Now they must fight to protect the women they love while also battling the new and existing demons that torture their souls, from death, corruption, destruction and war. These men are strong, honorable and will do everything they can to overcome the past that continues to haunt them.

For the first time, all four Men Of Honor books are together in one specially wrapped bundle, with exclusive bonus material of the prologue and chapter one to An Act Of Redemption—the first book in the spin off series, Acts of Honor, which is due out summer 2015.
Fighting Temptation~ Jaxson and Julia’s story.
Sweet Temptation~ Sawyer and Grace’s story.
Resisting Temptation~ Cade and Faith’s story.
The Final Temptation~ Cooper and Kayla’s novella.
An Act of Redemption, prologue and chapter one~ Logan and Anna’s story, book one in the Acts Of Honor series.
K.C. Lynn is a small town girl living in Western Canada. She grew up in a family of four children—two sisters and a brother. Her mother was the lady who baked homemade goods for everyone on the street and her father was a respected man who worked in the RCMP. He’s since retired and now works for the criminal justice system. This being one of the things that inspires K.C. to write romantic suspense about the trials and triumphs of our heroes.
K.C. married her high school sweetheart and they started a big family of their own—two adorable girls and a set of handsome twin boys. They still reside in the same small town but K.C.’s heart has always longed for the south, where everyone says ‘y’all’ and eats biscuits and gravy for breakfast.
It was her love for romance books that gave K.C. the courage to sit down and write her own novel. It was then a beautiful world opened up and she found what she was meant to do…write.
When K.C.’s not spending time with her beautiful family she can be found in her writing cave, living in the fabulous minds of her characters and their stories.
You can’t beat a good book binge and the Men Of Honor series is serious binge material. If you like your men brooding, possessive and overbearing and who love fiercely and fight hard, then this boxset brings you four of them in the shape of three former SEAL’s and the town Sheriff.
#1 Fighting Temptation ~ 3 stars
By no means a difficult read, Fighting Temptation was a bit of a clichéd best-friends-to lovers, but Jaxson and Julia’s chemistry was explosive in every sense of the word, there’s no scrimping on the hot-stuff and there’s some suspense and drama thrown in. I didn’t love it, they at times just acted that bit too childish, but I liked it enough to keep on with the series as it firmly lays the foundations.
#2 Sweet Temptation ~ 3.5 stars (should have been at least a 4)
I’ll get my rant on this one out of the way first: K.C. Lynn made a doozy of a mistake with this story at 20%, inserting something that served zero purpose and went against character portrayal which 1) pissed me off, 2) turned Sawyer into a total wanker, and 3) showed Grace as weak. I however, am a bigger picture type of gal and remove that from the equation and Sweet Temptation was an enjoyable read with much more of an emotional pull than #1 and Sawyer and Grace were actually wonderful together bringing a journey that bounced between sweet, funny, sexy and heartfelt. That poor decision by the author though sadly took the shine off a couple who deserved better.
#3 Resisting Temptation ~ 4.5 stars
I was expecting some feeling to come with Cade and Faith’s story but reaching for the tissues at the prologue was a bit of a surprise. Resisting Temptation was hands down my favourite of the four—Cade and Faith have something truly special—and with perfectly inserted flashbacks showing us just what they experienced together, my heart broke a little bit for them but was put back together as they reconnected.
#3.5 The Final Temptation ~ 4 stars
And we finish on the happy forever after for the couple who have been the absolute glue of the series, Cooper and Kayla. Short, steamy and oh so satisfying The Final Temptation was the icing on the Men of Honor cake and leads us nicely into the first in K.C. Lynn’s Acts of Honor series, An Act of Redemption.
Final thoughts: I think the fact I’ve read this entire series in the space of three days speaks for itself and with each book surpassing its predecessor, along with characters who, despite being flawed, won me over, K.C Lynn has herself a new reader. If you’re looking for an easy-read hot and sexy series which does pull on the old heartstrings at times, then you could do worse than acquainting yourselves with the men, and ladies, of honor.
“He was the first man I ever loved and he will be my last.”
Doing this a bit different as I read all 3 books at once, so I’m reviewing the Series as a whole! For those in the dark, the Men of Honor Set includes:
Fighting Temptation~ Jaxson and Julia’s story. Sweet Temptation~ Sawyer and Grace’s story. Resisting Temptation~ Cade and Faith’s story. The Final Temptation~ Cooper and Kayla’s novella
Three separate and distinct stories all set in a small town as 3 smoking hot NAVY SEALS, fresh out of the fire and a life-changing mission return back to “more.” This series has it all with second chance love, danger, unbridled passion, and alpha men doing that whole “protect you with my life” thing!
As a whole I completely enjoyed this series. It was my first time reading K.C. Lynn and I really liked her style. Her heat and delivery of emotion was done so well. Jaxson and Cade were my definite favorites as they both had past connections to their love interests but terrible demons to exorcise before grasping onto the love being offered.
Rating - 4.5* - Jaxson and Julia were a true friends to lovers from the age of 14 but war literally tore them apart. There was no other man for Julia and once Jaxson realized what was always his, it was sweet dominations.
Rating - 3* - Sawyer and Grace were a bit of a breather. It was literally bad boy Casanova meets good girl from nothing. Their sto4ry is literally “sweet” from start to finish. Grace has a horrific past and protecting her life is the only thing Sawyer has planned other than living in her bed! This was the “ok” part of the set as I didn’t get the connection and honestly couldn’t really find Grace to fit with Sawyer!
Rating - 5* - Saving the best for last, Cade and Faith, aka Red…this story is fabulous. Tortured, broken, horrifically scarred and still beautiful. They met in a war torn country and suffered the utmost injuries at the hands of pure evil. Cade may have saved her life, but he stopped living his. No matter what life threw at Faith she stood strong. Cade was her first real everything and she would not let him ever walk away again!

I've read each of these individually & they are amazing! I love each of the couples' stories, but the overall universe created in this series is simply spectacular. These books are re-reads for me, and KC Lynn is an auto-pre-order author for me. Getting to read Jaxon & Julia, Sawyer & Grace, Cade & Faith, and Cooper & Kayla all at once is an awesome experience! The overall story flows so well from one book to the next. I loved it! : )

Oh man this box set is beyond amazing!! I absolutely loved every single character. The writing style is amazing. This author had the ability to completely suck me in and made me not want to put the book down until I got to the very last page of the last book. If I had to pick a favorite it would be Sawyer and Grace, I think. But in all honesty they are all great, great books. This is the first I have read from this author but she is now on my author stalker list. I'm not going to lie, as soon as I finished the first book I kept telling myself "ok just a couple more pages then I'm going to put it down" and I ended up not putting it down until I finished the whole set. I can't wait to read more from this author!! This series deserves more than 5++ AMAZEBALLS stars!!!
OMG I don't know where these books have been all my life. Ok wait I do know they've been sitting on my TBR forever and like a dumbass I let them sit there unread. What in the fack was I thinking. Well clearly I wasn't facking thinking or else I would have read these sooner much much sooner.
Ermagahhhdddd I'm obsessed I'm in love I'm infatuated I'm giddy over the moon
This series is fanfackingtastic !!! Alpha's oh my alphas dayum I mean take your pick. They were all yummy delicious bookgasmic inducing Alpha hotness !!! Possessive, protective, blunt, sex on a stick take your pick cause there are four of them and every single one of them had my body heating up.
There's angst, there's OMG moments and there are moments that will make you SWOOON !!!!!!!!!
I devoured and I mean DEVOURED this series in less then 48 hours. I couldn't put them down and with each book I fell deeper and deeper in LOVE !!!!!!!!!!!!
If these are not on your TBR rectify that shit IMMEDIATELY !!!!!!!!!
Out of this series my favourite story hands down is book three, Cade and Faith. Reading the first two gave me the back story to the horrendous circumstances of Cade's and Faiths initial beginning. But then you get to see when they unexpectedly meet up again, it was never going to be easy, they both had huge emotional issues more so with Cade which was understandable, but your heart did go out to Faith and her never ending love for Cade. The book took a different turn but it was a wonderful added extra with Christopher and Ruthie, my heart went out to them both and I won't lie I did she'd a tear or two. The book was very sentimental but not sickly, god is mentioned but it's not preachy just lovely mix of Heart, passion and love. Glad I went back to reading it otherwise I would have missed out the best book in the series.
Fighting Temptation 4.3 stars This is the second time reading this and I enjoyed it more than I did the first time. This is the perfect book showcasing a jealous and possessive man that isn't too over the top and only acts this way because the woman he loves his life. Strong characters, strong secondary characters, a sad backstory of what unites all the characters, and perfect love with a happily ever after. I hope Cooper and Kayla get a story even though Cooper isn't one of the Seals.
Sweet Temptation 4.4 stars I am glad that I didn't pay any attention to the reviews for this book because I would have missed out on a really good story with great characters. Maybe, I am old school but it wasn't like Sawyer and Grace had labels and this happened while they were a couple. If that was the case then hell I have been a cheater too for doing almost the exact same thing and considering I have been cheated on I am pretty sensitive to this. To each their own I guess. I am not saying that it was kind of disappointing, as it was, but the guy more than redeemed himself. He was sweet and gave his all to make sure that his cupcake knew that she had someone on her side.
Loved her resilience and ability to see the best in everything. Loved her devotion to Mac and Chuckie. I really was intrigued by Jace from Sawyer's hometown. I think there is more than meets the eye with this guy and would love it if the author gave him a story.
Resisting Temptation 4.6 stars The best out of this series. I was drawn to Cade from the first book. There was just something about him. I wanted to know what haunted him.I knew from the previous books what had happened but to get his perspective in this one. Yeah, it was rough. Even getting Faith and her perspective on it was rough. Unlike the other reviews that bashed this for having God or not believing in it, depending on if it was Faith or Cade that was talking here, I never was put off by it as they seemed to be. As someone who is very agnostic in their beliefs and just hearing the word God often makes me roll my eyes and instantly tune out and yet, I never felt inclined to do that here. It wasn't preachy, it wasn't overzealous. I appreciated how it was approached. It wasn't the focus of the story, it was what Faith focused on during an awful time (which was talked about but wasn't graphic) and it made me sympathize with her and be empathetic. She didn't shove it down Cade's throat. In fact, how she and her family were, made me think they have the right idea what it means to be Christian because they put Christ back in it. I loved that these two got to heal. It was much needed for both of them.
I loved Christopher and Ruthie and seeing the secondary characters. My biggest complaint in this story not being rated higher was I expected to see something more in regards to these guys being a real family. I thought I would see an adoption scene or something. Maybe, I am just being greedy but after all this work it seemed like it was missing something. That being said, great story about the power of love and redemption. I also would have liked to see Cooper and Kayla have their story told.
Fighting Temptation (5 Stars): I really enjoyed this book. At the beginning I felt sorry for Julia because she was so in love with Jaxson and he would never open up to the idea of them having a relationship that went past being friends. I knew he cared about her but I hated that he kept pushing her away.
After Jaxson is hurt really bad while being on a mission for the SEALS, Julia flies to Germany to visit him in the hospital. But Jaxson refused to see her. I was proud of her for being angry enough to cut all ties with him. At that point I was even angry at him and felt he didn't deserve her love or even friendship.
Another year goes by and he finally decides to come home. My biggest issue with this was he felt he could just appear back in her life and she would accept him with open arms. I was glad that she just didn't cave in. But Jaxson continued to not want to pursue a relationship with her and that just bothered me so much. He didn't want anyone else with her either.
After a while, and some coaxing from his friend Cooper and fellow SEALS Sawyer and Cade, he opened up to the idea of them being something more serious. There is some serious drama regarding a guy who has had feelings for Julia for years. This also helps Jaxson realize exactly what Julia really means to him.
While I disliked some of Jaxson's decisions, I was glad they finally worked everything out. I am looking forward to reading the rest of this series.
Sweet Temptation (3 Stars): Updated to say I decided to go back and finish the book. I am updating my rating from 2 to 3 stars. My biggest issue is still with the fact that Sawyer sleeps with someone else just because he is frustrated at Grace and he goes and gets drunk and then takes home the town whore (who he was warned away from). I don't feel that this part was needed in the book at all. Everything that had to do with this other girl could have been left out and this book would have earned 5 stars and I wouldn't dislike Sawyer so much. Grace forgives Sawyer WAY too fast for my taste and then just days later is falling into bed with him. No woman with any self-respect would do this. Then later when she sees him talking with the girl he screwed, she gets upset and he has NO CLUE why. How stupid is he?
I am going to check out Cade's book because I have been assured by a fellow reader that he doesn't screw around with anyone. Bravo to him for being a real man.
Unfortunately this was a DNF for me. I thought I was going to love Sawyer and Grace's book. Sadly that didn't happen. I felt so bad for Grace from what we learned from her in book 1 and I was looking forward to her getting a HEA (which I am sure she does). I really liked how Sawyer was so playful and funny in the first book and he even started off that way in this book.
He claimed to really like Grace and wanted to see what could be between them. Until she pushes him away (due to issues she has from her past and thinking Sawyer wasn't really interested in her) and he decides to go to a bar and get drunk. Then he takes home the town whore (who he was warned to stay away from) and screws her...loudly. Grace decides to bake him a pie and take it to him to apologize for the things she said to him and she gets to over hear this. After that, I was done with the book. I just didn't care anymore. I know that technically they weren't together as a couple but they had each showed interest in the other and this still feels like cheating to me. I am so tired of having to read about guys who are manwhores (if they are that way in the past, that's different. But I don't like reading about it once interest is shown in the heroine).
From other reviews I have read, she forgives him immediately and doesn't make him grovel in the slightest. Which is ridiculous to me.
While I really want to read Cade's story, I am going to have to make sure through reviews he doesn't do the same type of thing. But I am going to read another book to get the bad taste of this one out. I'm so disappointed.
Resisting Temptation (5 Stars): I absolutely loved Cade and Faith's story. So glad to have this book after being disappointed with Sawyer and Grace's book. This book restored my hope in this author and will help me continue to read her work.
Cade and Faith couldn't be more different yet they were completely drawn to one another from the moment Cade heard her sweet voice while they were in Iraq. We know what happened while they were both over there.
Now it's 2 years later and neither has forgotten about the other. When Faith literally runs into Cade, their lives will never be the same. Faith has never forgotten what Cade did for her. She relishes in the fact that she had his beautiful touch on her skin before all the bad that she had to endure. Cade can't get the beautiful redhead off his mind but he still feels that he would never be worthy enough for someone as good as Faith.
Faith is drawn to a young boy, Christopher, that is doing community service at their new church. She can tell he has had a hard life but she knows there is something special within him. She connects with him and his little sister, Ruth Jean, immediately and when she finds out their home life is deplorable, she does everything she can to have them stay with her. Lucky for her she has the town Sheriff on her side.
Seeing Cade interact with Ruthie and even Christopher warmed my heart. This is absolutely my favorite book of the series. I loved how Cade, Faith, Christopher, and Ruthie were all able to heal one another and become the family they all deserve.
The Final Temptation (5 Stars): This was a great and quick read about Kayla and Cooper. I actually really enjoyed getting some details about their relationship. I do wish we had gotten more glimpses from Cooper’s POV. There were definitely times I wish we could have gotten into his head. Kayla’s love for him was so deep at such a young age but she knew he was it for her. My heart hurt for her during the moments she doubted they would have a future.
And it was nice to see the other characters from the previous books as well.
The book descriptions and other reviews I’ve read for this series have been generic and some misleading. Therefore, this review contains some spoilerish content to justify rating. First, let me say all of the guys sound very attractive and borderline bad boy / bad a$$ types and are all SEALs. Second, the girls as the group of females grow become more and more annoying being all in each others business and showing up constantly. You know the scenes where one girl is upset about something and next thing you know all the others show up smothering her in hugs and demanding she talk about it. But she didn’t ask them to come in the first place, but they take it upon themselves to assume everyone wants to talk and be touched. I despise when authors write gaggles of females like this. Have they not heard of a thing called privacy or personal space? Overall, I didn’t hate this box set, but I didn’t love it either. Would I recommend this series? If you are in a book slump and just looking for something to take up sometime, sure. The guys did come across as attractive. Fighting Temptation Book 1 Jaxson and Julia. They become best friends as teenagers. They remain good friends, he goes off and joins the Navy where he meets the next two books heroes. She’s in love with him, tells him when he’s leaving for Navy. They remain friends. He says he’s been in love with her since basically day one, but that he’s not good enough for her. So while he protects her and is her friend, even warns off other guys, he won’t take the plunge. Several years go by while he’s in Navy, she’s still waiting on him. They see each other some and they have some phone calls. Jaxson ends up getting hurt, she drops everything to fly to Germany to see him after his best friend, Cooper, his GF who is Kayla spills the beans to Julia that Jaxson got hurt. She shows up and Cooper refuses based on Jaxson’s wishes to not let her see him hurt. I would have LOST it on them all. She tells Cooper to tell him they’re done if he refuses. Que another year going by, then he shows up after his rehabilitation to see her. This is really where the current events of the book FINALLY kicks off. What annoyed me the most, is that up until this point the heroine has been with NO other men physically except Jaxson. While he was constantly having s e x with other women as a teenager and after joining the Navy prior to the relationship. While this is common for guys, it seemed useless and frustrating in this story. Really turned me off to his character. So at the present begin the push pull of them finally starting a relationship. Drama ensues from outside sources. They build their relationship, then stupid inability to process feelings by the hero happens and the heroine is put in harms way and then the hero comes to the rescue. Sweet Temptation Book 2 Sawyer and Grace. I liked this couple pretty good. Sawyer was hilarious and I loved his personality. Grace was very sweet. I liked how he saved Grace in this one and the sweet things he did for her. After they got in a relationship there was no cheating. However, before they got together after they became friends Grace was snappy to Sawyer one night and pushed him away. He got upset and drunkenly had anger s e x with a town h o. When Grace finds out she is devastated even though they were only friends and she had been mean to him. I thought this was useless to add this in the story. It really tarnished Sawyer in my opinion. And the fact that Grace just brushed it off and got over it so easily, no no no no no. I would have lost it on him and he would have had to actually WORK at gaining my attentions back. Again, the gaggle of females all butting into Grace’s business was annoying. Sawyer makes another stupid decision one night, basically just not being self aware that was frustrating. There’s no cheating though. This is a series of showing the females being carpets and the guys are the one’s growing and learning making mistakes as they go. Resisting Temptation Book 3 Cade and Faith. There is no other women drama at all in this book. Cade is probably my favorite male character in the series for this reason. However, Faith is assaulted after getting together with the H, Cade. They are apart for 2 years after she is assaulted. This made me so mad because of her butting in and stupid ignorance she brought it on herself. And ended up getting all 3 heroes of this series hurt as well. Later in the book he tells her it isn’t her fault and they don’t blame her and her therapist has made her see it isn’t her fault either. Well actually, it kind of is girl. You don’t go into another country and ignore their cultural ways and then be ignorant to being in a war zone! This book HEAVILY FEATURES religion / God / Christianity. To the point it was super annoying. Also, I didn’t buy the plot line that the H wouldn’t be bothered at all having a romantic relationship with the h after being in the same building and having been tortured by the same men who sexually assaulted the h repeatedly. It seems like having actually been present in a way that he wouldn’t be able to shake it from his thoughts. Yes, she should still be loved. But I just have a hard time believing the H wouldn’t have any negative or difficult thoughts about the situation since he had been basically present. Like in the book, besides feeling guilty it happened to her, he doesn’t have any thoughts about it otherwise. It just seemed unrealistic. The Final Temptation This is the short what I’d consider novella at the back for Cooper and Kayla. But after they were so heavily involved in all the other books, you learn so much about them and they’re a couple from the beginning; so I didn’t even read their book. Plus, Kayla didn’t come off that likable in the other books.
This series is life changing! It is amazing that fictional characters can effect your life so much. KC has brought to life these unbelievably amazing characters that touch your heart, leave your breathless, make you, laugh, cry, and rage. I seriously do not know that I have ever been this emotionally touched by an author but she has done it it with these amazing books. That's all I can say... KC Lynn you are truly amazing! I love love love your heart!!
The Men of Honor Series is one of my all time favorite Series! KC Lynn Hooked me with Fighting Temptation, Stole my Heart with Sweet Temptation, Captured my Soul with Resisting Temptation and wrapped it up with a fantastic sexy novella with another leading couple's HEA! A Definite must read series for the Alpha-male book lover!
I was told by wonderful woman named Jodi that i really should read these, She was totally right i loved this series, I love how each story is connected by still making there stories there own, I have to say out of all of them my fave character has to be Ruthie, OMG she was just so awesome. Over all this has to be one of my top reads for 2016.
my first read of 2016 and its a re read of one of my favorite series. love every word of every story. Sawyer is my dream man! I'm pissed at myslef for forgetting to out this on my best of 2015 list.
All books reviewed individually. The author tackled A LOT of tough issues and did it beautifully!!! You will definitely need tissues while reading this series.
1- Fighting Temptation Picked this book up as a freebie. Now I am hooked. I'm getting ready to one click for the other books that go with this one. I was pulled in and just couldn't stop reading. We have an alpha male alert with this book. Jaxson and Julia met when they were teenagers. They became best friends even though Julia wanted more. Jaxson doesn't really know how to love because his parents never showed him love. In fact, they weren't in his life at all. Jaxson goes away to become a Navy Seal. The book takes us back to the past and then we are hit with the story of the Jaxson and Julia seeing each other again after 6 years. There is an element of humor in the book. I found the scene with Kayla and Julia doing a stake out really funny. I loved the banter back and forth between the secondary characters. Some of their banter was witty. There is also the element of someone thinking that Julia should be his instead of Jaxson's. Lots going on in the book. Dual point of view. No cliffhanger. This is the first book that I have read by this author, but I can tell you it won't be the last.
2-Sweet Temptation
Loved this story! it was sweet, sexy, hot, tender and at times super emotional but utterly brilliant. Loved sexy Sawyer with his big head and swagger and his sassy strong "Cupcake" Grace. The story really hooked me in, and honestly I never wanted it to end but like all good things it did and that was perfect too, and a great introduction to Cade and Faith's story which I'm really looking forward to reading.
I can't believe though it has taken me this long to find this author, but I'm now going to auto buy everything she has published and I'm sure like this one I will devour them all too and I would totally recommend this series to others especially if your a fan of Harper Sloan's Corps Securitys series as this series is just as good.
3-Resisting Temptation
This is the third book of the Men of Honor series. I believe you could read this as a stand alone, but I feel strongly in my belief that you should read the first two books before diving into this one. By reading the series in order, you will get to understand the characters a whole lot better. This book is about the brooding ex-Seal, Cade. From the first two books we know that Cade doesn't seem to be very happy. He along with his two buddies, Sawyer and Jaxson went through a week of hell in Iraq. For two years they have been healing. Faith and Cade had an intense meeting in Iraq. Then after their horrible week in Iraq they lost touch. Faith is a preacher's daughter while Cade doesn't believe in God. It only takes reading the prologue to understand why Cade feels the way that he does not believe. The book begins with Cade and Faith's first meeting. We then fast forward two years to the present. I felt that this is the most emotional book of the three thus far. I cried often during this book. My heart broke for Faith and Cade, and I totally fell in love with Christopher and Ruth Jean (Ruthie). Those two kids will melt your heart. Like the other two books you get to see the Alpha side of these ex-Seals. At the time of my reading there is only one more book left in the series, but at the end of this book I read that the author is going to take a short break before resuming the series. I can't wait to read more about this group of friends. Each book is about a different couple, but the other couples are in them too. I loved the epilogue. Even though I cried during a lot of this book, there were times where I chuckled. Sexy Sawyer (from book 2) cracks me up. Dual point of view. No cliffhanger.
3.5-The Final Temptation This is part of the Men of Honor series. I have loved this series. Kayla and Cooper have been present in every book. This book is a novella that shows us how Cooper and Kayla came to be a couple. This is just a happy book as we go from present to past and back to the present. The majority of the book is from Kayla's point of view. No cliffhanger. This will leave you with a smile.
Fighting Temptation 4.5⭐️ - Jackson saves Julia from an attempted rape while at her mother’s graveyard resulting in a best friends relationship until Jacks leaves for the Navy. Sucks that Jackson gets with everyone but Julia and blocks her attempts to have any kind of romantic relationship with a guy. After taking things all the way at his graduation, Jackson starts to pull away from Julia. When he gets hurt over seas and refuses to let Julia see him at the hospital in Germany causes Julia to start looking for love elsewhere. This second chance romance is full of drama, sadness, and kidnapping. Thankfully the book has a hea ending.
Sweet Temptation 4.75⭐️ - book has a horrific opening scene which sets Grace’s life on corse to need sexy bad boy Sawyer in her life. The man whore meets the sweet southern girl romance. Sawyer is so possessive over Grace it’s adorable because it’s everything she needs in her man. Love that Sawyer was able to reconnect with his father and understand better why he was pushing for him to continue his hockey career. Sux that everywhere they go Grace is reminded of who he was before her. Twist at the end but thankfully hea for the couple.
Resisting Temptation 5⭐️ - Cade and Faith’s story. The last story gives a flips of how this story will start and it’s horrific and savage to read. Finding the specific details that were not available in the previous books is heart wrenching. Seeing their developing relationship and how they work through the events thrown at them is beautiful and an amazing ending for this couple.
The Final Temptation 4.5⭐️ - Cooper and Kaitlyn’s story, goes into their HS years. Though another boy expecting a double standard from the girl he’s interested in scaring potential guys away from her but having his own relationships with every girl but her. At least he hasn’t been doing stuff in the last year but still if he wanted her since the moment he saw her then why not save himself for her too and wait? At least they have a hea ending, but we pretty much already knew that from book 1. It is nice to see their back story after seeing their current story continued throughout the series.
K.C. Lynn’s Men of Honor series is an emotional roller coaster. This box-set delves into the lives of 3 Navy SEALS who return from active duty, battered, bruised but ready to take on civilian life once again. The series is a dual point of view read that takes place in Sunset bay.
Fighting Temptation is book one. It follows Jax who is the typical playboy from the wrong side of the tracks and Julia, the town’s sweetheart. It’s the typical best friend to lovers’ story that at times is childish but overall sets a good foundation for the series.
Sweet Temptation is book two and is all about Sawyer, the ex-navy SEAL with a big ego who falls hard and fast for the shy and reserved Grace. This book is a bit of a hit and miss for me as the author includes a plot twist that seems uncharacteristic of the characters themselves and overall does not serve a purpose in the book at all. Despite this it is a sweet and funny read that is a good transition into book three.
Resisting Temptation is Cade and Faith’s book and can be described and tumultuous at best. The characters have faced by far the biggest trial out of all of them and they take you for a ride. It delves into what actually took place prior to the SEALS return to civilian life but has a strong emphasis on Christianity and religion.
The Final Temptation is a novella that wraps up this series with Kayla and Cooper. Cooper is the typical hometown hero and Kayla is the loud mouth know-it-all. They are the glue that holds this series together. You get to know them throughout the entire series, and it felt like they deserved their own story which K.C. Lynn was happy to provide.
Overall would recommend this series and author, however, I did find that some of the plot twists were unnecessary and completely left of field to how she initially portrayed the characters.
I have had book 2 on my wish list for ever but kept putting it off when this bundle drops in for free!!!
I love KC Lynn and her stories. She makes my heart hurt for these women, and their guys.
Jaxson and Julia were a great start to the stories. I loved that Jax had a hard past and had shit to deal with. He really pushed through his issues to realize how much Jules meant to him. Jules never gave up hope on him even when he was a complete ass to her. I liked that, sometimes its easier to just give up but she didn't.
Sawyer and Grace were a slow build but she ahd some past that needed to be dealt with and Sawyer had some growing to do as well. I liked that Grace got stronger as their relationship built and that she was able to stand up to Sawyer
Faith and Cade...OMG They ripped my heart up and completely won me over. I loved both of them and my heart bled for everything they went through. I was in tears over Cades PTSD with his sister and how he reacted to Faith's father, but I loved that he dealt with it finally and pushed through to find a way to heal.
There is Honour in Duty and then sometimes you just have to do the right thing.
These men devoted their lives to service until the one time that their orders came down to not go on the rescue mission but they knew they had to go to save her. This was the one mission they almost didn't come back from and they were never the same. Each one was effected by and carried his own scars from that mission until he met the woman who would help to make him whole again. These are the stories of the worst of men and the best of men and how love can heal when you find the one you are meant to be with and fight to be with them once you find your other half. This is a boxed set and so worth while.😉 It has all the feels and you will be right there along with Jaxson, Sawyer, Cade and Cooper to take this journey with all of them. I loved starting this set and was sorry when I knew it was coming to the end. Really a great read and I would recommend to anyone 18+. Steamy sexy times and swearing appropriate to the storyline. ☆☆☆☆☆'s
Wow. My buddy had suggested the Men of Honor books to me a while ago. My biggest regret is I didn’t read them sooner. I fell in love with Jaxson and Jules. I related so much to the guys. Especially Sawyer, dropping all of his F-bombs. (I think all of us veterans have that embedded in our DNA after some time in the military.) I fell in love with how K.C. Lynn wrote the characters in a way that we could see them as our friends. These men who risked their lives to save two girls who were scared out of their minds. I cant wait to read the next book written by this fantastic author. If you are worried this isn’t accurately going to depict military veterans, you’re wrong. I had that same concern, but this was actually really accurate. From the personalities, the struggles, how we speak and carry ourselves, K.C. Lynn did an amazing job expressing the veteran mindset and with impressive accuracy!! I was blown away. I dare say this is a must read and plan to share it with friends.
I laughed and hard, and I cried so hard. There is no easy subject matter in any of the four books. There is heartbreak, fear, torture, betrayal, abuse , and pain. Finding hope and love in the middle of all that turmoil - and accepting it once its found prove to be the biggest challenge for our four leafing couples.
So often in this genre the authors can fall into one of two traps.
1. Everything is sex and there's no plot other than naked time. 2. The danger is such a focus that its all that matters and your left pretty sure the characters are feeling adrenaline rush not live.
That doesn't happen here. There's hot steamy sex scenes. There's danger, but there are inside jokes, fun moments, and life building. It feels real, which is the best kind of romance.
Can we please ignore the five star rating above and give these books the infamous ratings that they deserve? I mean seriously!! If I could take back almost every five star rating I have ever given in order to put more empathizes on this series, I completely would. Not only did K.C. Lynn blow my socks off with one amazing (hot as hades) story, but she did it again three more times without ever overshadowing or undermining any of the other characters. Wow, I mean seriously, wow. Oh.. my.. gosh.. does not even begin to describe how wonderful these plot lines were to me. Take a chance, get to know Jaxson (Julia), Sawyer (Grace), Cade (Faith) and Cooper (Kayla): I PROMISE you will not be disappointed. Each story is different and unique while also being woven in together to make a beautiful series. ❤
K. C. Lynn's 'Men of Honor Series Box Set' was an awesome read. Each novel in the set focused on an ex-SEAL's adversity and how each of them and each woman of their dreams navigated their way to a HEA. The page-turning plot in each novel was filled with adversity, heartache, lust, and sometimes, a bit of levity. I just adored Ruth Jean, a minor character and the sweet little girl in the novel with Cade and Faith. She was so precious and often added comic relief. However, although the box set was titled 'Men of Honor,' all of the SEALS showed little to no respect for the women in their presence. I could see them using profanity galore while they were in the presence of other SEALS, yet they used it non-stop with the women they claimed to love. Yet, the author had the women using the same profanity. Other than the tons of profanity, I liked the storyline in each novel.
