Rate this book
The Bestselling Cozy Mystery Series is back with more adventures! "If you like Janet Evanovich's Stephanie Plum I think you will really like Amber Fox - I know I do." ~ Martha's Bookshelf When feisty insurance investigator Amber Fox lands in Las Vegas to tie the knot with her fiancé, Brad Beckett, she’s got three things on her fun, relaxation, and lots of honeymoon action. But after one wardrobe malfunction and a botched Elvis-themed ceremony, Amber’s personal life is in overload, and her lucky knickers definitely aren’t working their magic. And if that wasn’t enough to ruin her special day, Amber finds herself in the middle of investigating the disappearance of an exotic dancer and working undercover in a gentleman’s club, Polesque, bringing a whole new meaning to seeing the Vegas Strip. In Sin City, the stakes are high, but whoever said “What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas” hasn’t bet on meeting an angry Amber Fox. Books in the Amber Fox #1 Fashion, Lies, and Murder #2 Money, Lies, and Murder #3 Voodoo, Lies, and Murder #4 Chocolate, Lies, and Murder #4.5 Santa Claus, Lies, and Murder (novella) #5 Vegas, Lies, and Murder What critics are saying about the AMBER FOX "If you like Janet Evanovich's Stephanie Plum I think you will really like Amber Fox - I know I do." ~ Martha's Bookshelf "Sibel Hodge writes in such a way that it feels like your best girlfriend is dishing the dirt and letting you in on her best secrets. Vegas, Lies and Murder is the fifth book in the Amber Fox series. This time Amber and her fiance Brad are off to Las Vegas to get married. Amber's parents are joining them, along with her sister and Amber and Brad's friends and co-workers Hacker and Tia.

Obviously, being the chaos magnet that she is, Amber's holiday starts off bad and just gets worse. Instead of getting married, they find themselves mixed up in a potential murder and having to go under cover in a gentleman's club.

I like this series of books. Amber is a great character, although sometimes I get worn out with the trouble she seems to always get into. I like how her relationships mature with each book.

This is a quick and easy and fast paced read and I thoroughly enjoyed it as expected.

Another fab read in the Amber Fox series that had me laughing out loud at times.

In Vegas, Lies and Murder Amber goes to Las Vegas where she is due to marry her fiancé, Brad. But in true Amber Fox fashion planets collide, putting not only her wedding, but the honeymoon in jeopardy, even before they leave the airport.

Add to this, being thrown into investigating the disappearance of an exotic dancer from the Polesque club, you have a cozy mystery that will have you swiftly turning the pages to see the outcome.

Hopefully What Happens in Vegas Stays There!

A completely crazy book! Amber has one goal - go to Vegas & marry the love of her life fiancé Brad. She brings with her family & close friends. What could go wrong? Everything from the time she steps foot off the plane! This story goes on a zany wild ride carrying the reader right along with it. I laughed & cried, & laughed some more! Hopefully there are more Amber Fox stories in the future.

Fun summer read.

Amber, Brad and company hit Vegas for their wedding. As in the other books nothing goes as planned for poor Amber. Filled with lots of lol, surprises, and some sweet, touching moments. This book is a Vegas winner!!!

Loved it! Amanda and Brad fly to Vegas for an elaborate wedding and honeymoon... If you're familiar with Amanda and her ability to jinx every good thing, will a funny thing happens on the way to the altar? Will they manage to get married, before they have to return home, or will Amanda jinx them again? Sibel is an awesome "Chick Lit"/ Cozy Mystery writer. I can't wait to fill in the blanks now and read the other #2-#4.

Laugh out LOUD

Ohhh I couldn't get enough of these Amber Fox mysteries.
The one liners were priceless. Some I wrote into notes on my phone thinking id like to use that one day.
I didn't realise Sibel did humour.
I WANT MORE!!!
I devoured these books in two weeks.

Well-written extremely funny novel with a lot of charm and joy.

Excellent caper reminiscent of Ealing Studio. Aaron must read for fans of silliness and unlikely scenarios. Every bit as good as previous editions.

Cute, light, fun, quasi-cozy murder mystery stuff. I like the cast of characters, and the slapstick humor was a welcome addition. I will go back and read the others in this series now that I've had a taste.

Second book in this series that I've read and I didn't enjoy it as much. Some parts were funny but overall it was slow. I'll probably try one more in the series, since the series is a little similar to the Stephanie Plum series, which I used to enjoy.

Not my type

Better with more story and less sex, sex, and more sex.
This book was way too long. Cut sex talk and activities down some for improvement.

A wacky wedding adventure for Amber, family and friends.
What I liked:
- so many funny one-liners and a hilarious cast of characters.
- the Vegas background - having lived there for a dozen years, I commend the author for vividly describing the beautiful excessiveness of the town! It was a great backdrop for their zany adventure.
- the use of the Elvis song titles was cute
What I didn't like:
- too much pole dancing! Although it was an integral part of the story to get the ladies access to investigate, the details of pole dancing were excessive - their routines, their moves, blah, blah, blah - it pervaded the story and my eyes glazed over and I just started skipping those parts.
- the author's anti-gun lecture - I read for entertainment, not to hear someone else's political views.

What Happens in Vegas

An interesting, exciting read filled with many quirky or weird characters. A very different mom and dad dynamic also make this a rather unique story. Amber doesn't make it as a pole dancer, but her usually somber sister does. Working in a club gives them info that leads to the grand finale and a wounding of one of their group.

This series started off all right, but has gotten progressively worse with each new book.
Completely unrealistic in plot, characters, and interaction between characters. I won't be purchasing the next one.

once you suspend disbelief - really how much trouble can 1 person get into, it is a great read.
