Choosing the road … PATRICE ROBERTSON has reached a crossroads in her life. Down on her luck and feeling blue, there’s nothing better than a therapeutic trip to the beach to make her feel rosy again. Except maybe the hot hunk who runs a vintage motel and makes her heart go kaboom. Always ready to rescue everyone but herself, Patrice soon finds herself helping to save the motel, a run-down bar, and a handful of strays.
A beach trip to escape brings more chaos … Patrice hasn’t met anyone worth the risk of potential heartache since her ex-boyfriend betrayed her, but she believes in fairy tales and opens her heart only to discover that she’s fallen for a guy afraid of commitment. While the cathartic Gulf heals her soul, will she discover her own happily ever after?
Coming home … JACE MYERS escaped his touristy hometown when he left for college, but after his mother’s death, he returned to help operate the floundering family business. Struggling with the bump-in-the-road obligation of the Sunrise ~ Sunset Motel, life at the beach becomes tolerable when he meets a sexy pixie of a woman who leaves him hot and bothered.
The summer might be magical after all… But Jace doesn’t count on Patrice—with her kind and whimsical spirit—breaking down his defenses. Will she ignite a consuming spark in his commitaphobic heart?
Terry Poca graduated from Kennesaw State University with a degree in Education, Secondary English. When not writing and brainstorming the remainder of The Tequila Series, she reads her favorite authors, watches movies and her favorite television series, and hangs out enjoying life with her one true hero a.k.a. her husband. Terry is currently contemplating cross-bow lessons in preparation for the zombie apocalypse.
She lives in metro Atlanta with her husband and two spoiled Plott hounds and one bossy, alpha Pomeranian.
Must love cats! And the beach! And a spunky, enthusiastic heroine.
While Celeste is probably still my favorite heroine of the series, Patrice is charming and sweet, and this book was a super easy read when we were in her POV. I was concerned after the first two books that her ditziness would be hard to take, but the author does a good job of balancing it out and showing that she really is intelligent even if she doesn't give herself enough credit. Jace as a hero had a lot to learn, but he did get there eventually. I canNOT wait for Trudi's book. :-)
