having more money than God.
And when I started this series, the book I was most excited for was Gold Rush.
Rory and Flynn had a dynamic I was immediately invested in, and after watching it get hinted at for three books straight, I was READY. So when Gold Rush was finally announced, I was excited. When I got an ARC? Absolutely thrilled.
Rory Kensington and Flynn Parks are notoriously known for their contentious relationship. Flynn is Rory’s cousin’s best friend, her law school rival, and someone who has been in her orbit for basically her entire life. For better or for worse, these two know each other.
Rory is perfect in every way possible: brilliantly smart, absurdly determined, and, well, a billionaire heiress. All that glory aside, she does have a reputation for being a "boring workaholic" (which, rude).
Flynn, on the other hand, is the life of the party. Handsome, charming, a notorious ladies’ man -- and also whip-smart, with far more going on beneath the surface than Rory has ever given him credit for.
So naturally, when Rory needs to change the way people perceive her and Flynn needs a fiancée to unlock his inheritance, the obvious solution is fake dating.
And, perhaps more concerningly, they’re very good at it.
I loved this book. I loved Flynn. I loved Rory. But most importantly, I loved the way Flynn loved Rory.
There is something about a man who has spent years getting under a woman’s skin only to turn around and know her better than basically anyone else that works on me every single time. Their banter was exactly what I wanted from them, but I also loved watching all the assumptions they had made about each other start to fall away. Flynn especially had so much more going on beneath the persona Rory had assigned to him, and watching her slowly realize that was sooo satisfying.
Also, I simply think that if I were smart enough to be a lawyer and somehow found myself fake dating the handsomest one in all the lawyer lands, I would also never let him go. Rory and I are alike in that way.
This book was funny, romantic, ridiculously easy to devour, and somehow lived up to the expectations I’ve had for Rory and Flynn since I first read False God all those years ago. I also loved getting glimpses of the other couples in the series because apparently I am incapable of moving on from any of these people. Shoutout to Wren and Sawyer, the literal loves of my life.
Basically, C.W. Farnsworth has once again written a book specifically for me. Thank you for your service.
ARC Review. Thank you so much to CW Farnsworth and her team. This is an honest review
5 🌟 2 🌶️
WOWW!! I couldn’t put this book down!!! 💫 Enemies to lovers 💫 Opposites attract 💫 Fake dating 💫 Cousin’s best friend 💫 Lawyer x Lawyer 💫 She’s a billionaire
I have been waiting for this book since I read the first one in the series (Kensington Next Gen) and it did not disappoint 😍😍!!
Flynn (MMC) is laid-back, charming and seemingly irresponsible and reckless, but beneath all that he’s also a secret romantic who’s always ready to defend the FMC even when they’re convinced they can’t stand each other. Rory (FMC) is his complete opposite: she’s the perfect daughter, always responsible, disciplined and doing what’s expected of her.
Rory and Flynn are always bickering and at odds with each other, until he suggests they fake a relationship so he can access his trust fund. What starts as a way of getting what they both wanted turns into real feelings full of secret smiles and gentle touches. However, that wasn’t supposed to happen, that was only a means to an end. Do they risk admitting how they feel, knowing it could change everything, or do they keep the fragile balance they’ve built?
They were such a good couple!! I loved their constant tension and the way they were vulnerable only with each other, how they became each other’s safe space. Also, I really liked their relationship evolution, and their individual growth, specially his 🫠. Flynn just became everything Rory needed and was so mindful of her and such a good boyfriend 🥰🥰. And she was so supportive of him when his own family didn’t believe in him.
Oh and their banter was so good!!! They were so funny and witty.
Honorable mention to Kit, who despite being friends with Flynn for such a long time, he was ready to defend and protect his cousin 🫶🏻.
Overall this was such a sweet story with a little bit everything (laughter, funny moments with Finch the cat, sentimental at times and spicy as well!).
Rory Kensington and Flynn Parks have known each other for years. Both lawyers who came from money, they agreed to fake a relationship and engagement when Flynn needed to fulfill his Dad’s condition to get his inheritance, while Rory wanted to save herself from the embarrassment caused by her cheating ex.
I was swooning and rooting for these two characters for most of the book. Their chemistry was off the charts from the very beginning and I very much enjoyed their banters. The author’s writing style was also beautiful that I just can't stop. I also really loved the family values we get from the story, especially the reminder that healthy family relationships shouldn’t be measured by achievements or financial expectations. The emphasis on love, support, and genuine connection added such a heartfelt element to it.
However, the miscommunication near the end became a little too heavy for me. I’m not really a fan when both characters keep guessing each other’s feelings back and forth instead of simply talking things out. It really took away from the experience for me, especially around the 80% mark, when I felt like the story started to go downhill and Flynn wasn't really upfront with Rory about what he decided with his Dad and his inheritance money.
That said, I still enjoyed the book especially during the early part of their fake relationship. Lots of swoon moments! And there was HEA. ❤️ I just wish we got a stronger and more satisfying romantic development.
I've read this book as a standalone but it is a part of the Kensington: The Next Generation series. 😊
Thank you to the author for the opportunity to read this ARC in exchange for an honest review. All thoughts and opinions expressed are entirely my own.
Read this in one sitting while sleep-deprived, grinning ear to ear the entire time, highlighting lines every other page. Then wanted to do it all over again once I finished. That’s a high that happens almost never for me.
I really didn’t think any other couple would top Wren & Sawyer, but these two might’ve done just that. A part of me isn’t surprised, because C.W. Farnsworth just knows how to keep outshining herself with every release. So of course, Gold Rush would end up being 1000000/10.
Rory & Flynn, you will stay on my mind forever. I’m definitely biased and a little dramatic when it comes to this series, but I’m struggling to describe them as anything other than perfect. The banter, chemistry, tension, no third-act breakup. The loyalty and belief they had in each other. All 10/10. Pair that with fake dating, and it’s no wonder I was having the time of my life.
Again, maybe a little bias speaking, but there’s genuinely nothing I’d change about this book. I only wish it were 500 pages longer and that we maybe got more crumbs of them when they were younger and during college. But how they met was very on brand for them. And Flynn wishing on New Year’s fireworks for her I can’t 😭😭😭
Also loved how much we got to see of the sibling/cousin dynamics, especially Wren and Rory + HannahOliver as parents. There’s no better family in the world if you ask me. That being said, I felt like this book hit much harder having read the entire series. Still very enjoyable either way, but definitely worth getting the full experience!
Petition (or whatever these lawyers say) to see the RoryFlynn wedding in the next book, or even the aftermath of that epilogue 👀 PLEASE..
Wow. Like, I actually need to take a moment to express my gratitude towards C.W. Farnsworth for writing Flynn Parks. I'm gagged. Deceased. Spare me. I love this series, and I have read a lot of C.W.'s books, and I generally really enjoy them. The book before this one in this series is one of my favorite books so I have been patiently waiting for Rory's book and it did NOT disappoint! Rory and Flynn are both lawyers, and have (somewhat) grown up together. Flynn is Rory's cousin, Kit, best friend, so they have always been immersed. I am OBSESSED with the 'pining for years' 'academic rival' trope, it will alwayssss do me good. This book is fake marriage, second chance, technically, however the fake marriage part was lowkey subtle? And I highkey loved it? I knew what the plan was but I wasn't reminded of it every chapter which was nice. 🙂
I am going to say something very important, and I want you to pay attention. Flynn resembles Connor Cobalt. Yes, yes THE Connor Cobalt. This is a huge deal. Connor Cobalt, to me, is top 5 book boyfriend, which makes sense why I was feral over Flynn. Now, Rory could be compared to Rose, they are both super smart, know what they want, and have really hot men be obsessed with their brain before their body, but other than that the similarities end there. However that is not to say I didn't like Rory, I absolutely loved her. I just wanted to bring this up so you can understand their relationship dynamic more.
Let me start with Rory. She is a Kensington, aka a billionaire, and could have anything she wants in her life. However, she is steadfast in what she wants, and doing it her way to get it. She is very smart, very hardworking and determined, and graduates from Stanford Law to be a public defense attorney. At the beginning of the book, Rory has a boyfriend and they have been dating for 4 years *wow and no ring mind you*. Anyways, they break up and Flynn comes to the rescue hubba hubba. The entire book, Rory is somewhat insecure? But it's more in a omg poor girl just hookup with Parks and you'll feel better type of way. So really not that deep. Watching Rory start to open up to Flynn, and herself really, was soo cute. Like yesss my walls up queen you got this. I really did love Rory and all that she was, I think she is the perfect match for Flynn.
Flynn motherffiing Parks I'm obsessedddd. He's so hot. And he's preppy, which is not something I thought I would say saying a preppy boy is hot but here we are. Flynn is also a lawyer, graduated from Stanford, just like Rory, and is working at a firm. Flynn has this confidence and arrogance about him that is soooo attractive. It's not overbearing, it's not for show, he just knows what he wants and knows how to get it. 🙂↕️🙂↕️ The way he would talk to Rory and reassure her and build her up (IN A NON CRINGY WAY) like I will dream about him. I cannot emphasize enough how attractive his personality is, begging you to read this book so you can know first hand. Also he has a dirty mouth. 🙏
Will probably be back soon because Flynn and Rory are just wayyyy too good.
Review: 💫Gold Rush💫 Kensingtons: The Next Generation #4
By C.W. Farnsworth
💫 Fake Dating 💫 Enemies to Lovers 💫 Opposites attract
⭐ 5/5
Rory”No matter how many times I told myself I hoped you wouldn’t be somewhere… You were always the first person I looked for.” Flynn”You make it better. You always make it better.”
This love story has been a long time coming
I have been waiting for this story ever since I started the series. And with the animosity and yet undeniable connection between Rory and Flynn, it was bound to be an absolutely amazing one. Flynn is the easygoing and charming soon-to-be-lawyer that is unwilling to commit to something as binding as a relationship. Growing up under a dad that only wants his success and to always be better, he simply wants to have fun and enjoy his lids: and, above all, he wants to bicker with his best friend’s cousin. Rory is (seemingly) the opposite of everything Flynn portrays: she is collected, structured and has it all planned out. But after a betrayal by the one constant she tried holding on to, she is done being perceived as the predictable, stable one. No, she wants to prove there is more to her than this. The story of these two has been teased beforehand. Growing up in the same social circles and always being in each other's orbit, they know more about the other than they want to admit to themselves. But friends? Not these two, especially not with the way they think they couldn’t be more different and the only common thing they share is their job. This, however, simply makes their arrangement all the easier: a mock-engagement that’ll benefit both of them and won’t make anything complicated or messy… Or so they think. I can’t even begin to explain just how much I love this book and these characters. From the very first chapter I knew I was not gonna be able to put this down (which also might have had to do with the immediate mentions of characters like Wren and Sawyer: I missed these two a lot!). The chemistry between Rory and Flynn has always been there, but having the spotlight on them made it much more obvious. The teasing, the bickering, the flirting that neither really wanted to see and admit to? Absolutely amazing. It was everything I expected it to be and more. Flynn might be one of my favorite MMC. I loved seeing how he has always cared about Rory and how he was on her side even when you wouldn’t have immediately assumed so. He is so lovable and a secret romantic, which led to some heartwarming and adorable moments. Where Flynn is outgoing and charming, Rory wants nothing more than less spotlight on her and her name. She is ambitious and determined, having worked hard to be where she is now, but underneath it all, she just wants someone to want her. To be cared for. Which is exactly what Flynn offers her right away. The silent understanding between them made me adore them and their building relationship so much. This story made me all the more excited for the next book, but I also don’t want to say goodbye to this series. The characters, families and stories have certainly grown on me and I can’t wait to see what will happen next!
I absolutely knew this would be my favorite book in the series, although of course, I don’t know what awaits me with Bash’s story yet.
I instantly liked Flynn and from the previous books, I already knew that he liked Rory somewhat. The teasing, the discussions, the constant back-and-forth between them… I love it. Flynn especially liked that Rory showed this “meaner” side of herself around him instead of always being proper and poised like she is with everyone else. From the very beginning, there was so much tension between them, and you’re just waiting for it to finally snap.
Flynn is the typical funny party boy who seems like he’s just there to have a good time. But there is so much more to him. He is considerate, understanding, completely down bad for Rory and he genuinely wants to make the people he loves happy. He also wants to prove that he’s hardworking and smart and not just the shallow party boy everyone assumes him to be.
Rory sees herself as boring and stuck-up, but with Flynn, she can really be herself. We get to see her funny, teasing and bickering side, and I absolutely loved that. She is also his biggest supporter and wants to show everyone that there is so much more to Flynn than what they see on the surface.
They truly bring out the best in each other and can completely be themselves when they’re together.
The banter was fantastic and I always love seeing the support and love from friends and family in these books. It was especially fun seeing that the people around Rory and Flynn could see their love and chemistry before they even fully realized it themselves.
A great, funny, romantic love story. Exactly the kind of romance I love
Fake dating, forced proximity, roommates, opposites who constantly bicker, and adopting a cat together? Yes please 🙋🏼♀️🙋🏼♀️
Rory Kensington and Flynn Parks have known each other for years, but they’ve always been more oil and vinegar than anything else. When a mutually beneficial fake engagement has them living together, they’re forced to spend a lot more time around each other and start to realise there may be more chemistry between them than either of them expected (and woah baby, is there chemistry).
I really enjoyed their dynamic and watching their relationship develop throughout the book. The banter, forced proximity, and gradual shift from bickering to something more made for a really fun romance, and I loved seeing them get to know each other in a different way.
There’s also Finch, the cat who is objectively kind of terrible, but absolutely adores Flynn, which made for some entertaining moments.
I truly just live and breathe for the characters Farnsworth has created, and I get so giddy every time a new book comes out. The Kensingtons genuinely feel like real people in my world at this point, and getting another story in this universe is always such a treat.
Overall, Gold Rush was another excellent addition to the series. I loved the chemistry, the familiar characters, and getting another romance in this world that I’ve become so invested in.
“Money does buy happiness for some people, but Rory is priceless.”

I FINALLY GOT MY FLYNNRORY AND THEY WERE EVERYTHING AND MORE!!!!
If you've closely followed the Kensington's, then you saw the sparks better them for a while and screamed from the rooftops when they were confirmed.
While they might seem opposite, you'll discover they are two sides of a same coin and that's not only because they're both lawyers, it's because of their heart and what they chose to show to others outside their close circle.
Flynn is a sweetheart with such a big heart and hopelessly in love with Rory, his Florence.
And Rory is brilliant and fantastic with the most precious heart, who sees Flynn for all he is.
I can't wait to get more glimpses of them in Bash's book (and I also can't believe it's the last one because I'll miss them so much my beloved Kensington family)
I think I got the hints about End Game (Bash's book) but I'm actually super excited to know for real.
I loved to see all my favorite people together again (aka my family the Kensington's)
flynnroryfinch you have my heart!!
“And you are the only person I would have agreed to fake date because I’ve wondered since high school what it would be like to be a girl you cared about impressing.” “Florence Kensington, you’re the only girl I’ve ever cared about impressing.””
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
I love all of her stories and Rory and Flynn’s were no different.
There's just a unique crispness to the banter that only CW. Farnsworth has been able to achieve. Just the right amount of chemistry while also building the tension.
I love an outgoing MMC and Flynn was marvelous, he has so much more to him then meets the eye but as a person who doesn’t want to people, I loved watching Flynn do the peopling and Rory could just relax
#GOALS
I love the almost subtle way that Flynn takes care of Rory and the way it takes so much off the shoulders of a perfectionist (so many beautiful words of wisdom were dropped)
And the way that Rory believed in Flynn even when others dismissed him.
I love the perfect mix of found family and family family.
Also love declarations written by C.W. Farnsworth >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
THEY LOVE EACH OTHER SO MUCH, THEYRE DIFFERENT AND YET THE BEST VERSIONS OF THEMSELVES TOGETHER AHHHHH I LOVE FLYNN AND RORY
Rory & Flynn are phenomenal. The push and pull between them was magnetic and electrically charged.
I was eager for their story since finishing Cruel Summer. One of my all time favorites & I formed a soft spot for Flynn in the moments he shared with Rory
Rory is my girl. I love her tenacity, a little spitfire around Flynn but a people pleaser to everyone else. She really reminded me of myself in some ways because she is so kicka**. I loved her determination, her drive, and most of all the way she was with Flynn. How she slowly fell and fell hard
I was literally kicking my feet, smiling too hard with their banter.
Flynn is hands down perfect for Rory. He knows how to take care of her, challenge and tease her, and knows how to love her the way she deserves.
All the stars! I already ordered my paperback copy and I will be checking my mailbox daily for this to come in
Love is a tiptoed dance. They’ve known each other since childhood, and there always exists an awareness that neither pull them closer or push them further.
Love is an unconscious impulse. Flynn neglected the true reason to attain his trust fund because he wants Rory to choose him for the sole reason. Rory strikes first with the engagement announcement because deep down she needs a guarantee for their closeness.
I don’t usually like messy relationships. But Farnsworth never writes love with either person pouring their hearts out. We as reader know what these people are showing on the surface and what is being withhold and hidden. Her characters mostly kept poise through the story. And we wait impatiently until finally they fall out of balance to confess their love.
Best out of the four Kensingtons next generation books.
Charlotte writes books that feel so familiar and comforting. I’ve reread many of her books multiple times over because I want to revisit the characters like old friends.
Like her other books, the main characters have such great chemistry and that slow burns is soooo good. Flynn is charismatic and lovable. His one liners and wit gave him so much added charm. Rory is your strait-laced and highly intelligent FMC. She’s felt relatable. Both had such great character development by the end of their story.
The supporting characters were easily likable, or not depending on the purpose. Every extra character mentioned felt necessary and helped to story move along.
I love that the book took place in New York. It gave exactly the kind of setting needed for all the events that took place and the fast paced world these characters were living in.
The song was already a given 💛 Throughout the years I got into reading, there a few authors i turn to and be sure that i will have a great time no matter what. And @authorcwfarnsworth is one of these authors I was ecstatic to read Flynn and Rory’s story since they first started bickering( more like flirting cause that’s their love language) with one another, and boy they did not disappoint. The way they both let loose around each other and they can be themselves was so endearing, and together with their Finch scenes, can definitely melt even the coldest of hearts. This series just keeps getting better and better, because what do you mean you give me a tiny tiny tiny little twaser and i am already foaming at the mouth. Be ready to pick this book up if you want a good written, cozy, and romantic book.

I find both of them interesting which helped when reading a dual POVs. Although even with the angst was laid out across the chapters i felt like it didnt execute well enough and theres no payoff for it. I wish we could see a scene when rory gets to spill all her guts to flynn. Wish theyre meaner to each other more too cus that was sexy. They’re by far the most interesting pair in the series. Writings didnt change much but so much better /bearable and i think thats probably thanks to the characters, it felt more believable and raw which i had fun devouring the book.
Fav quote
“I could have created this foundation when I was single. The plan and the purpose and the paperwork—I had all that in place. But, like every other aspect of my life, you enhanced it. Each draft of this speech you read, each building you toured to find the right office space, each time I felt overwhelmed by the process … you made it all better. You make me better.”
“Tonight might have happened without you,” Flynn continues.
“But the cake wouldn’t get served on time, and this speech would have sucked, and I wouldn’t get to stand up here and say that this foundation is my second-greatest accomplishment. Because the first will always be convincing you to spend your life with me. I love you.”

5 ⭐️ 2 🌶️ 3.5 🤍 and she does it again 🤌🏽 absolutely no part of me wanted that book to end.
It’s abundantly clear that I love three things in this life - the fake dating trope - CW’s writing - orgasms
and this book had it all, including an “it was always you” moment, and a “you’re taking me so well”
Flynn Parks you loveable, playful, obsessed MMC. Miss Rabbit has fainted.
These are the books for the Millennials who have outgrown college romance, but still remember the first time they fell for Chuck Bass on their screens, and love a romance read they can kick their feet over.
“It’s so pretty here.” “Mmhmm.” But when I glance over at Flynn, he’s not looking at the water. He’s staring at me.
Oh my gosh I am just blown away at how amazing this second gen series is! Rory and Flynn have been fighting and bantering the whole series and their story did not disappoint. I absolutely love the way @cw develops her characters and gives them depth. I loved seeing the softer side of Flynn, his passion for his future non profit and the way he takes care of those he loves. It was fun watching Rory let her hair down and embrace herself outside of her family name. This story had everything you’d want in a forced proximity fake dating romance: witty banter, an “oops” moment with a towel, slow burn and incredible tension. Just incredible! If you haven’t discovered C.W. And her work, you are missing out! I absolutely devoured this story and cannot wait for Bash’s book! 💛💛💛💛
