Even love can undo a breaker of men.

When a rogue wolf is dropped to the tiles of Saren Lash’s hall, the alpha Enforcer has no idea how quickly the shifter he intends to break and remould will turn the tables. Can the unyielding Enforcer resist the increasing press of the defiant rogue’s fire and beauty, or will he wind up remaking himself as he attempts to subdue the wild runner?

Nor has no intention of becoming a toy for Tek’s pack, no matter how glacial the Enforcer Lash may be. He’s always lived his life his own way and refuses to change that now. Can he withstand the Enforcer’s impact on his mind during the remaking process? And if he finds himself growing fond of the Enforcer, can he be sure the idea is actually his own?

A sensuous and heavily erotic, m/m paranormal romance.

I received a copy of this book from the author via IndiGo Marketing & Design in exchange for an honest review

Nor is a wolf who is running from something. He ends up in a place he shouldn't be and gets captured. Lash was an enforcer who was required to punish. It appeared that most of his punishments handed out were sexual in nature. This is where my non/dub con tag comes from. Although Nor ends up finding Lash attractive and wants more from him, the initial intent was not for consentual pleasure. Lash was going to take what he wanted regardless of Nor's desires. Eventually, Lash comes to terms with the fact that he is finding Nor attractive and wants more from him. There does appear to be a HFN with the hope of an HEA, but it ended without any glimpse into whether or not things will work out. I can hope they do.

I really did not love this. I think overall, for me, this was more of a 2.5 star book. The book seemed choppy throughout and there were so many details that left me overwhelmed, yet feeling like I was missing something because there was just so much. I still don't quite understand the world or what Nor was initially running from.

I was given this book to read in exchange for a fair and honest review.

This story was confusing. I felt like I was dropped into the middle of a series, and trying to play catch up. We are introduced to the MC, a shifter, as he running across a territory as the author explains the world we find him in. There are shifters, mages, half breeds of several types, and humans. I never quite figure it out. The MC is captured and brought to an Enforcer, the second MC. To control the shifters they use sex to break the non compilers. Of course feelings develop which throws off the power struggle and protagonists enter to try and influence. And then it ends. To say I was lost through most of this story is correct. It felt like I was set into the middle of a series, trying to figure out who, what, why and where

This is a story you need to pay close attention to. For a novella it has a lot going on. Magic, m/m loving, shifters, and at times the language used gives it an historical feel.

There's a lot of sexy time, something I love, but the scenes didn't have much of a heat factor for me. I would have preferred fewer, more fleshed out scenes.

I'm not sure if it's a language thing, but the use of the word 'loosed/loosing' tended to throw me out of the story.

There are plenty of pen names in this world that make me roll my eyes. Whatever. Have fun, live and let live, etc.

But Pop Cherry? That's gross on so many levels, and I have zero faith in an author who chooses to go with such a disgusting, sexist concept as their nom de plume. So, bitchy I may be, I'm never touching any book written by someone who calls themselves Pop Cherry. Just yuck.
