This wasn't my favorite, there was a lot of repeated information from Aurora 's dreams, which made me bored. I couldn't wait to just be done. So debating whether I want to read the next.

the perfect prequel

It was so interesting to read Colette’s story. The why, and the how of coming to America for the Vanderlind’s, and the beginnings of the families story in a new place.

History of the Vampire ( The Vanderlind Castle Series Book 4)

This book is a wonderful story about two sisters and the Vanderlind family. The sisters live in Ohio and earning wages at the local soda shop are no longer possible so they apply at Vanderlind Castle to become maids. Then Jessie Vanderlind falls in love with Collette Gibson the maid. They make plans to elope but Jessie's brother Daniel bites Collette on the neck making her a vampire. It takes her time before she returns to Jessies side.

Interesting....

I choose this rating because I enjoyed the reading.... I read the three books prior to this one n thought they were very good. History of a vampire gave me a chance to learn more about who Jessie Vanderlind was before he encountered aurora the reincarnation of his first love Collette Gibson. I recommend this book because it only helps you enjoy the the vanderlind castle series.....

I love these stories but in the 4th and the 5th book there were a lot of editing errors that, from a freelance editor's perspective, can make it really frustrating to read at times.
