This is a solid textbook that gives the basics of spectroscopy. It lacks the formal approach of the textbook by Hollas and the breadth of the book by Pavia and co-authors. However, I see that it can be appealing to anyone who's in a pinch and wants to get a grasp of basic spectroscopy.
Good introductory book. Written in easy to understand English. The book however skips rigorous quantum mechanical derivations which, I believe, is important for thorough understanding.
