My Rating:

4.5

Favorite Quotes:

“He kisses one closed eye, with my lash flittering from the sweetness of it, before he kisses the other.”

“I knew you were something special from the moment I saw you, baby. Something I knew that could ruin me in the best way possible if I let it. Something I thought would be too much for me, more than I deserved.”

“My momma once told me that the good things never come easy. But, you gotta ride through it to get to the best part.”

My Review:

Bitter Sweet Cravings brings a satisfying end to the thrilling and steamy Kingmen MC series. Tara Oakes was one of my first experiences with the MC genre, and it has been a delightful introduction and entertaining ride. Her writing is smooth, comfortable, humorous, easy to follow, and involving. I seem to quickly absorb her books as I tend to race through them, eager to see what is going to happen next. I like getting the various POVs from the quirky characters of sassy women and the alpha men who adore them. I feel a bit sad knowing the series has concluded, but I have faith that Ms. Oakes will have no difficulty in crafting new projects to keep us entertained for years to come.

I liked all of the other books in this series so I couldn't wait for this book to come out. I was totally blown away. I started reading this and couldn't put it down that I read it in one sitting. Tara writes about everyday issues that everyone could relate to. Her writing is such that you forget that these are fictional characters and not friends of yours. She takes you on a journey of love and hate and so many other emotions. I like how all the characters from all of the other books make an appearance as well as some new ones. I have always had a soft spot for Clink he has alwau

description

This was the last book in The Kingsmen MC series and it was just what the title implies, bittersweet. Over the past five books I have become attached to the characters of this MC and will miss seeing their antics and loyalty. There were a few unresolved pieces of this story that needed to be worked out. Can Charlie and Clink work their issues out, what is going to happen with Charlie and her father, what about Dana and where does the MC go from here?

"That's what's dangerous about the kind of love we got. When it's good, it's off the fuckin' charts good. But when it's bad...it's nuclear."

Charlie has come clean about why she came to town in the first place but that doesn't mean that information was taken lightly. Clink feels deceived, while everyone else seems to be taking it in stride. Charlie though, has a hard time dealing with where this bomb leaves her. One thing is for certain, she cannot get past the big, bad enforcer who came storming into her life.

"That it could be something as simple as admitting the need we have for each other. That's all that matters isn't it? Everything else is background noise."

Clink has to work past the betrayal and decide whether or not this is it for him. In taking a breather he has time for reflection and once he comes back to town a new determination. What he find when he gets there is Charlie a mess and new trouble lurking in his town.

"Something I knew that could ruin me in the best way possible if I let it."

Not only do we have the conclusion to Charlie and Clink's story but also the beginning of Dana and TJ. Dana is not looking for a bad boy and T.J is not looking for anything after his heart was torn from his chest. But sometimes when you are not looking, something amazing is found.

In true Kingman fashion, the club has a new threat to deal with and they come out with guns blazing. Taking care of the new trouble introduces us more to a different MC where new stories are going to be told. This book had just the right amount of heat and suspense to keep you glued to the end. I love the smart mouthed women and bossy but lovable men. I will miss this cast of characters moving forward but we are left in a good place.

****(I received this ARC free in exchange for my honest review)****

I am impressed to say the least. Though I didn't read the rest of the series, I felt that I didn't need to. There was enough for me in this last installment to get what had happened in the past books, so I wasn't confused. In truth you can almost read this as a stand alone.

I fell for the characters, and the story. From the first sentence I was drew in and before I knew it, bullets where flying, a creep doctor gets his and all is, well sort of, all right with their little world.

I loved the tone and writing style, it was smooth and had a sort of rhythm to it that made reading easy and exciting.

The opening, wow, explosive and captivating. It puts jumping out of the gate in a whole new perspective. Who doesn't get a kick out of someone, I don't know, smashing (throwing) glass vases that did nothing to them.

The only thing I would say that I didn't like, was the little smut teases, or them not in the right place. Either go all the way, or have it in a place where they can go all the way. (Who the hell swoons over a little dirty talk - I'm looking at you Dana... tisk, tisk, tisk)

In all I am thrilled with this read, and I will be going back a reading the rest. I'm intrigued and itching to know more into about how all these wonderful characters came to be.

I highly recommend this book, this series. These characters are will rounded, sexy, cover in leather and steamy. Their story is deep, and as Clink said "My momma once told me that the good things never come easy. But, you gotta ride through it to get to the best part.” What else is there to say, other then read this series.

I would like to thank the author and Alicia for letting be a part of this dangerously dramatic, yet sexy tale.

Happy Reading

I had the pleasure of reading this last night and couldn't put it down I loved the fiery relationship between Charlie and Clink in Bitter Sweet Beginnings and Tara did not disappoint, this book still has all the fire and passion we loved from the start but along with this we have a little hurt, forgiveness, love and danger.

Charlie is reeling from the fact that Clink has up and left her, recovering from surgery that saved her father's life well her biological father that is she's feeling betrayed once again and is not looking to forgive in the near future but she cant help but miss Clink. Clink however is hurt that she didn't trust him, he knows they have a future and sets off back home to sort through the bullshit that went down.

Un be known to Charlie she has caught the eye of a Doctor and lets just say his beside manner could do with some improvement and his little side earner has the two rival MC's having to work together the Kingsmen and the Slayers. This just adds to the drama that is going on in her life, trying to establish a relationship with Vince her biological father but she's not willing to listen to his side of the story feeling abandoned yet again and can she forgive Clink and he her.

Whilst we wait and see what happens with Charlie and Clink we also see the developing relationship between Dana (Charlie's sister) and TJ.

Please go get your copy and see if Charlie and Clink, Charlie and Vince, Charlie and her mother can sort through the difficulties and move forward all whilst the danger the good Doctor has bought her way continues. You wont be disappointed its an awesome end to an amazing series but is it the end who knows.

WOW!! is all I can say. I have liked this series but this book has exceeded my expectations. I started reading this book and before I knew it i was finished. It sucked me in and just wouldn't let go. I found myself forgetting that these were fictional characters and not real ones or friends of mine. Tara writes about real life issues that everyone and one time or another can relate to and has you rooting for everyone. I have liked Clink from the very beginning and when she introduce Charlie I found myself rooting for them to make it. Even though its their story I like how all the old familiar characters make an appearance and then she throws some new ones into the mix. They take care of their "family" and not just blood family. I love how she writes about forgiveness in that sometimes something we have known our whole life is not what it seems and there is two sides to every story and when you open yourself up to forgiveness you might just find the best part of yourself and something totally life changing right of in front of you and something you never expected, I highly highly recommend this book and series and can't wait to see whats next for this group. You will not be disappointed

Bitter Sweet Cravings is the last book in this series. I loved this story. There are some plot twists in the story line. Some that I knew and some that I didn’t. I knew something was up with Harris I didn’t know what it was but, it didn’t surprise me of what he turned out to be. I loved the ending with Clink and Charlie and Charlie’s old rag. No I can’t say anything else about it but what a great part of this book. Hopefully I have hinted enough that you will want to buy this book. But, make sure you start at the beginning of this series. I actually started at book 4 and while I was able to follow along it would have been much better to have started at the beginning.

I received this complimentary copy for an honest review. I look forward to reading more from Tara Oakes. I give Bitter Sweet Cravings 4.5 stars.

Finally the conclusion of Clink and Charlie. I was so damn worried about the outcome from the Novella , I almost had a damn Heart Attack!
As the saga concludes, Clink doesn't loose one ounce of his Stamina or Cocky Ass temperament. Thank God!
Charlie is in way over her head. It seems like when she gets one thing halfway under control, another fire starts. I love how inclusive this book was. Giving a little taste of Dana and TJ. Their building Angst and explosive magnetic force. The story cane full circle piecing the rest of Charlie's back story together. It was definitely Bittersweet, but all good things must come to an end right?
Although Tara has some shit up her sleeve, I just know it.
I will just sit back and wait for it to happen. Who am I kidding I'm gonna stalk her right now on FB to see if she's gonna elaborate on TJ and Dana.

What a great ending to a wonderful series written by Tara Oakes.

Tara has drawn us in from the very first book, A Lil less broken, in the series till this very last book, A Bittersweet Cravings. Her book are so well written that you don't realize your reading a book. You feel like your right there with the characters as they have fought, fallen in love, had sex, and broken up. Now its the end and we have to read to find out what’s happening to our favorite couples & Kingsman MC family.

If you are looking for a great series to read, you've found one.

It's sad to see this series go but I look forward to reading Tara's next series. I received complimentary copy in exchange for an honest review. Review by Melissa K for HEA Fanatics.

I received an arc from author in exchange for an honest review.

I give this a 4 star rating only because I found it easy to put down. The story was great, the characters strong and well written. The story flowed very well, I just found it easier to put down then I was expecting

I love that Tara puts so much emotional stuff into her writing, you always feel when you read her books, you feel an little bit of all emotions. She writes about real life issues. There are some twists in this book, some I figured out before hand a couple I didnt.

If you are a fan of MC books you will want to check out this series. Tara Oakes has written a must read series!

Thanks Tara for a great book to end this series!!!

A beautiful conclusion to a very memorable series

I truly enjoyed this last book in the kingsman series. Clink and Charlie finally resolve the issues that were left in the last book. We see more into the life of Dana her sister and TJ. Throw in a threat of a drug cartel bringing trouble to Chisolm and we have the makings for the perfect lead in to the next soon of series about the Slayers. Well done.

When Charlie's life is at it's lowest she ends up turning to pills. When Clink comes back he's determined to make sure Charlie knows she is still his. While Charlie is trying to stay strong and push away Clink the one person she's uses could be a mistake. Dana is trying to stand on her own but will her Mom let her? TJ is starting to feel more for someone but can he let his heart fall?

I was so disappointed in Charlie. For her to start popping pills just didn't seem like something she would do. I really hated her attitude against her father. After the way her mom had always treated her, why is she so quick to believe that her mom wouldn't lie to her?
Charlie seemed so put together and had a good head on her shoulders. Why did she think that Harris was innocent in the crime going down?
Clink finally comes to his senses but it was disappointing that he had to have his mom make him realize where he went wrong.
I still don't like Dana and I think T. J. deserves someone so much better than her.

Seriously hot

Just finished this series and damn was it good! Missing TJ's story- hint hint. First time reading this author and kudos for a fantastic read. Lil's' and Jay were something else, in the best way. Love "Sugar" and Clink but it was how they all meshed. There was enough description so you could picture the settings with out it being over done. Each character had a strong independent voice that didn't over shadow the other. There was action, suspense, some hot as he$$ sexiness and of course HEA. Loved the Kingsmen series!!!

Thoroughly enjoyed this series

Excellent ending to this series. Clink and Charlie figured it all out. There was enough excitement with the crooked Dr, and the Sisters figuring out what being family really means. New romances and the chills and thrills the life in the MC brings. Tara Oakes was a new author for me, but I look forward to reading more of her work.

This is the 6th and final book in the Kingsmen MC Series and should be read in order.

Just as we got to know and love them, we are about to say goodbye to Jay, Lil’s, Charlie, Clink and T.J. but not without finding out the last of the secrets of the Kingsmen MC.

I was given this book in exchange for an honest review. Tara has created a group of characters that you can’t help but love. Jay and Lil’s captured our heart in the first three books and keep going strong throughout the series being the rock for the others. The secret Charlie keeps from everyone is out and now she has to deal with the fall out. The shock of finding out why Charlie was there drove Clink off but not for long, after all she was his Ol’ Lady and he fights for what his. To my surprise Dana stuck around to help out her sister Charlie after she helped save her father’s life. T.J. was the one that we all thought about but never really got to see how he was doing after Em’s murder.

The conclusion to the Kingsmen story was a series of ups and downs for the characters. To top it off the Doctor who was interested in Charlie decided to step up his game just as Clink comes back to town. I always thought things were off about him but Tara kept me guessing until the very end as to what part he played in everything. The ending was surprising but fitting. Tara did an amazing job with the series and I was sad to let these characters go but The Kingsmen Series is most definitely my favorite MC series out there!!

Bitter Sweet Cravings (The Kingsmen MC Book6) by Tara Oakes is the next installment in the Kingsmen saga. The story picks up where the last book left off. Clink is still visiting with his mother trying to decide where he stands with Charlie. Charlie is trying to deal with her strained relationship with Vince, her broken relationship with Clink and her little sister. Charlie is not coping too well and turns to pain killers to ease her inner turmoil. As T.J. and Dana try and deal with Charlie’s drug issue, the two try and work through their own sexual tension. Clink decides to come back to Chilson to see if he and Charlie can work things out. Clink and Charlie try to get themselves together but there is an outside force that not only has plans for Charlie but for the town of Chilson. New players are brought into the story and old enemies of the Kingsmen will have to work together to get to the bottom of the problem. As one story comes to an end another player takes its place. Looking forward to the new saga that will begin. I am sure some of the old players will be included. I give this story 3.5 stars.

Finally, I was able to read this book as my one freebie from Amazon Prime this month and get the answers to most of my questions about Charlie, her mom and dad and the HEA she deserves with Clink.
So much excitement happens in this final installment both for Charlie and her sister Dana...but not all of it is good as they both deal with love, heartache, their over-bearing mother and a big threat to the safety and welfare of their bikers and the town they all love.
I was so excited to meet Charlie way back when she first showed up with revenge on her mind and loved to watch her change from angry abandoned daughter, to a woman who fell in love with a man and his child and became a bigger person despite her resentment towards the father she thought walked away from her before she was born.
This book does sort of wrap up everyone's storylines fairly neatly, but also opens up the doors for a new series about the Kingsmen's rival club.
If you have been following this series, then you will definitely want to grab this final book!

“Insulting a biker is a very delicate thing. You either have to be willing to face the consequences or have a bad-ass poker face to at least make him think you will.”

So when we last left The Kingsmen MC, all hell was breaking loose. Secrets and lies where coming to light and the man who should have been knocking on Charlie’s door, wasn’t, he had run. I can sum up this book in three words, drama, drama, drama. Charlie is angry that Clink wasn’t there for her. Clink is angry because of the lie of omission and Vince is angry to learn of the lies and the unwillingness of Charlie to hear his side. But the drama doesn’t end there, oh no of course not, there is more, more I tell you!! It wouldn’t be a Tara Oakes book if it didn’t include some steam, mmm, mmm, mmm. Unfortunately, this is technically the last of The Kingsmen, but I have a feeling we will see more of them in the spin off series The Slayers MC. I hope there is more to T.J.’s story. I give this book 5 stars with 3 hand down the pants.

I’ve loved every single one of the books in this series so far and this one is no exception. We’ve followed Charlie and Clink’s story through all their up’s and down’s. Charlie is struggling to go on with life after Clink decides he can’t live with the fact that she lied about who she really is. After leaving for a bit Clink comes back determined to get Charlie back, only when he returns Charlie has a new interest, a sketchy doctor from the hospital she works at. When that doctor turns out to be the one running drugs in their town the situation goes from bad to worse.

I really enjoyed that not only do we get the conclusion to Charlie and Clink’s story but we also get a taste of TJ and Dana’s story, which I can’t wait to read! Fantastically written, fast paced, interesting story. Really enjoyed and can’t wait for more!

This is the sixth book in the Kingsmen MC series & I hope it's not the last ! Charlie is still being stubborn & now she's trying to make Clink jealous with a Doctor who she works with at the hospital. Her sister, Dana has decided to stay in Chisholm & open her own bakery & her & TJ are getting closer. Lil's offers Dana the money she will need to open the bakery telling her they can be partners, Lil's will handle the business & Dana will handle the baking. One of the club whores OD's & Charlie & Clink save her together after that they are drawn back together.

Well finished this series. I liked them but my favorite was Lil' and Jay. Charlie and Clink I don't know. I love Clink but at times she just got on my nerves. In previous books she was sweet helpful but still lying but she acted like she truly cared about these people. Then in this book she was mean smart mouth and flipping people off and it was like a 360. Sorry! Glad I read this series but it was not the Charlie we all liked in the previous book although she was lying. So this lets me to think she is a smart mouth witch after all. My opinion.

The conclusion of the sexy, combustible love story of Charlie and Clink. Tara has the brilliant ability to introduce us to characters that are so well developed, we instantly fall in love with them. At times, I wanted to have the super power of sticking my hand in the book and throat punching both of these stubborn characters.
Charlie and Clink show us their vulnerable insecure side so their love story takes some unexpected twists and turns that had me rooting for them. The conclusion is a winner.

Disappointed

This ending seemed a little short and hurried. I was excited about the conclusion and really I did but, I felt it was generalized and specific with Charlie and Clink. We learned about the family dynamics and I was finding it kind of disbelieving that Charlie would be so forgiving after everything she went through. Then the Vince situation left me reeling. Overall it could have been more detailed.
